Sorry to see him go,given time i reckon he would have turned it round this season,but something has gone wrong this season and I suspect he had lost the dressing room. But he has probably been the best manager we have had in recent years, he gave us consecutive 2nd place finishes, a Scottish cup final and my personal highlight a place in the champions league. So he goes with my best wishes and thanks for a memorable few seasons as a well fan. But onwards and upwards the board needs to get a replacement in asap and get the team motivated and playing again, there is still time for this to be another decent season.

Agree with this the WS was a waste of time from the start it was never going to get anywhere near the targets they set. we need to get people in who can run a business properly, seek out investments, maximise revenue streams and get us living within our means. In short the club needs a leader with business experience at the helm, not a promoted media manager, who i have no doubt is doing his best, but i think the job may be too much for him

Its officially a crisis now..our confidence is rock bottom, this is virtually the same team minus hutchie and faddy that took us to 2nd spot last season, so why are we so pish this term. I am a fan of SMC but he seems to be bereft of ideas at the moment,we need results now, no fancy formations etc just a few win uglies to get the confidence up. However with all the upheaval at the club over the summer and our acute lack of cash i fear SMC's time may be up

I would take a 1-0 win ugly for this one, its the cup, the result is the most important thing here. Still a good performance would be great to build on the result at Parkhead today.

That's the kind of score that would not surprise me at all,playing shite for weeks then pulling out a good result its the Motherwell way. We know we have to get every player at 100% to give ourselves a chance to get anything from the game, its about time our season got up and running so a win on Sunday would be great. That said my head tells me that it won't happen but Celtic are beatable Delia is still trying to find his best team and they definitely don't have the same quality players this season, so heres hoping.

This for me as well, i have said it right from the start we dont have the fan base and enough people willing to commit financially every year to make fan ownership a reallity, everyone who wants to join the WS has done it already, local businesses are struggling so there is no money there. We need another John Boyle type of backer to secure the future, as the money wont come from the WS.

Every game we play just now is tough mainly on the fans watching it, but i have a feeling that the Ross county league game and the 2 Accies games will finally get our season going. 2 Local derby wins in a week, bring it on.

O'Brien for me, he was a standout,looked comfortable the whole game.

Agree with that 2nd half we were playing not too bad, but offering no goal threat, but that said neither were St. 1 decent chance and they took it a draw would have been a fair result. Still 99 points to play for, onwards and upwards brg get on

Why ? they are a team, who come next may will be struggling at the wrong end of the table, granted they have had decent start to the season, but the bottom line is, we are a better team than them, better individual players (assumming our 1st choice players are fit) so i cant see why we would not be favourites in the match.

They were only seeded in R1, so yes we can draw them assuming they beat ICT in R2,

Fraser Kerr for me, seems a lot more Confident as a centre half had a good game today, pass marks for Twardzik as well but the other 9..shocking

A bit harsh on Ferguson on the boy was constantly left exposed with no cover in front of him, I don't think he is ready for the 1st team yet but showed some good touches in 2nd half. He needed protection and got none

We got what we deserved from that game today... Feck all that was as comfortable a 3 points as ICT will get all season. OK we have a few players out but we have no shape no goal threat and look unfit. It can only improve, hope it's soon, time for SMC to earn his wages a day get the team stable and playing like a team.
