I did not go yesterday, nothing to do with expecting victory but a mix of their pricing policy, the plastic pitch, and the weather. I’m pretty much of the opinion now though that I won’t return while Accies continue to rip off Well supporters ( especially families) with a cat A classification which I think is totally out of order. But then we are also not returning to Livingstone either until those running Scottish football get real and ban their abomination of a playing surface.

To be fair the chasing pack are now right on our tails, they were miles behind a month ago.

Not bothering for this one, the mix of the pitch, horrendous weather and both teams form means it’s going to be an absolute pile of crap.

Difficult made even more so by the injuries. It will be interesting to see if Hartley plays because if not and with limited choices he’s basically saying goodby to the club captain. I have a feeling Hartley will get another chance and bounce back. He had a mare that first half but frankly so did everyone.

“ But look where we are in the league” The judgement on this season will come when it ends. For every time he’s “Fucked up” as you put it, he’s got it right two or three times over. So start of the season the average supporter would have snapped your hand off for a top six finish and probably thought that was a long shot, I would be very surprised if we finish outside the top six as it stands. Robinson certainly got it wrong last night, don’t disagree with that but it’s all about a balanced view over the season.

Bowman was at his best alongside Moult, for a while they were excellent but he was never the same after Moult left. Limited ability but a hard worker and for me the right move. The problem we have when players like Bowman and Main keep getting mentioned is why neither were replaced with the right player, that’s not long and never will be. Not sure why we keep signing wide men, guess they are easier to find than a good central striker but hopefully Watt turns out to be the player we need, he’s got ability, can hold the ball up, and is the right age, fingers crossed.

I guess as Robinson has said expectation have risen, we are top four, not bottom four but you would not think so at times.

I agree with a lot of that in fairness, although I do think Scott is getting better with every post he’s mentioned in.

In many ways it actually is. The club was in danger of folding due to irresponsibly spending and those running it now are determined that does not happen again. It’s quite clear that running the club without any debt brings huge advantages and income from the sale of players can now be invested where needed. I get that you’re one of the posters that want’s to see money spent on players and others retained but the club has made it quite plain that players will need to be sold every season in order to break even and I don’t see that changing. They felt the offer for Scott was a fair one, personally I agree with them but it’s always going to be open to debate. No doubt when Turnbull goes the same arguments will ensue.

Not panicking yet but we need a win on Saturday to steady the nerves.

It’s also worth remembering that we sell players every season in order to try and break even. We don’t suddenly have a ton a free cash as a good chunk of it offsets expenses.

As said it’s important we concentrate on St Mirren first, they have improved and are more than capable of winning at our place.
