We need a regular starting striker with proven league experience, for the league campaign not a project, I am sure we can do better.

21 years old, Forward has only made 8 senior appearances since 2023 and has never scored a goal, hardly inspiring stats. For me if think we need someone with a bit more experience if the rumours are true.

Its 11 goals from 8 games, (4 LC and 2 League, 2 friendlies ) and conceded 5 so currently we are plus 6 GD. The reality is though we should have scored a lot more goals based on the chances we've created so currently we are toothless up front, if you are not scoring goals you wont win many matches.

New training facilities were mentioned as by all accounts Dalziel park is not fit for purpose, the POD is long overdue an upgrade, and Mrs Baillies needs some cover added. So I dont doubt the board has a long list of things the money could be used for, but I'm sure JBA will see a good percentage of it for player recruitment.

I said earlier on the Miller transfer that i hope the club is not getting greedy, any player is only worth whatever clubs are willing to pay? Let's be honest Miller cost us next to nothing so any decent 7 figure offer and we are making a fantastic profit. All the earlier talk of £10 million was fantasy, that said I'd be delighted to be proved wrong. For me if any club was offering say £3 million and Miller wanted to go I'd bite their hand off ( ugly sisters excepted) The clubs interested in him know they can wait and get him for feck all next summer so I hope the new club board realises this.

That's a very big assumption, who knows how much of the Miller money JBA will get for new signings? Unless hes had guarantees when he took the job. But as I said earlier I think he has targets in mind so there will be a flurry of activity when its no longer Miller time at Fir park.

The main thing about Boyd that upsets Motherwell fans is that when he talks about his career it started when he signed for Celtic, the Fir park years and the 91 Cup final have been erased from his memory and its got worse over the years. As has been stated previously hes an obnoxious tosser.

I suspect Cardiff were the only team that were interested in signing him, given that Celtic lost about £1 million on him, paid us £3 million and Sold to Cardiff for an undisclosed fee reported as £2 million. Maybe hes just not as good as we all thought he would be.

Rangers did this last season as well, great results in Europe and bang average at best domestically, the same will happen this year.

I only saw the 2nd half and Shankland hardly touched the ball, he was anonymous, for me hes vastly overrated. I agree though both teams looked average at best, nothing to fear from either of them.

We gave ourselves a chance of a top 6 finish last season while playing absolutely shitfest football. So if we can maintain the standard we've set so far, bring in a decent centre forward and a defensive midfielder, a top 6 finish is a very achievable target, for me i reckon it will be 5th or 6th

I know this might sound ridiculous but Ross Callachan is actually on the pitch playing football, on as a sub for Arbroath v Ayr, hes had one touch in 10 mins.

Its not that long ago that the club did not care about the home fans and gave the ugly sisters the South and Cooper stands as well as both wings of the POD any time they were in town, moving many ST holders in the process. The only thing the club can do given that they are bound by league rules etc is to do away with match categories and charge all fans home and away the same price, for all stands apart from the Hunter, I think its currently £26 for the POD. But it will never happen as the financial cost to the club would be prohibitive, 5000 away fans in thd South stand at £8 is £40k, 4 times a year is £160k that could finance 1 or 2 players wage.. Thats also another reason why league reconstruction is so difficult to get agreement on, clubs dont want to lose any of the revenue from games against the ugly sisters.

Let's hope we don't get too greedy, these big clubs will have no problem waiting till next summer and get to sign him for nothing if required.
