Launch that fucking VAR. as I’ve said repeatedly they’re now moving to actively seeking ways to “disallow” goals. Its killing the game and I bet I’m not the only person that’s nearly had enough.

100% agree, I've just watched the sportscene coverage and both Var decisions were a feckin disgrace, and cost us the chance of at least a point yesterday.  We all have a laugh at the ugly sisters when the moan about bad var calls, but all the clubs should be doing the same and calling g this nonsense out as its verging on incompetence now by the alleged officials who get away with shite like we saw yesterday with no fear of censure.

We should ask for the audio between Collum and VAR bet it would make an interesting listen.

NOT a chance of it being released

The whole set up is not fit for purpose, bargin basement technology operated by officials of questionable ability and overseen by a culture of secrecy and no liability or acknowledgement of errors.

The clubs have the power to get changes made and make the process more transparent and accountable but I won't be holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

Completely disagree re Ebiye. Irrespective of the mistakes Kettlewell made today think he knows better than us if someone is fit enough to be brought on.

No professional football manager is going to take up a subs place on the bench with a player who is not fit to play as you never know how the game will go and what cover might be needed.

So SK knew Ebiye was fit to play, hence his inclusion in the squad, but bringing on two academy players, both of whom are nowhere near ready for the 1st team  instead of him when we were chasing the game was an error.

There have been one or two but many more have commented that he's nowhere near ready. We saw a few cameos of him early in the season and quite a few thought that he wasn't ready. At that time he looked to be way out of his depth.

He then went out on loan to a lower league club at Stenhousemuir but failed to make any impression and hardly got any game time. He then returned.

Now I don't understand why Moses wasn't given any time today like 15 or 20 minutes. Although he hasn't played for some weeks, he's played more than Mark Ferrie. I'm all for giving young lads gametime but it has to be in the right situation. Today only served to prove that young Ferrie should be nowhere near the first team squad for his own good. He needs time in the gym and a loan spell at a lower league club where he can get playing time. I don't know about Dylan Wells. One of a number of odd decisions from SK today.

Well said Dave, brining on two very inexperienced Academy players when we were chasing the game was a nonsense, both of them hardly touched the ball and as you say neither of them are ready for 1st team football.

If he was on the bench Ebiye must be fit enough for 20 or 30 mins, so I can't understand why he was not brought on to add something different up front.

In all not a good day re tactics, team formation, or team selection for SK and we let a poor Aberdeen side off the hook.

Var didn't lose us that game today. It didn't help but neither did players who are slow of thought and movement , can't pass a ball to a teammate, can't tackle properly  , not to mention a poor team selection and tactics and substitutions. We could still be playing and still won't have scored a goal.

Actually VAR cost us at least a point, not 1 Aberdeen player complained about a hand Ball, neither did that prick Collum he signalled goal.

Then var got involved, if the check takes nearly 3 mins, 100 different freeze frame and slow mo replays, how is that a clear and obvious error ffs. Its a feckin shambles looking for reasons to disallow the goal, that's not what it was introduced for.

It's ruining the game but the SFA don't have the balls to either improve it's use as has been seen elsewhere or just bin it altogether.

I have a nagging memory of Aberdeen coming to Fir Park on a terrible run and then beating us 5-6.

I hope we avoid any complacency and give them a sair skelping.

For some reason (probably their sense of entitlement) their fans annoy me almost as much as those of The Cheeks.

Aye they did think that was during the Billy Davies era, as for a sair Skelping as nice as that would be, I'll settle for any sort of win and 3 pts.

If Aberdeen and Ross County win tonight Motherwell go two points off the top 6 with 4 games to go playing both Dundee and Hibs in the 4 games

The other way of thinking if Aberdeen and Ross County were to win Motherwell are closer to a relegation play off position

A point each for Dundee and Aberdeen and 3 points for Ross County would be my preferred results tonight.

I’m thinking that possibly by raising money this way it allows the society to have to give less to the trust therefore it’s indirectly beneficial for the society’s bank balance without being seen to be shaking the bucket for themselves.

The WS are the majority shareholder at the club ffs organising bucket collections to raise funds is not good optics. As a one off for a specific purpose yes but any more than that and it's begging bowl territory. Unless the WS suddenly gets a few thousand more contributing members, they are probably at the limit of how much cash they can raise, a very limited fan base results in a very limited cash flow.

dont disagree with you, but ones mans shite is an other mans gold.     davidson dumped bair then got dumped himself,  kettlewell took a HUGE PUNT, and bair in a way has helped save his job :)

Players suddenly don't develop talent and improve just by moving clubs it's always there so maybe Davidson could not see it and utilise the player to get the best from him as well as SK has.

    re KVV.

