Cant argue with that, we done it with Higdon, Bair and Miller, cashed in when their stock was high, and time proved it to be the right call, at least for the 1st two. Maswhanise is no different, hes a young developing player, already played at international level, so if an acceptable offer comes in ie over £6 million we will sell him, the same as we did with miller, with a good sell on clause.

Falkirk dont own the main stand its leased long term. They only own the other two stands, so i presume any non match day revenue goes to whatever organisation actually owns the stand, i think it was the local council at one point.
-
If Celtic and us both win this week its going to be very tight at the top, Hearts on 63, Celtic 58, Rangers 57 and Motherwell 56. Does being 7 points off the top in March finally qualify us as title contenders.
-
Hopefully for Motherwell and not Manchester Untd as i suggsted 😂

I see the luddites are out in force tonight, we have two srands at Fir park that are not fit for purpose by todays standards and expectations from the paying public, bolting seats to old terracing and having people pay to sit on seats in the pod stained with pigeon crap, every 2nd or 3rd one broken, turnstyles that were modern the last time we won the league, unsafe congestion in public areas etc and people are getting teary eyed and sentimental about it, aye ok then. Would you accept sub standard and or potentially unsafe conditions in a theatre, restaurant etc, football grounds are no different.

Im sure if a new stadium was built at the craig, upper crust would open a 2nd outlet, or would more infrastucture be required?
-
Given that the pod was built long before the complex planning, and environmental rules and regulations we have now, is it realistic to expect that the pod can be demolished and rebuilt to the same size and capacity on the same footprint. For me i dont think it can be, the cooper stand was halved in size due to residents objections as it was originaly supposed to be the same as the McLean stand. For me a refurb is not an option given its wooden construction, and the difficulties that creates with saftey regulations etc and im not convinced a total rebuild would be allowed under todays regulations etc.

The Sky coverage of the uglies game showed, JBA and his agent, leaving Ibrox at 80 mins today, obviously chevking the opposition but why was his agent there? However Alex Ferguson was also there so maybe he was being tapped up for the Man Untd job.
-
As you say Dave the POD is long overdue for a refurb if thats possible or knocked down completely and rebuilt to be fit for purpose in 2026, and not stuck in the 1960's as it is now. For me the ideal solution is a new purpose built stadium, fully enclosed, no open ends, like Almondvale only better, stadium parking, good transport links etc etc. It all depends how the current board see the club developing .

Very few teams score against us these days, especially at fortress Fir park, we are the clean sheet kings 💪
-
I hope he gets the chance to see if he can cut it at premiership level.
-
Yes money talks and bigger clubs can offer a lot more than us, but thats only part of the deal, as we all know the atmosphere at either of the ugly sisters is toxic, especially Celtic, so i agree i dont think JBA would move to parkhead. We all know he will move on eventually, but for me it will be to a club that aligns with his values or he gets a chance at a really big club, a category that neither of the ugly sisters are in. He is obviously very happy with all aspects at Motherwell both on and off the pitch, so he may see us as a longer term project, for domestic and European sucess, a Scottish Bodo Glimpt, so lets just continue to enjoy this season and see where we end up
-
We have 11 games to play, 33 points all of them massive games, win them all and who knows where we will end up. We have missed two big opportunities for sucess so far this season, so lets hope we can be the best we can be in the run in and maybe it will be 3rd time lucky for the biggest prize of all, coyw.
-
That all depends how it works out after the schedule has been manipulated to ensure the ugly sisters get a 19/19 split as usual, unfair is not a concept the SPFL recognise
-
So you be happy with a season of eye bleeding shit fest football, in a relegation dogfight, with below average players and coaching staff, to get 3 or 4 good draws against some diddy teams and get lucky in a final. Yes we win a trophy but we are still left with the shit football and relegation fights for the 10 or 20 seasons after that till our next lucky season comes round...aye ok then. Improving the club and team etc year on year is the way forward then we have more chances to win trophies and as a bonus we dont have to watch the shite we have been used to in recent seasons.
-
Some additional info on how unreal this season is for Motherwell, of the 158 clubs in Scotlands 4 divisions, and Englands 5 divisions (national league included) only 1 club has conceded fewer goals than us Inverness CT with 16, coyw 💪
-
Roma are top of that list with 16 conceded, claret and amber power.
-
Option B every time, lucky teams win cups, good sides playing good football, not losing many games or goals win leagues. Any team meeting those criteria every season will have more long term sucess than a team who got to a cup final by drawing lower rated teams all the way to a final, and get lucky.

Looking for. The SFA to do something is a waste of time, they will do feck all in case they upset the ugly sisters. Play acting, diving, cheating, simulation call it what you like has been going on for as long as football has been played, and it wont stop , if a player thinks he can take a dive, or manipulate a situation to win a penalty, get an opponent sent off etc they will do it. Motherwell can be all sanctimonious about it, make a stand by pulling Slattery up for it, go on about the integrity of the game etc, but the rest of the clubs will say nothing and behind the scenes piss themselves laughing. Its the authorities that need to deal with it, VAR could easily have overturned that red card on Saturday but they chose not to, the same way they ignore loads of othe blatantly wrong calls. So if the SFA / SPFL etc do nothing why should the clubs bother. As ie said before many times the governance of the game in Scotland is not fit for purpose, particularly re VAR and referreeing standards and until it is sorted nothing will change.
-
Becsuse it was the first one i saw that i felt the need to respond to, not because it was your comment, as i said before Slattery is more interesting than you, so wind your neck in.
-
Wind your neck in, nobody is calling you out, Slattery is more interesting
-
Ah KVV the alleged wife beater i was wondering the other day where he had ended up. Brilliant business from us offloading him for a profit before he became toxic.
-
I cant underdstand all this faux outrage at Slattery last night, if the match officials / Var team had been in any way competent the Red card would have been overturned and Slattery booked for simulation, diving, cheating etc but as the officials are all useless fuds he wasnt, so why blame the player, if it had happend at 0-0 to say win us a penalty and the game would we care, no chance we would. The officials had two major decisions to make last night and they made a James Hunt of both of them, Gogic was a red all day long and Kingstons wasnt even a yellow never mind a red.
-
🤦♂️ oh dear oh dear another straight red for that effort

Its 5 now yaaaaas
