Wow, this is Pathetic. All the folks on this forum do is moan and degrade the players. I was at the Hibs Game and Gow did well. in Fact the only bad thing he done was not score from an extremely tight angle with a header.
The miss at Hibs was bad, he should have done better from 2 yards out
That said i think he is a good player and given time he will be a real asset to motherwell. The whole team were poor against St mirren, We are missing lasley in midfield, Hatley cannot play there, so until Lasley is fit i would have a middle 4 of Humphrey, Jennings, Forbes and Gow that would give us a bit of pace down each side.Murphy was poor on Saturday but if Blackman stays beyond January then that could be a good pairing up front, with Sutton as an option.

Away to Dundee once again we get a dodgy draw, but they will have half a team by then so we should pump them easily, our away form is not too bad.

The SFA are not blameless in this situation they should have dealt with the whole Dougie McDonald episode better, he should have been sacked, and never allowed to referee another match. That said the SFA have not had the balls to stand up to Celtic and deal with their players and management calling them cheats, biased etc.
The Celtic board are guilty as well as they have constantly refused to critise their manager, who if he was an ordinary fan and acted like that he would be in the jail.
The other clubs should get together and force the SFA to act and get this crap sorted out, for the sake of the game

Solid 2-0 away win.
We should have been out of sight against St Mirren in the first 30 minutes at Fir Park and they got back into it as we tried to sit too deep.
They should attack more as they are on their own patch and we can exploit them with our pace.
Sounds easy doesn't it? Wish it was!
Agree with this one a good away win is on the cards, we are playing well just now, Blackman and Humphrey are on fire

I think the only people who are likely to buy the half season ticket are regular attenders to Fir Park, so they will probably
know about it anyway .i dont think many people would buy someone a season ticket without asking. So the adverts might
not bring in enough revenue to justify the cost of putting them out.
On the general point though i dont think the club advertises itself enough outwith the web site, they could probably do a
lot more locally, papers, radio etc. We need all the supporters we can get so increasing the advertising budget might be
a good move.

I dont agree with the "curse" tag but it is unusual for 4 players in the same team to have died at a young age, the 91 cup final team never played together again, as Boyd went to Chelsea before the start of the next season.
Another squad member Colin "Psycho" O'Neil had to retire early from football due to Injury so you can see why the Curse label is used. This might be a job for Mulder and Scully

Whether or not Gow has skill he obviously thinks a lot of himself how after a gutless display like he had in Leith he has the bare faced temerity to question team mates inability to deny Derek Riordan space.He can eff off as soon as :wank:
very harsh i think he is beginning to come on to a bit of form, he needs games to sharpen up, that said it was a bad miss on saturday but every motherwell player has been guilty of that at some time. Motherwell just need to find a bit of concistency and string a run of wins together we managed it last season about this time, no reason why we can't do it again.

If we are serious about finishing 3rd or 4th this season theses are the games we need to win. I think we will win, but if St Mirren put the shutters up like they did against celtic then we might struggle as we never seem able to break teams down.
Can anyone confirm if the game is all ticket or pay at the gate ?

And me. Totally fed of of people trying to tell you how to act at games. I'm sorry but I don't go and watch Motherwell to create an atmosphere - I go to watch Motherwell play!
It's laughable that you want to move the folk that dont sing to the east stand to the main stand - there wouldnt be enough room and only about 20 folk left in the east! The folk that try and create an atmosphere during the game are a wee bunch of boys at the end of it - a minority! Move them instead!
Seriously, you cant say if the atmosphere was better the attendances would grow - people simply dont have the money regardless of atmosphere! Or even want to go to the games at all.
If youd rather go and watch st mirren then you cant be much of fan - i wouldnt watch anyone over motherwell! Having said that, all this atmosphere crap just brings up the "im a better fan than you" pish which does my head in. I only mentioned the above because you said youd rather watch st mirren over motherwell - Why? Your a motherwell fan!

The very fact that they face a panel of their pals when they do fuck up is a total joke.
While the quality of referreeing on show was shocking we cant escape the fact that we lost because Craigan made a C**t of it twice
allowing Riordan to score, and Gow headed wide from 2 yards out !!!We are creating chances and by all accounts from people who were at the game we we the better side, so lets concentrate on the football and not get sucked in to the conspiracy theories coming from Parkhead. Same team as Wed for me.
Hibs will take Huge heart from victory at Ibrox.
Blackman is on Fire and a brace from him will see us take a point 2-2.
Thoughts.
Hibs will get a boost from beating Rangers but they are still a Dodgy side,
we look to be getting a bit of consitency at last, if all thet main players stay fit, ie Blackman, Murphy, Jennings, etc then we will do well. I am going for a 2-0 win to Motherwell ( Blackman & Murphy). Our away form has been good so we should go to Easter road with high hopes of a great result. -

