I feel the same way - it’s a shame we don’t have the weekend off as suspect mentally and physically the team has gone through a lot . The team needs time to gel , find the best starting 11 . id be delighted to see a few glimpses of what might be in store

STV - my post was intended to be positive - hence leading with ‘early signs are positive ‘ im optimistic - apologies that it didn’t read that way. I dont believe we yet are as strong as last season due to huge turnover , injuries and the sheer volume of games . It was never intended to say I’m not impressed , quite the opposite . Alfred has been dealt tough cards and to date been very positive.

Early signs are positive and got to ignore this evening. JBA will be a tough act to follow and personal view is we've not been as impressive as we were last season in terms of ball retention and some of the back to front movement. Need to see how we do in the league and now Europe is finished we can get back into a normal routine of games.

Sadly it’s men against boys . Almost literally when you look at the age of our team . weve worked our socks off but the gap in quality is huge . Just want the game to end

Very Pwoud of the first half performance . we grew into the game and delighted to be 1-1 at the break . Will need subs to make an impact - lots of the boys running their socks off

I agree with that albeit I thought Whyte was not terrible. I don't know what Ross or Booth offer at this stage and it get's my goat every time the manager leads with how great Booth is . He's no where near ready. Vogts isn't any better or to be honest JT looks completely disinterested. I had given JT the benefit of the doubt as he's missed preseason but today I didn't see anything.

Manager has to take accountability for fielding so many player out their depth. Players have to take accountability for not trying to play football - irrespective of approach or changes to personnel their approach wasn't good enough. Injuries are a real concern missing Sparrow , Williams, JK, Priestman. Lack of squad bigger concern - don't think any of the forwards we're missing would make any difference. Massive reality check today - I thought Falkirk was really poor - this like others have said was as bad as we've seen and we've seen it over and over and over again.

Agreed - they prob need to play this level consistently to help them. Booth and Ross are nowhere near ready - not their fault but put them out on loan . vogt - a long way to go for him .

Vogt so far in Motherwell colours looks a long way off it . that said several are miles off it today

Appreciate a few players needed to be given a chance throughout the game + huge opportunity in Europe. To play Connelly, Wilson, Ross, Whyte and Booth from the start. Add to that it's Hodges first game and Vogt has been poor. For me it's over reaching in terms of changes and no surprise that we've been poor.

I’m supportive of giving players time and also conscious of not pushing g players who were getting up to speed . im less convinced about changing the keeper - it doesn’t have the same argument for fatigue and I honestly don’t believe connelly to be as strong. Here’s hoping we don’t make a pigs ear of today

We are a good side and who knows stranger things have happened. The odds gave us a 10 to 20% chance. I'm not confident but I am proud that we've represtend ourselves well. Has a feeling of Dortmund all those years ago.

We've come on leaps and bounds as a club over the 2 years. The best football we've been treated to in living memory. That eradicated some of the previous underwhelming performances when the crowds were high etc. I've never seen us have control like this in European ties - very good first half and for 20 mins of the second half we were outstanding. Stand up and sing.🎶

Caught my eye that 3 of our 5 perm signings came from clubs relegated last season - wonder if that’s partly how we landed them - or perhaps just a coincidence

Thats as strong a team as we have at the moment . RCC is certainly more effective and match ready than JT. I feel for JT , he missed preseason and has been thrown in for 15 mins the 2x full games .

Sparrow has been fabulous this season and would be one of the first picks . last season I thought he’d fallen away and appreciate he wasn’t playing his natural position. He’s someone who with game time has just continued to grow
