  1. Good best for all concerned. Still can quite fathom what value there is for Dundee Utd to pay probably in the region of £750,000 over 3 years to win exactly the same as us. Especially for a club with hefty debt and being bailed out by fans pretty regularly.
  2. I very much doubt any of the clubs looking are basing their assessment on one game.
  3. alot will also depend how much the opposing teams have managed to strengthen or not too
  4. on the back of 9/10 games, great if you can get it.
  5. Hope so we need to end the TW drama and move him on now.
  6. See Jake Hastie couldn't make the grade at Thistle and they declined the option to extend his deal. Has a player ever become so wealthy on the back of 10 games.... Hes played 101 games in 5 years an utterly pathetic return for someone apparently so talented . 65 of those games were pre 2019. Rangers got their fingers burned with that one. He is a prime example of why players should jump at the money.
  7. Not being a fan of his appointment and still having serious doubts until October it would be churlish not to acknowledge there is most definitely been improvement as the season has progressed long may it continue .... he has to be congratulated for securing the club financially should someone wish to take him. Not many players or managers do that. Even if TW had signed a contract he'd have got bigger wages and he'd still have got a move.
  8. while you are doing that bring back the 100s of posts that just about greet every signing as "terrific signing for us" and they turn out to be pish. Everyone gets it wrong at times , I dare say you do too.
  9. no hes Scottish Championship level.
  10. what a waste of money that is for a club struggling in the SPFL. They will be paying Griffiths a good wad too. They could probably have had 3 or 4 half decent players for the cost of those two.
  11. i dont think i did agree. You seem to think players being successful once they leave us is good for us or maybe I'm reading you wrong. If that is what you are saying I do disagree. If players that move on from us to bigger contracts and consistently fail that will have no bearing whatsoever on players signing for us. What a player does or does not achieve after they leave us is a reflection on them not Motherwell.
  12. -why would we point to players dropping down a level or two many go onto bigger clubs. If they go onto a bigger club after us we have done our job , if said player turns out to be pish with said bigger club that's not to our detriment that to the players detriment. We facilitated their move to better things if they don't exploit that it won't reflect on us at all. Truth be told many who leave us to go onto bigger clubs are never heard of again. There are exceptions but its not the norm. So fort me there is no need to care or hope an ex player does well. They are gone and thats the end of it for me.
  13. I cant make my mind up about Barry McGuire he reminds me alot of Stuart Carswell.
  14. Likewise I don't give a flying fuck how ex players get on. They don't play for us so I'm totally disinterested.
  15. what more can be said... player doesnt want to stay , player signs pre contract , player will be leaving. There is discussing and flogging a dead horse.
  16. Michael talks alot of sense at times. However we need to move on and forget TW he's nailed his colours to the mast and it ain't our mast. I have no interest in him whatsoever any more, ex players don't interest me in the slightest never have. I know all the arguments about him seeing it out with us til the summer or not. I frankly don't care, I'm bored of it now. We will survive his loss and we have to look forward to OUR not HIS January window and get guys in who strengthen our current solid position not be thinking about someone who has no interest in our club. He is becoming a distraction.
  17. That what so called journalism is, presenting a narrative , not necessarily true, but to suit an agenda. Hence the clusterfuck this country is currently in.
  18. So does that mean he was unhappy at Motherwell? Unhappiest badge Kisser I've ever seen.
  19. I make an exception for Turnbull without wishing his team great success at Celtic I bear him no I'll will whatsoever. He went out his way by signing a contract when he knew he could have left for nothing. He made sure the club got a hefty wedge and for that he should never be castigated by any Motherwell fan. He did right by us without doubt.
  20. He will do fine but he wont make Dundee Utd achieve any more than us so the question is £750,000 contract for TW worth the money.
