As much as Celtic are a bit of a shambles just now the omens for the game are not good, was just reading we have lost our previous 7 games against Celtic with an aggregate score of 25-4 so it will be a tough ask, but not beyond us if our approach and attitude is good from the start.

What level of player do you really think we should be signing then it's the January transfer window ffs mid season, players who are regular starters for their teams, scoring lots of goals, and playing well tend not to be available. This window is about stabilising the team in some key positions by bringing in experienced players to get us back to winning ways, the full rebuild will be during the summer, when GA can put his own stamp on the team. Don't know a lot about Foley but by all accounts he is a decent player and to be fair somebody with experience of playing for teams at the wrong end of the league in avoiding relegation is what we need right now.

It was worthy of discussion, but its been done to death, we all know player recruitment was poor, our results have been poor, and SR is getting the blame for it, and he finally admitted that and walked away. The main debate now should be how GA performs, who he keeps and who he bins and what he needs to do with the team to get us up the table and avoid relegation. I am sure the resident forum trolls will have a new thread for GA resigning in place if we don't see an improvement in the coming weeks.

He is no longer the manager, and nothing to do with the club, who cares whether he was asked to resign or it was his own choice,. As for his legacy we are where we are, endless debate about poor signings, and tactics in previous games etc are irrelevant. It's now up to GA to sort out the mess we are in results wise and I am sure he will have the boards full backing financially if he feels new players are required. So if the mods have removed the thread then so be it, we don't have threads about why McCall or McGhee, Gannon, Brown , etc left or were sacked clogging up the servers just in case somebody wants to add a comment years later, so why should Robinson be different.

Said it before, we need VAR in Scotland, its not perfect but it would look at some of the shite decisions we get from refs up here and hopefully highlight their obvious errors. But given the incompetent arseholes currently running Scottish football I won't be holding my breath waiting for it.

So referees dish out yellow/red cards every time the hear players swear at each other, aye OK then., most games would finish 4 a side . If the alleged language was directed specifically at the ref then fair enough, but if Polwarth was giving the player who had just upended him a mouthful, is that really a booking or a straight red. Given the general shite performance of the ref in the game, I think an appeal might be justified in this case.
