  1. To get 1 maybe 2 players from the Academy team breaking through into the 1st team is a great result. In recent years we have had Campbell, Turnbull, Hastie,,Scott, mcGuire, Cornelius, mcIver all step up and play for the 1st team, add to that mcAleer and McKinstry and we have done exceptionally well in developing our own talent. But you can't expect that level of success season after season, so its Inevitable there will be lean years. But Motherwell has a very good reputation for finding and developing players so I am sure this will continue going forward.
  2. It's standard practice at Motherwell every time we need a new manager, the 1st thing that happens is the automatic email sent to Valakari, Nijholt, etc to see if they are interested in the job.
  3. Until Carson is fit then Morrison should be playing , that's the only way we will know if he is premiership level, plus we have no other options as that clown Chapman should never play again after that embarassing horror show yesterday.
  4. What happened to the null vote "the whole team is brutal" option?
  5. Is anybody surprised Lasley was part of the SR decision making so did anybody really believe there would be a radical change of attitude / tactics today. We may still win the game but I don't think Lasley should be considered for the job long term, we need a fresh approach and somebody new to get rid of the shite in the team, with a few new faces in this transfer window.
  6. Ross County winning, so we are bottom of the league on our own now
  7. Totally agree Dave, Lasley was part of the decisions taken by SR re tactics, which player is best in which position etc, so are we to think that in 4 games he is going to radically change tactics and our approach to games, I am with you a new approach is required not a re-boot of the old. That said he has probably earned his chance so fair play to him, who knows it might work out.
  8. Tommy Wright took St J from mid table mind numbingly boring bang average mediocrity and left them in the same place ffs getting him in would be a big step backwards .
  9. Valverde would be good, then we would see how good a manager he is by turning the dross we currently have into a decent team, its easy to manage the likes of Messi, but could he do anything with Lamie?
  10. I am assuming Lasley will be taking charge till we appoint a new manager, I wonder how many of the usual out of work suspects are still available.
  11. I know we are in lockdown, but that's no normal behaviour
  12. He did, was on loan with us in 2010, came on as a sub in the 6-6 game as I recall, was never very good.
  13. For me if Carroll is fit enough for the bench he should be starting, that will get him game time
  14. Oxford United was mentioned in the article as well, they seem to be keen to have him back, a bidding war with Hibs then.
  15. Some chat online suggesting that Hibs are allegedly considering a move for Chris Cadden in January,, if they can persuade Columbus crew to sell him.
  16. You not fed up fishing with the same bait and catching nothing, the Rangers game and now this one
  17. Would have thought if Carroll was fit enough to be in the squad he should start, even getting 45 only, and I would have Hastie playing before Crawford.
  18. Suspending the points awards for us and Hamilton only highlights what an absolute shambles the SPFL and SFA are currently the whole system of how football in Scotland is administered is not fit for purpose. St Mirren and Killie blatantly broke the rules and as a result were unable to fulfill their fixtures, so its a no brainer. Feck knows what grounds they are appealing on, but the SPFL are just making Scottish football a laughing stock, it's a disgrace . Can you imagine the national uproar if either of the ugly sisters had been awarded the points and then have them taken away, Doncaster and his whole team should be told to clear their desks and GTF.
  19. A win would be great, to end the year in 5th place and hopefully further away from the relegation places so I am going to go for 2-0 to the good guys and extend our unbeaten run to 2
  20. Any game we do not lose is a good result for me, guess I'm just a happy clapping, glass half full type, life's too short to be negative all the time
  21. So no defeat as predicted by many, a point gained on most of the teams below us, a clean sheet for a change, not a bad night then, onwards and upwards.
  22. Sadly that's the way Scottish football is these days, think its been over 34 years since a team outwith the ugly sisters won the league. Celtic have been the best for the last 9 years especially the last 4, now its Rangers turn, the most the rest of us can hope for is 3rd place, Europe or a cup win.
  23. Good content searching, but What has me having a senior moment got to do with your sad petty attitude, I like to see any player who played for us to do well especially a home grown and developed one like DT no matter who he is playing with. As for your opinions hoping he would not win his first major medal implies "I hope celtic get beat and I will be happy" attitude worthy of the blue ugly hordes themselves, so have a look at yourself .
  24. Typical soon as I hit submit, Hearts scored
