  1. Unfortunately guys of 50 years and older can go back to days when Motherwell had real quality players and could afford them. So when they do watch players who are trying hard, but don't have the basis skills to control a ball or pass it to their team mates, or continue to just lump the ball up the park to no-one, I can understand their frustration, because it get's to me as well at times. They have at least put their money into the club by attending, so have some right to criticise.
  2. You have got it 100% correct. If we could have the Hately of early last year back. He would be a useful member of that midfield. But sadly he seems to have lost his way at the present.
  3. As you say absolutely spot on. Why can we never get referee's who are at least competent at their job. We should've had a penalty just before Hibs score, and in my eyes the only reason he gave the next penalty, was to try and make up for his initial mistake. Yet again a total arse of a referee.
  4. Just a thought but we haven't seen to much of Shaun, it looks like Jonathan Page is now in front of him in the manager's plans, or is he still having injury problems? Always looked a great prospect last year before his injury.
  5. Your right it was John Greig who fouled W Pettigrew in the box, Peter McCloy booted the ball up the other end, Derek Johnstone was going away from the goal at the corner of the 18 yard box, when he dived. Took the wind out of Motherwell after leading 2 v 0 at half time, and went on to lose 3 v 2. Sickening! Little blue nosed ref!
  6. We know that! It's just they cannae count.
  7. Yeh! Really good news. Will go back to having something to eat at half time. The pies they had before were crap.
  8. Got to agree about workrate and enthusiasm. He was my man of the match last night. He put in a great shift. Well done John.
  9. Noticed that Hearts are back to their old ways. Seven of them booked in their last game. We better watch ourselves.
  10. That keeper is a complete bombscare, and should be shown the door at the first opportunity.
  11. I have to agree about Coke, hopefully he is one who we will not be giving a contract too. Doesn't seem to like breaking sweat!
  12. It's now 11 days since Stevie Hammell signed a new contract, and absolutely no news on anybody else putting pen to paper. Is anybody else getting a little twitchy about the lack of movement on the resigning of our first team players who will be out of contract soon? I know I am. Let's have some good news.
  13. Don't really understand as the Official site lists two Concession prices £12 and £10, which would suggest that there are concessions in both areas.
  14. I think you've made a very good point Starsail. I look at Coke now, and I see somebody not producing what he did when he joined. It could be he doesn't like playing wide left, but that's no excuse for the lethargy and slow thinking he now seems to be showing. Wouldn't get my vote over Jennings at the present time for the central midfield.
  15. Our new 12,000 seater stadium and training academy are now completed.
  16. Think we'll see McGlinchey from the start on the left side of midfield. So he can use his pace against Broadfoot. Unfortunately Ross Forbes just lacks that bit of pace that could make him a superstar.
  17. Ref will ruin the game as normal, and we'll get nothing from him. But hope springs eternal. Motherwell to win! 1 - 0.
  18. Does this mean we could sing " Guard old DEHLI's walls".
  19. What might also help, would be to close the south stand for games other than the old firm, and perhaps Hibs and Hearts. Less stewards and police, and make savings there, and pass some of that saving on to the supporters through lowering prices for those games.
  20. He has got to get a chance. Can't be any worse that Coke has been in the last couple of games. Anonymous, other than his wonderful tackle against Falkirk, that could have cost us the game, against a better side.
  21. I wouldn't mind paying for away games up front, if I thought Motherwell were going to benefit, rather than the money going to the home team, whoever they may be. That's the reason I don't go to Ibrox or Parkhead, because I grudge giving my money to them!
  22. We are going to have to put up with the press speculation until JB gets back from Aussie land. Then we'll see what the true facts and resulting appointments are.
  23. From what Jim Gannon has said ie: the best chance we have to win something is the cup games. I think we'll see the strongest line up, and then depending on how things go, bring on the fringe players for some game time.
  24. My take on it was, it was very worthwhile. I also thought all the players involved, even our subs including Fitzy, looked like they knew what was required of them within the team formation. Special mention for Shaun Hutchison, I thought he was terrific all game.
  25. Nobody mentions the fact that he made no attempt to get players in or signed up. He is also reported to have agreed a transfer fee for Paul Slane to Celtic for £40k, which Boyle knocked back. Why did he do that? Because he thought he was going to be Celtic's next manager, and wanted one of our crown jewels of the future there as well. Good first season. Yes! But the guy is a knob end.
