  1. Did he really say that..?? that's unbelievable. A response should have been made long long ago not when we are bottom of the table. I would be tearing up contracts from some of the players along with the manager. I thought they would be getting an official warning for their performance much like employees in the real world.
  2. Well Well

    Club Agm

Its actually great to have a business man head the club and start addressing issues and having a plan for the way ahead for the club. I wish Les was the owner at the start of our European run 3 years ago. I know he is planning to hand over the club to the fans in 5 years but from what has been a very promising start to his reign I would prefer him to continue beyond the 5 years. If the last few weeks are anything to go by this guy knows exactly what he is doing and doing it right. I know it is way too early to judge him with just a few weeks in the door but he has addressed more issues in the last few weeks than has been done in the last 3 years. Long may it continue for me. I wish the Well society best fortune but I truly do not believe it is the best way forward for the club but that's only my opinion I take my hat off to those who are willing to invest and take the risk. I just can't get my head round a bunch of fans running a successful business.
  3. Can you please apologise for this dreadful joke
  4. I am up at 5am for work, get me some official news....
  5. ooh now this Hartley bloke sounds just what we need. Plymouth fans not happy. A leader at the back...Like the sound of that.
  6. Most of our first team squad will be loans in the run in..
  7. To be honest I don't really know but I will take any rumours gladly just now, no one else seems to be getting any inside information that used to be posted on the forums.Where's Casagolda when you need him
  8. Leanne mentioned two being worked on and a third potentially.
  9. What is more terrifying is the thought that if the new owner was not in place we could have been facing the 2nd half of the season with what we already had. Relegation would have been a certainty. At least we have a fighting chance with some new players to freshen things up and some of our nearest relegation strugglers are selling their best assets.
  10. I think the new board have a decent plan and probably better than anything you or I can think up. They want to survive in the Premiership this term hence the battling type players being brought in as ours are pretty shit and they have allowed IB to get them in. In the summer the board and IB can then look at the type of players that will allow us to build medium to long term.
  11. You can moan all you can about quality of players and copy and paste from Google but the hard facts are the players you want would ratherl go to York City before us.
  12. McDonald couldn't get a contract anywhere...!!! We were the only ones who gave him a chance
  13. and we can do that in the summer. Survival first
  14. So a player is better because he could get paid more??. I have seen a mass of shit players even in the premiership who should not get a 1/10th of what they earn but it does not make them good players. Salary earned means nothing. I expect our new players will give their all compared to what we have here already. Leanne has already told us about players this week being snatched because we couldn't meet wages from teams considered much lower than us in sponsorship, wages, tv money etc.
  15. We might be better technically but they can afford to pay far higher wages and what we can afford is where we are getting the players from. Finances are tight, however, the finances have been improved slightly by the new owner but we already have shitload of players getting wages for doing fuck all all season long. We can't get rid of them because no one wants them so we have to balance the books with what we can afford. Championship players and above are not in our league.
  16. Totally agree, team has been screaming out for players and when we sign someone people are still moaning. Some guys haven't even played for the team yet. We are not a top flight club and can't attract decent players here on loan.
  17. Probably over his injury and looking for some game time to get back to full fitness. From that article he is credited with being responsible for Plymouth good defensive record. Happy to take that risk on what could be a decent defender which could be the difference in shoring up that defence and keeping us away from relegation.Would be happy with 3 or 4 of our defenders to go out on loan elsewhere if this comes off
  18. obviously IB has no faith in what we have defenders wise with a new. left back (Straker) and two central defenders. I suppose asking for another right back considering we have 6 already would have taken it too far. a winger Thomas (who suffers bad asthma attacks), Long the keeper and Pearson is a lot of business for a club our size.
  19. We haven't signed anyone for an hour, what's going on...
  20. God what a lift just knowing we are signing players and have other potential targets lined up, feels like we are at least trying to get back on the road to recovery.
