  1. Carlisle are now National League so I don't think they would be too difficult to deal with, I hope we would at least make an enquiry.
  2. We had 80% possession 2nd half according to MW, the killie keeper had at least 3 great saves , they were offering feck all with 10 men behind the ball all the time. We played some great football and eventually scored 3 great goals and got what our play deserved.. A clean sheet, 3 great goals, a pumping and some payback for killie and McInnes for their tactics, so all in all I would say it was a great performance.
  3. After tonights performance I'd be offering Armstrong a contract, Big strong target man, puts himself about etc and has scored a few goals exactly what we have missed all season, him up top with Stamatelopoulos might be a good pairing.
  4. Slattery for me he was excellent, great finish for his goal, special mention for Armstrong.
  5. Totally agree with more stability at the club both on and off the field, we should be building a team to last instead of replacing a majority of players every year. The problem with youth is that from an academy of say 15 to 20 players you will be lucky if you get 1 or 2 that make the grade to become 1st team players. If they are good enough they will get their chance but we will always need experienced players to form the bulk of the team, this approach is pretty much he same for every team in the league
  6. Aye it's the usual out of work failed Scottish managers tombola, when ever a job comes available.
  7. In all honesty where do you see a club of our size in terms of fanbase and financial means progressing to as a club? The ugly sisters, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and probably Dundee untd are all much bigger clubs than us by those terms, so finishing 6th or 7th may be our level. For me staying in the premiership by aiming for a top 6 finish and a possible shot at a Euro place, and a few decent cup runs would make for a decent season, anything above that is a bonus.
  8. The time for MW to take a team forward, is when its got a majority of his own choice players in it, those comfortable with the style he wants to play etc. Seeing out the season with what he inherited to avoid relegation and the playoffs was the main target, that he has achieved so next it's the rebuild, then we move forward.
  9. I think we all need to wait a few weeks till all of the loan players and non renewed contracts are gone and then see who MW brings in to rebuild the squad alongside the players we know are staying for next season. All the pant wetting over SOD, McGinn, Paton, etc, getting extended deals when we don't know if they will even be regular starters next season depending on who MW brings in. So let's all wait till we see what sort of squad we have come August before we start the, relegation talk in September.
  10. Get a grip ffs, how is getting beat by a team as equally shite as us this season embarrassing? Very poor, disappointing, etc etc but embarrassing i don't think so
  11. Be honest Dave you googled that didn't you, I can't picture you hands in the air giving it large at ministry of sound in Ibiza, to the SHM tunes 😂
  12. Ah the memories, " Joe Wark knew my Father" Hotel Katowice Ballroom September 91, our first ever European Adventure.
  13. That was my take on it as well Dave, maybe a bit harsh but the correct decision. The more important thing to be debating is how on earth Casey never scored right at the death 6yds out and an open goal, that was a shocker.
  14. Tony Watt or Zak Robinson i know who I'd rather have in the team and it's not Robinson.
  15. 🤦‍♂️ end of season, nothing to play for vibe with that effort.
  16. Aye that's my view as well, McGregor for player of the year and Engels for the young players,. Rangers only got Igamane nominated to keep them sweet no chance he'll win though.
  17. Correct, 7th should be the target, to get the maximum prize money we can get.
  18. Great news, Hopefully that adds a few zeros to his transfer fee over the summer.
  19. I see Lukas Jutkewicz has announced his retirement at the end of the season https://x.com/MotherwellFC/status/1916900216411693119?t=N2Hnzk0YImoDyyT1jZ1T-Q&s=19 15 years since the 6-6 game, his goal is up there with some of the greatest goals i have seen for Motherwell, what a night that was.
  20. So do I, we've had enough injuries and unavailable players this season to last a lifetime.
  21. Time will tell if he's part of MW's plans come the summer rebuild.
  22. You think then that Falkirk have the players and resources to stay in the premiership? For me if they get promoted they will be big favourites to go straight back down it's a big step up in quality from the championship.
  23. Nothing more than ever since his new baby arrived he's been permanently injured and unavailable, very little mention of him from Fir Park, so just an opinion.
  24. Koutroumbis for me he was excellent the whole game, special mentions for Watt and Slattery.
  25. 100% this, he gives me the fear big time, how he is still getting picked ahead of Oxborough is crazy.
