So would I and get to a final where we are not playing either of the ugly sisters, 4 finals since we won in 91 and The blue or green uglies in every one of them. That's the luck StJ and all the others have had.

Lucky teams win cups, consistently good teams qualify for Europe, some of my best and most memorable games as a well fan have been on our Euro adventures, Nancy and Dortmund in the UEFA Cup, Athens in the champions league, for example, so here's hoping we are planning another trip next summer.

You can't take any game lightly in the premiership but if we show the same commitment and work rate as the last two games I think we will win, another 2-0 win .

Disappointing attitude a healthy debate needs every viewpoint positive and negative that's the nature of an online forum and classing posters as wankers purely on the basis of they don't happen to agree with something posted is out of order, try engaging in the discussions you might just enjoy it.

In the modern game 4 years is a lifetime , successful teams might keep a squad together for a few seasons but for the rest of us it's significant change every season, all thanks to an obscure Belgian midfielder that nobody had heard of.
-
Was not having a go at you just commentting on how much we dominated the game
-
They had no decent chances the whole game Kelly never had a serious save to make, we dominated them from the 1st whistle, 2-0 flattered them big time it should have been 5.
-
Only one contender for me, mugabi was awesome today rock solid for 90 mins he's getting better every week.
-
Calum Lang scoring the winner for Wigan last night in their FA Cup replay.

Hearts are playing well with a great start to the season so far but they are nothing special so we are well capable of beating them if we keep it tight at the back with no repeat of the daft mistakes we made in the last game. It will be a close game but I reckon we will win it.
-
If you score more goals than your opponents and stop them scoring you deserve to win the game
-
I see Ojala is in the Finnish squad again, he can't be too badly injured then.
-
Whatever, but when you need a striker and ignore the joint top scorer in the Scottish premiership to bring in an unknown English player from the championship, its not a good look.
-
I also see that fud Clarke has ignored Tony Watt again to bring in some random pseudo Scotsman that nobody has heard of from Stoke.
-
Went for mugabi a great goal and despite the carnage around him, some great defending.

On Sunday we played a Rangers team that has lost only 1 league game in their last 50 games ffs the game was over at half time. If they had got bored and eased back and it stayed at 2-1 we might have sneaked an equaliser, but they went for it and ripped us a new one, 6 goals in 50 mins we lost. In the nearly 19 years since we last beat them in the league we have been close a few times but Sunday was not one of those days. You can analyse our tactics all you want but in the end we need to hold up our hands and say we were beaten by a far superior team on the day. The ugly sisters don't usually lose many games in all competitions and every other team in the league will have records just as bad as ours against them, ours will be the worst as we have been a premiership team for the last 30 odd years so we've faced them more. Any points we take from them are a bonus its on how we play against the other 10 teams that we will be judged and determine how successful a season we have, thats why the St Mirren game was a big blow 2 points dropped, that would have seen us clear in 5th irrespective of how we did against Rangers.

Sensible posts like this have no place on this forum

stop talking shite, re GA for 42 mins today we were comfortable, lots of Rangers possession but Kelly never had a difficult save to make then we collapse. Rangers are light years ahead of us quality wise so anything you get from those games is a bonus, a draw would have left us clear in 5th so some context is required, in fact if we had held out on Wednesday we would still be 5th on our own despite the shambles today. So after 12 games we are 7th or as I prefer joint 5th with just under 50% of the points on offer, repeat that form for the next 2 sets of 12 games and it a safe top 6 finish with a challenge For a Euro spot. So an absolute shambles today but some context is required, inwards and upwards.
-
That rule only kicks in if we are 1-0 up with 5 mins left.
-
Watch the highlights, that Bawbag madden is staring right at the keeper, who clearly has 2 feet over the line before the ball is hit, no need for input from the lino for that one, pen saved and no retake it's a feckin disgrace.
-
So every time there is a corner in a game and the defenders have handfuls of shirts etc right in front of the referee who does nothing he should be awarding a pen..OK then. Stevie G is on TV just now defending it his words were " there was a shirt pull but whether it was enough for a pen is the refs decision " so even he was not convinced. It must have been a serious shirt pull right enough as it affected Sakala's balance judging by the way he fell down It was a bullshit decision just like ours not the first and won't be the last.
-
Have a look at the "alleged penalty" they got to rescue a point on Wednesday night against Aberdeen you know when Stevie G was on the radio defending it that it was never a pen. There are numerous examples in recent years, of similar incidents, they get more than their fair share.
-
It's an absolute certainty that if we are a goal up late in the game, or Rangers are only 1 up they will get their usual dodgy penalty to ensure their win or rescue a point.
-
There is more chance of Motherwell winning the champions league than getting an apology from the SFA, referee's and other officials are answerable to nobody, they could make a James Hunt of it every week and they would still get games. The SFA refuses to accept any criticism of match officials, so no free speech for any club officials. The whole set up is a shambles the SFA / SPFL is not fit for purpose and needs a radical overhaul, the introduction of VAR would be a start as it would put the referee's under closer scrutiny but I won't be holding my breath waiting for that.

You can't have one without the other, the top players all command large transfer fees with large wage demands to match.
