I thought Ramsden played well, looked good on the ball, even heard him shouting a bit and showing some leadership at the back, he looks to be worth a deal. As for Hatley he was in his best position yesterday at RB, our 1st choice back line should be Hatley, Saunders, Hutchison, Hammell, but Ramsden and Cummins looked to be a solid partnership yesterday as cover until Saunders and Hutchie are fit.

So based on that sumary of our chances you wont be bothering to go to the game as we have no chance..? Of the 4 teams we could have got, Panathinikos are probably rated 3rd in terms of ability etc so it was a good draw for us. We played well yesterday against a strong EPL team who i consider to be better than the Greeks so we have a chance, especially with the home leg 1st, keep a clean sheet and we have a great chance to get through. Winning this tie probably earns the club over a million pounds by guarenteeing another 8 games, so we need to believe it can be done.

I am going Prestwick - crete (Ryanair) then Crete - Athens (aegean) leaves Prestwick 06.55 Tues and in Athens at 18.30. Coming back on thurs Athens- London Heathrow (17.25 - 19.20) then BA back to Glasgow (21.00 - 22.20). All in £321 and no overly long waits at airports, and no stopovers required

The club charters are always dear..to be honest i think they try to recoup some of the official party and hangers on costs from the rest of the fans travelling. I hope thats not the case, you pay the premium for no hassle...all transfers..Glasgow to Athens direct etc. but is it worth around £300 extra i think not

Flights booked..bit of an adventure out Tues from Prestwick to Athens via Crete and then back Thurs,Athens-Heathrow-Glasgow but decent price at £321. Anybody recommend a decent hotel, preferably with other Well fans in it, central, near stadium etc

i will be going no matter where it is...this might be the only time i get to see Motherwell play in the champions league so not going to miss it..

I still like the idea of all the ST holders paying at the gate for the games against club 12, with 1500 or 2000 ST holders it would be a tidy sum raised. Plus it would generate some positive publicity and show the fuds at the SFA / SPL that Scottish football can survive without the Govan tax dodgers.

In previous seasons they have managed to get tickets printed and sold in short turnaround times, so its not impossible, it just seems strange that they are selling them possibly a full month before the game. Still bought mine today though

Thats the complaint i have as well, biggest game in the clubs history and we might have a ticket with TBC as opponnents and date on it, Maybe they will not get the tickets printed and issued until they know which one of the 4 teams we are getting

There are dark forces at work here, the SPL are doing their best to get the Hunco into div 1 and back into the SPL as soon as they can. The cynical bit in me cant help thinking that the day after the story breaks about a re-construction deal being done, all of the SPL clubs are falling over themselves in declaring a "No" vote. The SFA need to chake charge of this nonsense and get them expelled from Scottish football for good. If this had been any other team outwith the ugly sisters they would have been killed off months ago.

Why not ? I think we should be taking a short term financial punt, we only need to get through 1 round to ensure another 6 group stage games (Europa League) and all the rewards that brings. Sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate, bring in a decent player on a good wage, and you might get the rewards, you wont win the raffle if you dont buy the ticket.
