For me that's the biggest issue with it, I've no problem with what the main colour it is as long as it has some claret and Amber on it to let people know its a Motherwell shirt. Change the yellow looking stripes to wider proper Amber ones, maybe alternate them with claret and you have a nice kit in the club colours, What really surprises me though is i assume the club signed off on this design with no obvious connection to Motherwell other than the dodgy adjusted club crest. It will be interesting to see how many it sells in comparison to previous away kits, as that will be the real judgement on it.

An interesting article on the BBC website regarding the covid loans taken by every premiership club apart from Celtic. It seems we borrowed the 3rd highest amount behind Aberdeen and Rangers, just under £3m, so we are not the debt free club we thought we were. It seems the loans came with very strict conditions and looks like we will be paying them back for the next 20 years . A great result yes but entirely due to very poor finishing from Galatasary and comical goal keeping for the pen, StJ offered very little but you need a bit of luck in Europe so they will take the result.

No logic in it at all mate, in every ground in the country the fans are effectively outdoors , well ventilated etc, so as of the 9th of August as an extreme example you could quite legally have say 6k people in a Park or on a beach enjoying the sunshine or just walking about the shops, but not sitting down at a football match without special permission, the whole thing is a nonsense.

The clubs only need to apply to the relevant local authority to have attendances greater than 5k that's the regs just now and won't change come 9th August. I can't see any reasonable requests being turned down, but the onus is on the clubs to make the request.

For me Ojala will be the 1st pick every week but not sure who GA will see as his partner Mugabi or Lamie, for me I would have mugabi but at the moment it's a tough call .

The odd rash tackle is a good thing for a midfielder, controlled aggression is a better term for it, a few hard but fair tackles early in the game to set the tone, just give him some Scott Brown highlights for him to watch and see how it's done.

Personally I think he could be Dave, he has looked a much better player this season , always puts in a good shift and has a couple of goals so far, his positional play it a bit suspect at times but that's just experience With better players beside him ie Slattery and Donelly and /or any other midfielder we bring in this could be his year to step up.

The whole team played OK but only 1 standout contender for MOTM, KVV he is looking like a very good bit of business he had a great game.

This....For all Hibs possession and play, Kelly has only had 1 real save to make, our defending for the 1st 2 Hibs goals was poor but, we were a threat , a draw would have been a fair result

The players should know what to do on the field that's what GA's job is. I will give you some of the younger or less experienced might need a word now and then, but the club captain is the public face of the players, media duties etc so an experienced pro is an excellent choice, and for me SOD meets the requirements.

Why what are the requirements for being the club captain that you seem to think O'Donnell does not have ?

The away goals rule was a nonsense anyway should have been scrapped years ago, now teams need to go for it, should make for better games.

Don't see why £500k is unrealistic, he's an established international player, good recent form 2 years to go on his contract, if that was a transfer from another English team you would be talking 7 figures, we should start the negotiations at £1m after all we don't need to sell him, that will see how serious the interest is.

For a club of our size, fan base annual turnover etc we have done well over the years, we have been in 4 cup finals since 91 and been unlucky to end up playing the best team in the country in all of them. There have been three 2nd place finishes, numerous European adventures, and a champions league qualification to enjoy, yes we were having a laugh with that one. Every other team in the country apart from the ugly sisters would love a record like that, along with continual premiership status for over 35 years now I think. So taking everything into account I think we have been and still are one of the best run, if not the best in the country, so if all that meets the description of punching above our weight then I'm happy with that.
