  1. We have to back this. I know it will be hard for some folk, but there is the option to pay it up. This is probably the one chance we'll get to secure the future of our great club, and we have to take it. I have already joined. I don't want the club to get into the hands of someone who is waiting for the markets to recover, and then cashing in by selling Fir Park to Tesco's or something. So let's do what we can to find some level of membership to secure our club's future.
  2. Keith Lasley's tackling was brilliant throughout the game, and while Ojamaa was excellent again as was Randolph. keith for me.
  3. I look at all the comments in this post. Everyone saying it's not Higdon's fault. it's the tactics. We've been saying for months that he doesn't get the support he needs etc etc. Well, if we can see that, how come the manager can't!
  4. I'm really happy about our position in the league, and the possibility of perhaps European football. But I would I rather it had been acheived by winning at home rather than away. The majority of our fans haven't seen how we played against Dundee Utd or Hibs away, and that could be why so many folk on here are moaning, because they are right, our home form is relegation material and has to addressed sooner rather than later.McCall has to find a way to reverse what the majority of our supporters see, our home form, which is mince.
  5. Sorry Weeyin, would like to agree with you, but I rate John Sutton a better player than Higdon. He worked for the team when he was here, and it's the same players that were around then, that are here now.
  6. Yes let's use it for someone up front. Noticed John Sutton played against Hibs and contributed to two of their goals. Pity, I did hope we might somehow get him back, but probably unlikely now.

I think we have to put the fans on the list. the players were second to every lose ball, but the fans were second to none. Well done guys.
  8. I don't think Jennings will appeal this ban. Does it not seem strange that Jennings didn't play at this time last year, due to being sent off, so he had Christmas at home. Maybe he's at it again.
  9. OK If what you say is right about standing in a seated area, why is the law not upheld for everybody. Why are the Mould Firm allowed to do what they like and stand at every ground they go to. If it's the law it applies to everyone!
  10. If Stuart McCall is reading this, he would be well advised to look at the list of managers, who have left for supposed better things. With the exception of the first two, Billy Davies and Alex McLeish, they have found that the grass is not always greener elsewhere.
  11. The exception if you want the name was Jamie Murphy. He is definately not the player he was last season. He tried but nothing came off for him. Hopefully that will change and we'll see the best of him as the season goes on.
  12. It was very noticeably quieter in the away end yesterday. I think it's shocking that these tin pot hitler's can get away with stopping people, who are only there to enjoy themselves and support their team, from doing so. We do have to take this further. These people are killing the game, by their attitude, and they have to be stopped.
  13. A lot of excellent performances. I went for Keith Lasley, but surprised nobody has given Nick Law a vote, because he was really getting about the park. But all in all, everyone with one exception were on top form.
  14. The initial poster is absolutely right. When guys like Page etc see someone like Tim Clancy getting a game in front of them. They must wonder if they have a future at Motherwell, because if they aren't any better than him, they shouldn't be here.
  15. I think your wrong there. If you look back to the last game against Kilmarnock. Eremenco brought their players into the game by finding a pass between defenders. That's how they got their goal. We have ended up passing to the wingers in a static position most times, rather than a defence splitting pass that they can run on to and cross. That's why we were so ineffectual in the Cup Final, our wide players always seemed to receive the ball facing their own goals, and invariably passed the ball back the way.
  16. It must be those specs you wear. Take then off, Hughes would be an excellent signing. He is the kind of player we have been missing in midfield. He is someone who would have helped Jeffers make more of an impact than he did, because he has the vision to see forward movement. Bottom line, I hope your wrong!
  17. So what your saying is, as long as the player is not trying to seek advantage, or there are no opposition players near him, it's Ok to use your hands to stop the ball going past you? What a load of bollocks!
  18. I accept we were pretty poor second half, but by that time the players knew they were going to get nothing from the excuse of a referee, and the heads went down.
  19. I was brought up watching that wonderful team. Charlie Aitken was my hero. Never saw anybody who could head a ball like him. Happy days indeed, even if they never won anything!
  20. I have to agree. Get the bigot brothers out. OK so we lose out on some TV money, but what I reckon we get in return is a more competative league where at least 8 teams could win it. Fans coming back because of the reason above. Then perhaps let the squirm back in on our terms not theirs.
  21. Why are you talking about Wullie McFadyen. Nobody brought him into the debate, other that Welldell. Noboby has said anything about him being there to score goals. The older members of this forum have never mentioned him. So what's your problem? I do agree with Shotts. Faddy will always be one of my favourites, as would Davie Cooper, Dougie Arnott, Tom Boyd, but you have to remember these 3 players were playing for Motherwell 20 years ago now! Seems just like yesterday doesn't it.
  22. Your wrong! It's only younger fans who can't compare, because they have only seen the modern players. Older guys have seen both the older players and the younger ones. So they can make a comparison. Whether you like that comparison or not is up to you.
  23. You obviously forgot the team of the 50's who won the league and the Scottish Cup. How many scottish international players do we have now. In the 60's we had five Motherwell players in the one scottish team. No it's unfortunate but the guys of today are definately fitter but they are most definately not better.
