A striker who can score 29 goals a season is worth a lot more than a million pounds. If as is reported teams like Wolves are interested in him. One million pounds is pocket money to teams like that. I'd be asking at least 4 million to them.

I'm very much a traditionalist. Stick with the Claret Hoop. You very rarely see Ceptic change from their normal home strip of stripes. Why we need to go with the terrible strip we had this year I don't know. Only my opinion of course.

Think we were fortunate that Slattery was suspended. Meant we didn't have the Slattery, Goss, Spittal midfield which doesn't seem to work.

Marvin Johnson versus Devante Cole tonight. Barnsley v Sheffield Wednesday.
-
Thought Liam Kelly was extremely poor today. Not once did he play the ball out to feet. It was a hump up the park all game, and half of them he couldn't even keep in the park. Just giving the ball back to Rangers all game.

I'm with Yoda here. When I go tonight, I sincerely hope I don't see the same three names in the midfield. That will put me on a downer right away. I hope Stevie can see what most of the support can see. Slattery was St Mirren's best player, he kept passing to their players. Goss doesn't track back to help the defence, and can't tackle anyway. Spittal runs about, but he takes too long to make decisions. So overall a not too functional midfield. We need another Alan Campbell in midfield, who will get in about the opposition and break up their play. I know it doesn't sound like it but I am a pretty positive person normally, and sincerely hope the new faces bring an upturn in our fortunes.

And some of them are not with us because of Alexander.
-
At least Slattery's not in that lineup.
-
I went for Dean Cornelius, because he wasn't on long enough to get as bad as the rest.
-
You then wonder why we spent as much money to refurbish the east stand and the pitch, if money was as tight as they are alluding too. As far as being able to sell players, I can only think of one that might be worth something at the moment. Liam Kelly. Other than that, if you put all the midfield players together as job lot, you might raise £50,000, or is that being optimistic?

Arbroath decide to start with 10 men, which means they win 2 v 0.

The SFA need to grow a set of balls and tell Livi and Kilmarnock to have grass pitches the same as everyone else.

We really need to get Shields off the park. I don't care who they replace him with, he just does not cut it in the Premier League. Sorry.

We seem to have problems everywhere, if you read all the comments on this forum. For me the biggest problem is midfield. we don't have players who track back, tackle and support the defence when the other team is on the ball. Or support the front men going forward. The fact that Goss and Slattery are there every week, shows the lack of depth we have in that area. Not an easy fix.
-
Is he a better golfer?
-
That is why we lose so many silly goals. Goss especially, cannot tackle or track back, and we need the midfield to do that to help the defence. It just doesn't happen.
-
I agree that the midfield of Slattery, who couldn't pass water at the moment and Goss, who couldn't tackle anything, are not what's required. We need tacklers and chasers in there. Unfortunately I think we need to go back to long ball shite against this mob, if we try and play out, they will close us down at every opportunity.

I have no idea why people voted for Penney. In my opinion he had his worse game for us yesterday.

I just hope we don't see Morris anywhere near the team sheet. -
Why oh why did he bring Morris on, that's us playing with ten men as well.
-
Great to see Willie MacFadyen in it. Hopefully my avatar get's in soon. Charlie Aitken was my hero, another great player to grace Fir Park.

When does McKinstry make an appearance?
-
We all know if that had been either one of the ugly sisters, the Tierney one would have been a stonewall penalty.
-
I was speaking to someone today who reckoned Paul Lambert was also in the frame for manager. Is he available?

Just a pity Owen Coyle has taken the job at Queens Park. His experience would have been invaluable.
