Good for you, your support for your number 1 big team is commendable.
-
Very true the blue uglies save their rioting, bad behaviour and wanton vandalism for the major cities they visit on their Euro adventures over the years Manchester, Maribor, pamplona, Barcelona etc etc.
-
Agreed, its the experienced striker we wanted, hopefully he can hit the ground running and give us the goal threat we are currently lacking.
-
Confirmed on the club x feed
-
Surely that's not 2 big teams he has now 🤔
-
Back then Tynecastle had no shelter for away fans unless you paid for the main stand , the Gorgie rd terracing was uncovered.
-
I agree, but in cup games all that matters is the result and getting into the QF draw, so job done today.
-
Yes it matters, the ideal scenario is we take a player on loan develop and make him better, so we benefit and the parent club benefits as well, all win win so far. The problem is bringing in, a player from teams in your own league to develop and improve yes we benefit short term but if it has went to plan the player returns to the parent club a better player to one day turn up against us in the league or cup. Making the rival teams in your league stronger in whatever form that takes is never a good plan.

Again not true, the standard of football back then was dreadful at times. You only need to watch some of the classic games, being played on ploughed fields, players who were slower than a week in the jail, nowhere near the fitness levels of modern day players. We all think everything was better back in the day when in reality it wasn't. So combine the crap football with the crap facilities, standing for 90 min in the rain at Tynecastle for example watching a rotten game aye we all had a great time. The everything was better back in the day is just sentimental BS as we did not know any better at the time.
-
No they were not, most football Grounds back then were complete shiteholes, unsafe, no facilities, terraces crumbling around you, streams of pish everywhere, aye the good old days.
-
Its a pity he did not remember he could do that when he was clean through one on one against Stefan Klos in Dortmund in the UEFA cup..
-
If we sign another striker and a centre half with proven league experience before the transfer window closes then yes maybe he does deserve some credit, so let's wait and see.
-
For someone labelled as a shite keeper, Stevie woods has had a decent post playing career as goalkeeping coach at Celtic. So maybe hes not as bad as we remember.
-
Let him go his own way, hes a man of the world who's having a tough season so far
-
For me there is only one dream team, in my time supporting Motherwell Maxwell, Nijholt, Boyd, Griffin, Paterson, McCart, Arnott, Angus, Ferguson, O'Donnell and Cooper. With the super sub himself Stevie Kirk on the bench. I give you the 91 cup final team.

We did indeed spend the money elsewhere last season Dave, on Stamatelopoulos and for me we are still waiting for a return on the investment. Given our current striking options Hale would definitely be an upgrade, granted not a huge one but an upgrade none the less.
-
You wont know if you dont ask, you could put any price you like on a player but its irrelevant if nobody is interested. I suspect as others have mentioned if he leaves the fee will be undisclosed ie nowhere near 7 figures.
-
We need a regular starting striker with proven league experience, for the league campaign not a project, I am sure we can do better.
-
21 years old, Forward has only made 8 senior appearances since 2023 and has never scored a goal, hardly inspiring stats. For me if think we need someone with a bit more experience if the rumours are true.

Can any of the Mods arrange a Bosman transfer for grizzlyg to Pie and Bovril please 🙏
-
Its 11 goals from 8 games, (4 LC and 2 League, 2 friendlies ) and conceded 5 so currently we are plus 6 GD. The reality is though we should have scored a lot more goals based on the chances we've created so currently we are toothless up front, if you are not scoring goals you wont win many matches.
-
New training facilities were mentioned as by all accounts Dalziel park is not fit for purpose, the POD is long overdue an upgrade, and Mrs Baillies needs some cover added. So I dont doubt the board has a long list of things the money could be used for, but I'm sure JBA will see a good percentage of it for player recruitment.

I said earlier on the Miller transfer that i hope the club is not getting greedy, any player is only worth whatever clubs are willing to pay? Let's be honest Miller cost us next to nothing so any decent 7 figure offer and we are making a fantastic profit. All the earlier talk of £10 million was fantasy, that said I'd be delighted to be proved wrong. For me if any club was offering say £3 million and Miller wanted to go I'd bite their hand off ( ugly sisters excepted) The clubs interested in him know they can wait and get him for feck all next summer so I hope the new club board realises this.
-
I'm getting a bit bored with the whole saga now, we know Miller is going, so I'm more interested in who we have lined up to come in, we are 2 games into the season, the transfer window clock is ticking so it needs sorted ASAP.
-
Nah he will be gone this week and hopefully we can get a few new faces in before Saturday. That's been the standard response for a few weeks now and like MJC's predictions all of them wrong. So i agree it should be our strongest team in every game we play and if Miller is still a Motherwell player, he should play.