It makes no difference who the ref is they are all dodgy, if the well play as we know they can we will pump hibs as they are Sh*t.
This nonsense with refs has been going on for years, its only getting lots of press now as nobody at the SFA has the balls to stand up to the conspiracy theorists at Parkhead and tell them to Feck off You can pick any team you like and if you go back far enough you will find that for every decision they think has gone against them, there will be one that they have got away with. Fans have been arguing about referee's decisions since football started, every country,every league. The only reason we seem to be obsessed with it is that Celtic have been carrying a huge chip on their shoulder since 1888 trying to convince anybody who will listen that the establishment is against them, and the media seem to like it.
So never mind who the ref is support the team and we will get the result, we are better than them.

Totally passed me by, the whole casual thing. I started going to 'Well games aged 14 in 1988, so I could have quite easily fell into the whole scene. I just don't get it though. Why go to a game thinking (hoping?) you're gonna get a punch in the face at some point in the afternoon. I thought it was all bollocks back in the day and I still think its all bollocks now. And I certainly don't need to be reading some half-arsed, over-exaggerated and egotistical account about how 'we' done over some fucking firm or whatever back in the day. No offence, but I just think it's all bollocks.
Could'nt agree more the whole Casual thing was bullshit a load of guys using football as an excuse to fight and behave like a**e holes. Now we look back and it is viewed as some sort of "right of passage", for your average foottie fan. What it done in reality was that every ground or town you went to in those days you were herded about like cattle by the police. you could not get into any pubs etc. Does anybody really thing that that was a good thing?
Fair play to the Guy who wrote the book, but these kind of books are always based on the Authors and other contributors recollections of the time, and these are always exagerated and "sexed Up" to fit the story and should be viewed accordingly.

Our home form needs to improve if we are going to keep a grip on 3rd. Murphy coming back is a big bonus and Gow Blackman and Humphrey all look to be in good form just now, so i think it will be a good win for us.

Totally agree that the referee did not lose us the match, but his totally inept display was a big factor.
1. Canning should have been Red Carded for bringing down Blackman, so after Hatley fucked up the pen we should have had an advantage.
2. Constant time wasting, diving, and blatant cheating by Hamilton was not dealt with, the sight of the hamilton player on the ground rolling in agony in the second half then peeking through open hands over his face to see if he had a free kick was embarassing.
3. The referee with a good view missing Imries,deliberate handball to keep Gow's header out.
4. Hamilton players kicking the ball away at every oportunity when play stopped, straight booking every time, but again no action from Thompson.
It the ref had done his job properly then hamilton could quite easily have had at least 2 if not 3 men sent off. And as shit as we were i would have fancied us to get a result against those odds.

Before the game is the only time you seem to be able to get a pie these days, Kiosk in main stand ran out of hot water FFS !! so no Bovril. In house catering seems to be run by a bunch of amateurs

Never mind the Bad referee and Hatley's shit penalty we got the tactics wrong from the start, Why was Forbes on the pitch for 90 mins, he contributed nothing ? We would have been far more effective with Gow, Jennings and Humphrey in the middle with sutton in front of them and Blackman and McHugh up front a sort of 4-3-1-2 formation.
Everybody in the ground could see Forbes was worse than a man short so why did Broonie and Knox not see it.
Every time the ball went forward nothing stuck, Sutton is as slow as a week in the jail but he wins the ball in the air, and that's what we were missing.

We need to seriously raise our belief level and between us and the club get a positive mindset together as we head towards this.
If we go expecting a drubbing. Guess whit we'll no be that upset if it happens. If we convey to the playing side of the club that we're heading to this game 'expecting' this. Then guess whit? If we go a goal down the mindset will be "a fuck it nobody expected us to win this"
This is our time to do this! It's Craig Brown's time to do this. It's our time to go in there and finally get something against this mob. I dunno about you but I'm fed up with these bastards robbing us or in the Final a few years back - us not turning up.

Totally agree the SFA are run by the Blazers from all the wee diddy teams like Brechin, Clyde, etc who are only interested in their free trips abroad and not paying into matches, they dont give a feck about the state of the game.
There has been a deafening sillence from Hampden throughout this whole sorry affair, McDonald should have been sacked immediately, Celtic and Neil Lennon should have been charged with misconduct for calling all refs Cheats etc, so i am with the refs on this one.
However all it does is feed all the conspiracy arseholes at Celtic park and gives them further justification.
We need to clear out the whole SFA and get people in who are experienced at running a multi million pound business, or football in scotland is F**Ked
