Not sure how they work it

They make sure the ugly sisters get 19 home and 19 away games each,  and once those two have agreed the fixtures, the other clubs get what's left, that's the usual approach every season.

    📽️ Enjoy

    some cracking Motherwell kits

and cracking players who wore them

Pitches like ploughed fields, games played at walking pace at times, standing on open terraces in all weathers, no comparison with today's game but we enjoyed it allegedly 😬

As expected, Post split fixtures won't be released until after Wednesday as SPFL "want to confirm final pre split top 6 league placings". They think our heads button up the back.

They are working out how to avoid the next ugly sisters game at Parkhead becoming a title decider Dave. It's only ever all about those two the other forty clubs in Scotland are irrelevant.

That clown Shaw's miss not only cost us another two points but potentially some much needed cash as well .

The two points yes, extra cash no, apart from us winning we also needed Aberdeen to beat Dundee which never happened, so it's 7th place prize money at best this season.

I think we have a win left in us that’ll take us away from 11th place. Pleased for County today, nice wee place to go to, good ground, decent club and nice supporters.

personally I want st johnstone in 11th and see them relegated. Never liked them, can’t stand their “bought for them” ground, rubbish support and a manager that’d get the game stopped.

Agreed, Inverness /Dingwall is a great away trip, ive had a few great weekends up there,  much better than Perth so personally I hope RC stay up.

His drop in form might be down, in part, to the formation SK is fielding. Move Vale up beside Bair and slip Spittal in behind them.

Spot on Dave, Bair was very isolated on his own yesterday, we need two up front I'd have Davor, Spittal and Miller in behind them  with Gent and SOD as the two wingback as required.

Going to make things tighter for 11th

Nah, 5 games left and we're 7 points ahead, effectively 8 pts with the goal difference RC need to win at least 3 maybe 4 of the last 5 to catch us, its not going to happen.

The players on their way out should be dropped and the young boys given a chance. Yesterday was pathetic.

Do you have an application form in for the Trolls doom and misery club alongside Yodo, MJC and Steelboy, why was yesterday pathetic, we never lost and had a great chance to win with the last kick of the ball? A draw was probably the fair result as Hibs played ok as well.

Since December we've been good, playing better picking up results, ending our Rangers hoodoo, to be even in the position of still be able to make the top 6 speaks volumes on how well SK has turned it round  from us being 2nd bottom.. so why not give the team some credit for a change, you might enjoy the experience.

I think fan ownership gives us stability.

Unfortunately what it does not give is the main  problem for the club, ie a sufficiently large revenue stream to negate the need to seek outside investment.

I’d argue that any investor who doesn’t invest in his target customers will lose them and his investment.

Investors in football clubs are not selling a product to the masses, they don't have target customers, they are looking to invest money make the club better on and off the field, then withdraw some of the profit etc.

Folk might see this as wasted cash but I think the indirect return to the club is probably more than what the WS pays to the CT.

Would any potential investor be happy to see some of the cash they would be putting into the club used to finance projects / initiatives etc not connected with the club etc from which they would see no return? I think not they want a financial return, not a story in the Motherwell Times saying what nice people they are.

The WS are also investors, the members are commiting lots of cash each year without the expectation of a financial return, but to hopefully benefit the football club to make it better ie governance, infrastructure, players, results etc. They don't put up their cash to fund community projects etc.

  12.  , I'm not a WS member and never will be if it remains  in it current format. It sole purpose when formed was to ask the fans to contribute cash on a regular basis to provide an overdraft facility For the club.

Proper fan ownership would have seen the fans given the opportunity to buy actual shares in the club to raise cash they would then have a genuine say in how the club was run.

No doubt changes in the governance of the club will be forthcoming if the outside investment is finalised so there will be an opportunity to change the WS as well for the benefit of everyone, it might even persuade me to join if I wad becoming an actual shareholder and not just a source of funds.

It looks to be about £9.2m all in if correct.

    Still a hefty sum.

Given United are also reported to be wracking up losses and are reportedly around £10m in debt to their "investor" I think folks need to re-assess why they think "fan ownership" is failing........

Fan ownership does work if the fanbase is big enough ie Hearts, have a look on their website site  at the amount they have raised so far over £16 million ffs.

Unfortunately given our support base we will never get remotely near that sort of cash, I also get the impression that it's on a much more professional basis than the WS, but that's something the WS can improve and get right.

Ok. Can you quote the bit where anyone says anything about selling them majority shareholding, or is that just your personal take on what he meant?

Engaging in a debate with steelboy is like talking to Grandpa Simpson 2 posts in and its all meaningless drivel, you need to stop feeding the Trolls.

After todays result no doubt the Govan mob will be fired up to get 3 points to prove a point which works in our favour

Potentially a great afternoon next Saturday , or a disappointing one .  Quite happy for the time being to watch the Dundee highlights again later tonight , then see what happens

It's not in our own hands, all we can do is beat Hibs and hope other results go our way, but given where we were a few months ago it's a great turnaround that we have given ourselves a chance of the top 6.

Game is on but is the pitch playable?

You would like to think it is playable Dave but if it failed an inspection 2 hrs ago I have my doubts. Surely both clubs need to be in agreement with the the officials decision, but then again its the SFA / SPFL we are dealing with.

A nothing statement on nothing confirmed.

Its arguable McMahon is determined to make it look like his wee video worked wonders rather than putting the club first.

Until we have firm details and know exactly what the club is putting up in return for the investment it's all speculative nonsense.

I thought the video was amateurish and cringeworthy but if it does bring in extra investment under terms the club and WS members can work with then you can't argue with it, so time will tell.

Still destroys the integrity of the league format. Look at the English Championship this season. Ipswich, Leeds and Leicester fighting for the top spot with 87, 86 and 85 points respectively. If there are 3 promotion spots they deserve one each for their consistent form. Norwich, who are 6th and 21 points behind Leicester (and won only 19 games compared to Leicester's 27 wins) shouldn't even be in that conversation.

Playoffs are a horrible American idea that should have stayed this side of the Atlantic.

Not true, the league integrity is fine, the teams know how many automatic promotion spots there are when they start so they all strive for the top two places, and if say a team misses out by 1 point or goal difference etc then tough they've not been good enough over the league season. But now with the playoffs they have another chance to get promoted as do the other 3 teams in the playoff spots who have all had decent seasons to earn those spots.

The best teams over the season usually get promoted either route 1, automatic or route 2 a playoff final win, just as the worst teams get relegated,so for me the English system works well.
