  1. I think you've made a very good point Starsail. I look at Coke now, and I see somebody not producing what he did when he joined. It could be he doesn't like playing wide left, but that's no excuse for the lethargy and slow thinking he now seems to be showing. Wouldn't get my vote over Jennings at the present time for the central midfield.
  2. Our new 12,000 seater stadium and training academy are now completed.
  3. Think we'll see McGlinchey from the start on the left side of midfield. So he can use his pace against Broadfoot. Unfortunately Ross Forbes just lacks that bit of pace that could make him a superstar.
  4. Ref will ruin the game as normal, and we'll get nothing from him. But hope springs eternal. Motherwell to win! 1 - 0.
  5. Does this mean we could sing " Guard old DEHLI's walls".
  6. What might also help, would be to close the south stand for games other than the old firm, and perhaps Hibs and Hearts. Less stewards and police, and make savings there, and pass some of that saving on to the supporters through lowering prices for those games.
  7. He has got to get a chance. Can't be any worse that Coke has been in the last couple of games. Anonymous, other than his wonderful tackle against Falkirk, that could have cost us the game, against a better side.
  8. I wouldn't mind paying for away games up front, if I thought Motherwell were going to benefit, rather than the money going to the home team, whoever they may be. That's the reason I don't go to Ibrox or Parkhead, because I grudge giving my money to them!
  9. We are going to have to put up with the press speculation until JB gets back from Aussie land. Then we'll see what the true facts and resulting appointments are.
  10. From what Jim Gannon has said ie: the best chance we have to win something is the cup games. I think we'll see the strongest line up, and then depending on how things go, bring on the fringe players for some game time.
  11. My take on it was, it was very worthwhile. I also thought all the players involved, even our subs including Fitzy, looked like they knew what was required of them within the team formation. Special mention for Shaun Hutchison, I thought he was terrific all game.
  12. Nobody mentions the fact that he made no attempt to get players in or signed up. He is also reported to have agreed a transfer fee for Paul Slane to Celtic for £40k, which Boyle knocked back. Why did he do that? Because he thought he was going to be Celtic's next manager, and wanted one of our crown jewels of the future there as well. Good first season. Yes! But the guy is a knob end.
  13. Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd Sept 7.45pm!
  14. Is Steve Jennings brother and sister on this forum? How anybody could give him MOTM, when he was only on the park for a short time and didn't realy get into the game at all, is beyond me. Stil looks heavy and not fully fit.
  15. Went for John Sutton, he won nearly every ball up front, unfortunately Jamie Murphy was never close enough to take advantage of them. J O'B gets mentioned because he finished the game by giving away the penalty, up until then Motherwell were the better team.
  16. I guy called Bobby Russell scored a double hat trick against Falkirk I think. Six goals in a 9 - 1 thrashing.
  17. Come on Mr Boyle. Get on the phone to Luc Nijholt NOW, and get him to shake hands with McGhee on his way out the door. You know it makes sense!
  18. What we don't need is another manager trying to make a name for himself and then move on, be it Neil Lennon or anyone else. I believe we should look for someone with experience. A Tommy McLean or some one like that, who is on noboby else'e radar, and would be happy to stay with Motherwell for a few seasons to get some stability back. This changing managers every season or so is hopeless for continuety, and for attracting players.
  19. If we could get somewhere and recreate the Nancy Trip atmosphere that would be fantastic.
  20. I don't agree that the only reason is to get pissed. I was at Nancy and the atmosphere and friendship of the fans there - pissed or not was fantastic, and a very uplifting experience. I would like the opportunity to have that again, hence hope we get the place in the Europa Cup.

I think your wrong there. I'm sure the tannoy said over 2800 in attendance.
  22. Seems like we've fell right out of the game! St Mirren all over us.
  23. Have any St Mirren players been booked? Their in the running for this Fair Play place as well.
  24. Just shades it as the worst manager ever, just ahead of Roger Hynd. But still the luckiest man alive, just ahead of Andy Watson. Does anybody know what he does?
  25. Best news for a long time. Well done to everyone concerned, including the board, and to all the Motherwell fans who let our chairman know what we thought about the Cooper situation. No means No!
