Still a bit in disbelief how we won that. The minute Hibs scored we lost our way. Hibs had the freedom of the wings and we won very few second balls. That said we employ defenders and a goalkeeper to keep the opposition out and they did just that. Outstanding backs to the wall defensive display. A good team wins ugly and that's what we did and to do so with 8 debuts in the SPFL at a difficult venue is an outstanding start to the season. Terrific away support again today. Good to see Simon Ramsden in amongst the fans enjoying the win.

I'm not against a new stadium but to think we'd finance it by naming rights and office space is wide of the mark. Rotherham rent out office space in their new stadium and get £36,000 a year from one large office suite. Out with transfer fees we still run at a small operating loss so saddling ourselves with £500,000 to £1 million a year in additional financing costs is not realistic. If it was we'd have done it by now. A £20 million pound loan to build a stadium in the UK over 30 years would cost between £1.45 million to £2 million pounds a year to finance., Utter fantasy that we could afford that. Clubs out with Rangers and Celtic would get around £100,000 -£250,000 a year for naming rights.

A new build Stadium is £20/£25 million for a basic build. There is no scenario I can see that we can fund that.

I don't know how anyone over 6 foot sat in the Centre of the Main Stand before the latest changes.

We probably wouldnt need to, a new stand could be "tapered" into the corner similar to two stands at Easter Road and one at Rugby Park. Id make part of any plan to include a new roof on the Hunter Stand.

I was just gonna ask what the fans thought about that. Once Maswanhise goes the club could be sitting on between £10 to £14 million would the fans accept say £6 million being used to rebuild the main stand?

Just went into the ground map for tickets and there are only 33 available in the Cooper Stand to buy, none in the Phil O'Donnell or the Hunter Stand. I realise the club have blocked the sale of season ticket seats until the deadline day. However if all Season Ticket holders were to buy a ticket the ground would be all but sold out. If that were to happen thats quite remarkable considering its not that much of a glamour tie.

Because thats what agents are paid for to have "if" for all sorts of scenarios in contracts. Agents arent daft.

Its not always just down to the club. Players agents have all sorts of clauses in their contracts that forces the clubs hand. Look at Shankland.

I think Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeens budgets are considerably higher. Aberdeen had 3 players on >£20,000 a week and the average wage being £5000 a week, that's considerably more that Motherwell. Hibs and Hearts will pay similarly.

I see Celtic have agreed to an early termination of Steven Welsh contract. Why do I get the horrible feeling he ain't coming to us.
