  1. Sorry. To say manager contracts don't mean a lot is probably true in most situations but as I see it not in this case. Take this scenario , we are relegated and have a manager with a 12 month contract which we will end up paying compensation if we decide to let him go.. Now we really know why Weir said SK would not be sacked ie 5 moths as opposed to 17 months compensation.
  2. Not sure I agree with your first sentence. The vote option is WS keeping or losing majority holding. That holding appears now to be 71%. WS would still retain slim majority at 51% so there is quite a negotiating option available if so desired.
  3. Agree Imrie is not an experienced manager, but he is very experienced in the "Accies" style football Morton played last night.
  4. No the reply was to Wellgirl but the point is the season so far I consider to be unsuccessful both in our league position, style of football, and our determination to stick with it. As tonight showed it is so easy to negate. I see no point in sacking him now, neither do I have any optimism that the style will improve. I get that we have two opposing opinions on this forum classed as "points off the top six and points off relegation"
  5. As always you are entitled to your opinion and I disagree with it. Just answer the question "has he and therefore Motherwell been successful this season so far" Kettlewell has only one style of football and when opposition managers negate that he has no other options.
  6. Kettlewell has to be replaced when contract ends no matter how the season ends. Every Well fan if asked could have said how an Imrie team would play. We sent out 15/16 players and not one of them looked as if they had been given any tactics except get the ball into their box by the shortest route. I hope someone on either MFC or WS boards is actively pursuing options. Sure Tuesday was an exception but I think RC and Adams was a huge influence there.
  7. In your opinion of course which is almost all signings are either shite or pish. The issue here is two fold. 1) Managers / coaches opinions differ on players skills or lack of them and 2) It is only some time in the future can it be said that a contract should / should not have been awarded. Example Zdravkovski has a contract given to him, played minutes so far, when and who makes the decision that the contract was right or wrong. SK obviously does not see the the same skill set in players as GA did. Our next manager will be the same.
  8. Tut tut You usually make up your own jokes. Leave Eric Morecambes alone.
  9. And the next stage is "Mind your a**e on the way out"
  10. I know it is lower division opponents but I have to say Mugabi had a much improved performance against East fife than against QOS. He had the support of Casey and Blaney and was obviously to me al least told to do the simple thongs well ie let his back three partners make the more difficult decisions. Likewise at Elgin he had Blaney and SOD for support. With that kind of support on and off the park he may just have a future. Must say too been impressed with Blaney so far.
  11. Any tips on where to stay overnight Saturday. Choice online very limited, either pricey I need twin beds, taking my adult grandson. So far Fochabers or Forres only choices.
  12. Sorry my mistake its Killie that are six goal worse off.
  13. Yes by six goals be my reckoning. Not going to happen
  14. Pretty sure Gazzyb posted that to see what size of fish he could tempt..
  15. Did notice when we stuck in the congestion prior to the bridge crossing that there were a few Dutch registered cars heading north. Made a comment that maybe it was KVV personal fan club over for the match. Nearly got me thrown out. Good job I wasn't the driver. On Topic cant choose between KVV and Butcher .
  16. Yes fill the away stand. The more people that know what grass looks like the better
  17. Maybe he has been black balled
  18. Has DC Comics taken over this site or is it just Louis and Grizzlyg infectious effects.
  19. I am amazed at the number of posters on this forum who think that players at other clubs have only to be asked to join Motherwell and order a taxi before the question is completed.
  20. A definite no. HE has not HAD problems ie past He HAS health problems. Diabetic and heart are very difficult to control in at any time more so in football. And before I am crucified by some on here I say this as a diabetic with cardiology issues. Even the rules and decisions are severe and complicated enough just going to watch a match.
  21. If I am reading reports correctly McKinstry contract ends next June and he is unhappy with new terms offered so a successful season with us and who knows what could happen. He could be out of contract.
  22. Damned right Weeyin, the major reason why I avoid this forum for long spells.
  23. Admit to having doubts about an inexperienced manager. I also understand the risks of whoever is appointed experienced or not, Hammell's quotes above seem to me to be closely aligned to what most fans think. By " tweaking " does he mean signings ?. Would not have thought signings would be made under an interim manager. Seems a very tight schedule yo make an appointment.
  24. Other possibility i have looked at is. 8 passenger 6 m. minibus hire using following criteria Departure Thurs 8am Lanark. Some flexibility. Ferry Cairnryan to Belbast 11.30 - 13.45 and onward to Sligo. 150 miles approx. +/- 3 hours Return after match catching 7.30 ferry back to Cairnryan. Cost around £95 pp, Includes passengers paying for driver. mid day ferry would cost around £25 more. Early morning journey is classed as same day and has £200 discount. costs include Lounge seats each way. Would have to add minibus hire to these costs. Enquiry made. Would any one else be interested?..
