  1. Which Man city boys, Haaland and Rodri would do nicely?
  2. Had to be TJ for that 3rd goal alone, special mentions for Just and Longelo
  3. We were never in any danger tonight, controlled and dominated the game from the start, we had a 10 min spell 2nd half when we sat back a bit and let Morton come on to us, but in reality they never looked like scoring. Good to see AP scoring hopefully that will boost his confidence, and what about the 3rd goal, that's a contender for goal of the season, worth the ticket money just to see it. Hopefully the results in the other groups go our way and we can be seeded in the last 16.
  4. Why is only being 5'8" a problem its the footballing ability that counts, I guess, messi, Maradona, Gerd Muller, and many more smaller players that have been great players, would never make your team.
  5. Correct Dave, but looking at the tables there are 4 groups C,D, F and H where potentially the runners up can be better than us both points and goal difference. So we need 3 points on Tuesday to finish as group winners and be assured of progression and seeding in the last 16.
  6. A draw and a bonus point win would give us 10 points, Morton would have 7, with a game to play so they could get 10 points with a better GD than us and top the group. For us to finish on 10 may not be enough to get one of the 3 runner up spots and if we did we would not be seeded. So for ease of progress this is a must win game for us, 3 points, group winners and seeded in the last 16.
  7. I see MJC has been recruiting for the doom and gloom club, honestly ive never heard so much negativity 5 games into a season ffs,
  8. We've had Alexander, Robinson, Hammell and Kettlewell and everyone of them got dogs abuse for the style of football they had us playing. Now we get a new manager in with new ideas, new style etc and we still have people moaning about it after 4 games and a lot of new players ffs. People need to get a grip and judge the team and how we are playing not now but later in the season, give the manager and his players time to implement his new style etc. Or they can always go to Killie or St Mirren if they are missing the kick and chase tactics.
  9. Surprisingly calm to be honest, still the same issues to get people upset, our defence and lack of goal threat.
  10. He was feckin brutal in his time at Fir park, I'm surprised hes still making a living from football.
  11. Feeding the Troll is never a good plan.
  12. Ar last a positive " we are going to win " post, we'll said, 100% agreed
  13. I have to say that in all the time AP has been at Fir park, albeit limited by injury I have seen nothing to convince me there's a player in their. Maybe if he get a regular run in the team that impression will change, but until then he is contributing nothing tbh.
  14. One size larger is that because macron are using metric measurements or is your converter not working
  15. Not that the timescale matters, but just so you can sleep soundly tonight here is a quote from the article " Lennon Miller's father expects a bid for the Motherwell midfielder to come "if not this week, maybe next week". So as imminent means its about to happen, does it matter if that's this week or next week, sleep tight.
  16. The Daily Rancid, reporting that a bid for Miller is imminent, according to his Dad Miller bid expected within weeks, says father - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cn7d85j76dko
  17. Re McGhee, just heard that his Grandad passed away yesterday so that's probably why he was not in the squad.
  18. Let's hope they are doing the same thing next May with a beach ball, means we're off on a European tour.
  19. I agree its one of my pet hates, keepers thinking they are midfielders, Liam Kelly was guilty of that quite often when he was at Fir park, it's simple to resolve JBA just tells Oxborough and Ward dont do it, unless they are actually trying to clear the ball.
  20. Agreed, that was Alex Fergusons approach in every team he built, a solid spine in the team as you mentioned with the keeper and CH the priority. Craig Brown done it when he took over, made us difficult to beat and built a decent team that took us to Europe.
  21. That will only kick in if we get beat 😁
  22. Agreed a solid centre back and a keeper that will command his area, come for cross balls etc takes a whole lot of pressure away from the rest of the defence.
