Sorry if I have made it even more confusing. What I meant was the word "Treated " in that sentence was open to the readers opinion. Did he mean the medical treatment received for his hip injury or how he has been treated by the club over this period out with injury. I was also trying to say he should have maybe used "I have" instead of "you have" if it was a personal gripe. Apologies for being pedantic.
-
Is "Treated" any more strange than "you've" in the quote when I think he means the singular I've. Guess it can be taken any way you want.

Good to see my earlier attempts at sarcasm got the team selections moving. Samson Tait Heneghan McManus Jules Cadden Lucas Clay Frear Moult Bowman/Blyth. With Clay in defensively for McHugh. Although I would not mind Campbell doing that job. -

In an ever more slightly serious note the names that are not used in tonights U20 game can go in the hat. -

Surprisingly no comment on this thread about team selection so here goes. McGhie: paper and pencil to hand. Samson, Hammell, Lasley, McManus, Chalmers, Moult. Now where did I put that pin. -

Was aware of Uefa ruling yet driving thro Lanark yesterday saw board outside a pub advertising it live?. -
In my opinion you have to appreciate the difference in the junior set up now and a lot of years ago. Then the juniors were mostly made up of young players with skill and talent to be developed, much like the U20s today. Might just be my perception of course but "junior teams" now are mostly made up of old and/or failed professional players. There will be very few Joe Warks or even further back Pat Quinn, Willie Hunter to be found there now.

Ciftci is more likely to get 2 or 3 years.

Yes! All the way from top down. PS That's one of the proposed Elite 8.

Scottish Premiership Ross County V Motherwell Tue 31 Jan 19:45

In our last game against County at FP Cadden showed their likely LB van der Weg to be slow and vulnerable to pace, booked early on iirc, so I would consider Ainsworth on the right. -
One thing I am curious about. I know overage players are not allowed but what other rules are there. For instance Celtic are buying million pound 19 year olds, Rangers latest loans are I believe 19, Kilmarnock have taken a under age player from Celtic. Seems very unfair to me if these are eligible and outwith the spirit of a youth cup. Shouldn't be surprised it is the SFA after all.
-
Probably I am in the minority but I do not get all this hype about O'Halloran. To me he is a ordinary player albeit with a bit of pace. He was one of many ordinary players at St. Johnsone that Tommy Wright got the best out of. I wouldn't say he has been a failure at Ibrox but not a roaring success either, of course that's why he may be available. Much rather have an inform Ainsworth.

And IIRC the 40/40/20 agreement means that of the £500k figure quoted means the club would retain only £200k. That would influence any decision. Of course all this media interest could be, as in the past, because of who our next opponents are.
-
I believe too that he has not had a lot of game time with injuries, some serious, being the main reason. Unsure what that has meant to his pace.

If its a choice between Accies and Hibs for the Premier League then I'll take Hibs. Accies should go back to where amateur setups belong.

I chose to use the option to ignore CMWellfan posts some time ago. Now how do I go about ignoring his posts, ooops nearly used the word contribution, when other posters quote them?. -
As a player Craigan could not be described as brilliant but he was always motivated. It is nice to know that he has the ability to pass that on to the youngsters he is working with. It is not the simplest or easiest to accomplsh. If he remains with the club it's future is in good hands.
-
He is Academy Director and as such I believe responsible for those up to and including U17s. I guess Craigan is for U20s but not solely. I would think Faddy has some input there with the comments made by the players who have extended their contracts.

Last time there (famous 1-0) bus from station to near ground took best part of 15 minutes so doubt can be walked in 20. Did walk the return journey but since I was staying overnight wasn't in any hurry and didn't time it. IIRC visiting fans were in the most difficult part of stadium for street access. -

If we cast our minds back to the Partick game, which we won of course, the game was in some ways similar. We had a good first half but then totally disappeared in the second just like yesterday. No, there's more to it than just accepting that Celtic would have more in the tank. They are, by far, the most expensive and best team in the league and its no disgrace to have lost to them but the manner in which we did so was concerning. To go 2 goals up and then simply disappear gives cause for concern. I don't think its unreasonable to expect a team to compete, although not necessarily be better than the opposition, for 90 minutes. Every match this season where we have been on top in the first half has been the same. Add Hamilton and Ross Cty to the Partick example. We can get away with it against lesser teams but not Celtic. against the three teams mentioned we could have been punished. Now I can understand this happening in the first 5 or 10 minutes of the second half as we settle again but it seems to be to a plan for all of the second half. Whose? Management or Players. It happens to often to be coincidence. -

I think we would all accept inconsistency but that has not happened due to a youth policy. -
Quote! I think with the amount of complaining that you hear from the English media about price of tickets at an EPL or Championship game as being extortionate. On a game by game basis maybe but there are some good deals to be had, if you are willing to pay for a ST. at West Ham for instance at £289,you are getting some deal, I'd imagine after about 11 home games you'd be quids in and getting entry to the rest for free and that's Premier League games against the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. The £289 ST probably a result of them stealing the stadium. Slightly off topic but for me more revealing was the gap between PL and SPL average wage structures. 150k and 2.5m. and thats including Celtic.

Not sure it is quite a clear as saying society and Club are separate identities. Society own the Club and the Club should report to the society. Same as Hutchison was owner and at the end of the day whats different. Just like him Society can approve or not every decision on finance or other. Or am I being naive?.
