Van Veen is an absolute baller. Bit of a sickener to lose that as we were for the most part excellent and really limited hibs. Minutes before the penalty Woolery misses a sitter as well. Slattery and KVV are both tremendous pieces of business. Pretty confident for the season ahead after that today.

If he was examined properly and found to be fit, there would be other clubs he'd be signing for ahead of us. He only signs for us if there's a concern over his durability. So no thanks...
Same could be said for many players we sign...

We have had enough issues with players out injured in recent seasons, the last thing we need is a player who averages more time on the treatment table than on the park, the money could be better spent elsewhere.
Get him fit though, and in form he could be a real asset to us and one of the best midfielders in the league potentially IF he stays fit of course. If he was to be signed I’m sure he’d be examined properly etc. And to be seen if he had any concerning underlying issues.

What would people’s opinions be on looking at Lewis Macleod, ex rangers, Brentford, wigan and Plymouth ? Currently without a club and a Lanarkshire lad.
He’s unfortunately injury prone, but there is a cracking player there if he could stay fit….. even on a month to month if that worked for both parties
Is this a cheeky wee leak or just wishful thinking. Think he’d be a cracking player for us and still young enough to make a name for himself.

I’d take Oddofin was always in and out of the team at Livingston but he seemed to really mature and hit a consistent bit of form for Accies. Covers depth in multiple positions Defensive Midfield, Right Back and Centre Back if need be.

Deal for the Finnish international is basically done by all accounts.

It’s a “brilliant” signing to be fair to the club

I’m going to put it out there and say we’ve just got ourself an EPL capable keeper on a 3 year contract. How he never got another championship team I’ll never know. By the way he was class for QPR as well and had a really good run in the side for a long while but fair play to the club on working day and night to get the deal done.

Why would we look at a right back ?
WIth both S'OD and young Max Jonhstone - who 's a damn fine prospect I don't see the need.
Good chance SOD could be away don’t know anything about that but with Max Johnston we’ve very much been trying to put him in the shop window.

You sure about the Luton guy? It was Dundee that had a guy on loan from there according to p&b.
The liverpool guy has barely played for anyone, cant imagine him being a starter.
Ah I’ve got mixed up didn’t even realise, we do have a London based player to come in on trial with a view to a loan hence why it made sense when I seen it.

If we end up with Mugabi, Lamie, Taylor, O'Connor and Devine as centre back options that's a decent mix (if O'Connor has potential) and there would be real competition for a start.
Also another 2 CBs on trial one being the ex Liverpool, West Ham player Mi’chel Parker and other someone mentioned a trialist from Luton (possibly on loan)

Obviously been reading this site and P&B.
Was thinking that myself but it has become pretty known knowledge in the last few days.

I really hope we address the Defence asap we need a a couple of centre backs at the very least right back and left back we are fine but central pretty weak in that position.
Darragh O’Connor on trial most recently at Leicester. Republic of Ireland youth too. Last one from Leicester worked out pretty well.

Sources: Motherwell agree to sign Woolery from Tranmere
22nd Jun, 2021 | 3:02pmMotherwell have agreed a deal to sign Tranmere Rovers striker Kaiyne Woolery, Football Insider can reveal.
The Scottish Premiership club have swooped for the 26-year-old ahead of his contract expiring at the end of this month.
James: I look after Jude in England...
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Woolery has been pencilled in for a medical at Motherwell as he completes a free transfer.
The forward helped Tranmere reach the League Two play-offs in the 2020-21 campaign.
He contributed 11 goals and three assists in 52 appearances over the course of the season but Rovers ultimately fell short of promotion.
Born in London, Woolery has spent the majority of his professional career at Swindon Town.
The Robins signed him from Wigan Athletic for a fee in the region of £350,000 in August 2017.
Woolery contributed 14 goals and 14 assists in 111 appearances for the club before leaving on a free to join Tranmere last September.
The versatile forward, who can play anywhere across the front line, has also spent time at Bolton Wanderers, Notts County and Forest Green Rovers.
Motherwell boss Graham Alexander knows of Woolery from his time managing in the English lower leagues with Fleetwood Town, Scunthorpe and Salford City.
Woolery will become the third arrival of the summer at Fir Park after Connor Shields and Justin Amaluzor.
Alexander has lost Chris Long and Devante Cole to Crewe Alexandra and Barnsley respectively this summer.
He will hope Woolery can help fill the void left by the forwards who scored a combined 18 goals last season.
He’s one of the others on trial along with another ex Spurs younster Shayon Harrison.

You realise you have increased the number of Google searches into the Maltese national squad from the ML1 area exponentially? I haven't looked but I'm sure some will.
Joe muscatt is his name was previously at Paderborn in Germany, came through at Tottenham then moved on to Bolton.

Currently on trial we have 2 strikers (not out and out goalscorers), Malta midfield internationalist, Keeper and a younster from Leicester.
-
Could see us potentially being in for the lad Regan Hendry at Raith Rovers. Out of contract. Only 23 and was nominated for player of the season and also in the TOTS for the championship. Definitely a position we will be looking at.
-
Had 3 players in last Friday for talks, so all being well could potentially see one in this week.

Think Conor Shields is an excellent signing. We were actually interested in him when he was flying at Albion rovers a few years ago but he got the move to Sunderland. Also thought he would have been worth a punt last season. But I’m kind of glad the way it’s worked out, move to QoS has probably been a massive confidence booster for him and has shown exactly what he can do at a level just below us. 3 year deal is a great move from the club and a local boy too.
-
Wasn’t a massive fan of SOD but he’s really grown on me and scored some big goals also. Still expect more from an international but he’s probably a decent player for our level and hopefully in a better team next year be even better for us. Hope he has a cracking euros and probably earned his spot with his international performances recently. However if you’re talking about captains it’s got to be Jake Carroll if fit. Fantastic player and always talking I’m sure a few players mentioned it and coaching staff and it came as a surprise to me but he seems to be enjoying his time here and hopefully has a injury free season next year.
-
For me GA has steadied the ship when he came in we hadn’t won since Halloween? Alexander joined early January. Got points on the board and hopefully keeps us up. The same thing that happened to McCall had happened to Robinson, great manager but times up. It’s a very difficult position for the manager to be in when you’ve got a club captain and others who’s contracts are up and don’t want to be there.

Wouldn’t expect to see Mugabi feature any time soon, dislocated shoulder, Devine injured and Dec “injured”. Down to the bare bones.
