I’d like to see us stronger down both flanks and give the opposition something to worry about Paulsen JK. JGR JKL Longelo Fadinger Prisetman/McGhee Hodge kanga Lowry Said That would rule out a centre forward - but overall more dangerous Altneratively - bolster the defence. Paulsen JGR JKL Mooreman JK. Longelo Fadinger Priestman kanga Lowry Said Appreciate some players could come in/out but would like to see us stretch teams down either side.

Kanga was excellent when he came on - it enabled Longelo, Hodge and Kanga all to cause issues - which we should have scored from. It needs 3 of them the wingback, midfield and attack and with the talent of Kanga and Longelo really promising. This is something that we should leverage in coming game.s On the right we need something similar - it should really be JK, Fadinger and Said.

6 game losing streak - fist in +20 years. 14 goals conceded - 3 scored . Today was one our better performances from those 6 games, yes we lost. Players should also take a level of accountability, yes we've had some injuries but bottom line is the buck stops with the manager.

He's been brutal - I thought today when Kanga and Thor (who was awful) came on they'd take Maswanhise off and put Seb more to the right as at least he was working them. Sad to see his absolute decline which lets be honest has been for all of 2026 - he for me wouldn't start again for several weeks and even as sub I'd want to see an impact.

We performed reasonably well BUT this was against a tired Hearts team who’ve played in Europe , had some injuries and struggled to win away . we gave away 2 soft goals we missed several opportunities so after losing 5 games it was a must win game - we didn’t and at no point today did I think we were going to win . 6 straight losses - several against teams who’ve struggled - the writing for me is beyond being on the wall

We need to make some changes at half time . id take of Hodge and Maswanhise - neither adding value and the latter is a complete waste of a jersey push thors through middle with palmer and said either side of him

Been trying to watch Hodge to see what he offers on left of midfield - not much and not really sure how he manages to both get a game nor does he get subbed very often I know this may be an odd suggestion but think we were stronger with Wilson left back and longelo further up

One of the central defenders needs to be attacking the ball - again far too easy .

Knight Lebel - an international who played very well - what does this guy actually need to do to get a game ? more to the point how bad to others need to be - before we put this guy back in the team

He and Lowry would be the first on my team sheet if and when fit

Not sure it’s ever than binary in terms of reasons for leaving . We don’t see what’s on one inside the club . be interesting to see what happens between now and January - happy path is go on a sustained run of good performances and results but time will prove out

Hammell was a decent guy (and probably still is to be fair). Point being decent guys even when their club legends don't survive 5 game straight defeats. Not saying impossible, more improbable that he'll be here long term. Any type of win today would be great - normally I care about the performance but in this weather that would be an act of sheer folly

I feel for Sparrow - he's a midfielder and at his best attacking and getting into the box. There's 10 defenders in the squad, 5 are wingbacks yet Sparrow is the one shoehorned in RB.

Pragmatic approach - agree with the majority of what you’ve written . im really hoping the arse hasn’t already fallen out of it - other than mcinnes and levein not too many managers got past a 5 straight game losing streak . Some non defeats will have to come along pretty quickly - together with improved performances . Hoping Sunday is one of them

I share your concerns. Since the early games in July we've regressing and it not obvious if we've hit bottom yet. My expectation of a transition period = you see a mix of things. I'm not seeing a mix, I'm seeing deterioration. I hear the manager outline the issues but I don't see the team fixing those issues. The weekend for example we were well beaten by the team who sat bottom of the league. I hope rather than expect for things to turn around. There's not many previous managers that I can recall went into a 5 game straight defeat and turned it around. It January 2025 with Kettlewell/Frail last time it happened. The time before was Hammell. I'm not calling for the manager to be sacked, I hope things get better but I'm not yet seeing signs of improvement , I'm concerned.

making a point on team selection & general set up. I know this isn't the only issues, work-rate, pressing as a team, making self available, confidence etc are part of the problem but thought worth articulating where I see issues in the set up. Point 1) Team selection - there's an international player not being used + despite having 5 wingbacks a midfielder is annoying Grizzly at RB. Point 2) System - I don't remember any real variance of the 4-2-3-1 and certainly don't see any attacking option on the left to support Longelo. Team Selection/ decisions We have 10 defenders. From the 5 who have played wingback we opt for none of these at RB. In the Centre Jamie Knight Lebel has had +60 pro games in UK and a Canadian International but isn't getting game time. Knowing that Priestman was injured we loaned out Whyte who had played+50 pro appearances in last 2 seasons. Both McGhee & Girdwood-Reich are described as players who could go into defensive midfield but never used to cover. System 4 -2 -3 -1 or 4 -3 -3 or 4-2-1 -2 depending on game. Looking back to last Nov - March during our fabulous run we pivoted between 3 systems. If we're following this principles either Kanga or Said should be an auto start (where Just was last season). If Lowry is the just role then I can't see anyone covering the role Slattery played. Irrespective of who we pick we should have 3 attacking players through the left, middle and right of the park - I only ever see support on right wing and through the middle we get snuffed out.

I was referring to the league - it was after 9 league games we went on the extraordinary defensive record . Think we’d all be delighted to keep keep things tight for the next phase of games

Hard to believe it's that close - hadn't realised it was 13 goals after 9 games - amazing how the memory works. I think we went on to concede 4 goals in the following 19 games - now that would be a pattern worth pursing. 100% need to learn to shut up shop - step 1 be clear who you're back 4 should be. Step 2 - rest of team need to keep the ball and themselves moving

For me the biggest doubt derives from steadily getting worse as each week passes and appreciate confidence is part of the issue . July and Aug we had a similar identity - passing , ball retention etc . It’s hard not to correlate the longer the manager has had to get ideas across the worst we’ve become . it’s not obvious what we’re working on in training - put individual errors to the side - in most games we completely lose our shape and teams carve through us for long periods of time - that’s got to be down to training etc and not just individual errors
