  1. I do like Alan Campbell, because he normally always gives 100 percent, but his one drawback is he is not quick enough. Any one watching the last few games, he gets caught in possession, they catch him if he tries to run with the ball, and he needs too much time. I would like him to get a big move, and a bigger pay deal, but I really don't see it happening.
  2. The fact that Ceptic played their game on Monday, with a weakened squad, can only strengthen the argument against both St Mirren and Kilmarnock. not playing theirs.
  3. Saw some white smoke coming out the board room window. Means new something.
  4. We need to move O'Hara back to centre half with Gallagher, and go from there. They were the most successful partnership we've had. No mistakes from O'Hara because he could see the game in front of him. As soon as we went back to Mugabi, Lamie etc we haven't won a game.
  5. To me the biggest problem we have is we don't have a leader on the park. Previously we had Hartley, now we have Gallagher, and I just don't think he has the right makeup to be Captain. I look at the team, and the only candidate I see who might work is Watt.
  6. Really can't see these being overturned. SPFL have made their decision, their not like Boris, turning all the time.
  7. I believe O'Hara is a better defender than midfielder, and we should go back to using him and Gallagher as the central defence. Put Maguire back in as the holding midfielder, and hope that Polworth gets the finger out his arse, and starts to show that he can pass the ball to his team mates. Also stop the long ball rubbish, and get someone up front to assist Watt.
  8. With Campbell and Maguire back available, I would go back to the back four that was in place before of O'Donnell, O'Hara, Gallagher and McGinley, and take it from there with Campbell , Maguire and Polworth in midfield.
  9. I agree about McBurnie, 14/15 games and no goals. His hold up pay is virtually non existent , he's not that great in the air. We need another option up front for the future, he ain't it.
  10. Why oh why is McBurnie still in that squad. He is absolutely murder, and shouldn't be anywhere near the Scotland team.
  11. Am I the only one who thought O'Hara looked very comfortable playing in the back four. I wouldn't hesitate to play him there again.
  12. Ryan Jack was probably the worst Scottish player on the night!
  13. I do rate Alan Campbell, but I don't see him going south because the one thing he lacks is pace. If he was a yard faster he would have gone long before this.
  14. Allan Campbell is a very committed player, who gives his all for the cause, his only problem is that he is not quick enough, otherwise he would have been gone long before this.
  15. I have said it in a previous post, we do not have a leader on the park. When we had Hartley, while he was pretty slow, he was a leader and I believe could motivate the team. Gallagher is not the right man for captain I'm afraid. Also a previous poster mentioned as I did "billy big baws" they play like they just need to turn up, and they'll win. Two nothing up, if that had been the ugly sisters they would have run that team into the ground, not ease off and let them back into the game. The same thing happened against Hamilton, we let them back not the game, the problem being if you ease off, its very difficult to raise your game. We need to play at tempo for 90 minutes, not 45.
  16. I have supported Motherwell for over 60 years , and I don't normally get too down about how things might pan out, but watching that game gives me the fear. We have one piece of magic from Campbell, and then the rest of the match were absolutely honking. Polworth wants too much time on the ball, and really did nothing positive of note, I could say the same about O'Hara, there are others who I'm sure, believe they are better than the other teams , and never seem to give 100%. How many chances did we create ( one ) that is relegation material, and the sooner some of this team realise that, and get the finger out, and give everything they have for the team, we will be in this position for a long time. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
  17. We can't be any worse than we are. So the above is a good shout.
  18. Could be the responsibility of captaining the team is affecting him, perhaps it should be given to someone else, although I wouldn't know who.
  19. I also think that we don't have a leader on the field to boot a few arses and get players motivated. While I like Gallagher I don't see him as a leader on the field. We miss someone like Hartley who did seem to bring a bit of urgency when needed.
  20. I think we should enquire about Jamie Murphy, he is a better option than Hylton for sure. Maybe we could give Sevco back their star right winger, and get Murphy as a replacement.
  21. I'm thinking that Declan Gallagher is not as good a Captain as Hartley was, and doesn't seem to get the same out if the players around him.
  22. Tait's tried it on. He was offered two contracts which he turned down, obviously trying to get a better one. Covid hits, and he then tries to accept the offer, he had rejected, in the hope the club would just accept that. In the light of the situation, Motherwell quite rightly, in my opinion, adjusted the offer to what they could afford, while still allowing him to go for his coaching badges. Tait took the huff at that, and left for St Mirren's offer. If he can't see the bigger picture, then more the fool him.