I've never understood why was he so desperate to go back to Holland. Given his partner lives  here and was having their child, it's rather odd.  Feels like ego.

Quite simple really cashing in on a once in a lifetime season I assume for a large signing on fee and vastly increased wages,  doing the same as Higdon did, who can blame him.

Not one of ours, but it affects our next game - Warnock's stepped down.

A stupid appointment in the 1st place, he's left them in a worse position league wise than when he took over, the Cormack and Burrows dream team are doing well.

The best policy with regard to the ugly sisters and their followers  is to completely ignore anything they say or do, especially on social media.

I assume all of you making the biblical jokes don't know that Moses led the Israelites aimlessly round the desert for 40 years and then died when the promised land was within eyesight. :whistling:

38 years in the top flight, So we have another 2 or 3 seasons in the premiership then we'll be within 3 mins of injury time to win the title and make the champions league before we fail. 🤔

Could people not just welcome the player to the club?

You do realise that the comment was very tounge in cheek and a bit of sarcastic banter, as a bit of a change from all the dubious biblical themed attempts at humour. Or should hello moses welcome to the promised land of Fir park be the standard greeting?

  15. VAR, especially the bargin basement version we have in Scotland is a shambles, and combined with the very poor standard of refereeing we have its not fit for purpose.

Plus it's the fact that the ugly sisters are not getting it all their own way re decisions thats really annoying them. But as we all know the SFA / SPFL will do feck all about it so we are stuck with it ruining the game as if we don't have enough issues in Scottish football.

Although I've seen some right cringeworthy stuff from Hearts fans in the lead up to that game, posting stuff like "Don't worry Rangers, we have you covered tomorrow"

Talk about bending the knee to their big club? Jesus. I'm glad we tend to have more fans that are happy to see both cheeks get done

Hearts / Hibs is the same sad sectarian shite we get in the West but on a much smaller scale the bigotry and bile is still there.

Rangers. fans portray themselves as the sons of William, the Gorgie hoardes are the cousins of William. The Edinburgh backside is not as big as the Glasgow one but two cheeks just the same.

Why not just enjoy our first league win against Rangers in over twenty years? That’s three posts you’ve made since FT and every one about me. Come on man, there’s more important things to talk about tonight surely?

I know I usually ignore your posts but in this case you have a point, lets enjoy the win but some folk just can't help themselves.

  18. It's finally happened a league win against that mob after 20 odd years of disappointment what a feckin result that was. I'm off to a Burns supper surrounded by blue uglies tonight so it will be a joy to see their greetin faces.

Gutted I never went now 😁 coyw

If they can afford it. This is the issue for me. I can afford to give to the well society but probably wouldn't be able to afford shares. That's just me though and my own financial situation

It all depends what price the shares would be offered at plus buying the shares would be a one off payment and not the ongoing commitment month on month to the WS so it's potentially cheaper.

  20. 54 minutes ago, Kmcalpin said:

Just an idea  but what if the club was to issue new shares to private investors, including fans. That way the club could ensure that the Society retained overall control. In addition  the Society could implement its proposal. A win win scenario.

For me that's a great idea Dave, a straightforward share issue, set a price and then people can buy the amount they want, they then have the chance to have a direct input at AGM's etc without going g through a 3rd party like the WS.

For me with the limitations of our fan base asking existing contributors which from the recent numbers posted on this forum only account for about 50% of the WS members to up their monthly payments significantly is not and never will  be a viable option.

I have no interest in committing to a regular contribution to the WS but I would quite happily buy shares in the club if given the chance.

    Yep. Add the plastic pitches.

There is no place for plastic pitches in top flight football, especially the cheap and nasty kind that Livingston and Kilmarnock have both of which are a disgrace. Action is needed by the SFA / SPFL there are criteria in place for the standard of stadiums etc for premiership teams so why can't they cover the playing surface as well.

am glad i only saw the first half spider, its a lot better when wellfan just shows me the goals :) which i must say were 3 beuties,   oh and i think SOD was involved in the lead up to them all, unless am blind , then he wasnt :)

The cross in from SOD for Nicholsons goal was a belter, and the cross in 1st half was asking to be headed home and Mugabi fecked it up, all in a great performance from SOD tonight
