  1. agree with that. It's clear that he has many good qualities and a good person to have around. Sadly his positional sense and lack of timing aren't amongst these qualities, which costs him and the team points. He's probably do well in the championship, he could be on of RC's first signings
  2. I don’t mind SOD, think he’s ok in the new format but over 3 years he’s not been worthy of a first team start . Like many I don’t know when or how he got an extension . we have a ridiculous squad size. I’d much prefer we only re-sign regular starters. fringe players unless young and just coming through should leave .
  3. There’s not much wrong with our current starting 11 . Retain most of them them , offload the others who are bloating our wage bill would be a good foundation .
  4. Now is a a good time to be as ruthless as we can . money for kvv will pay off some of our recent losses offload all the players who are out of contract , none of the strikers are good enough . say thanks and goodbye to Cornelius and Glenys out of contract . put out the Morris’s , shields etc out on loan to championship clubs or anyone who’ll have them .
  5. Agree that McGhee was excellent first time around . Had us playing some terrific football . Even mcgarry looked like a top player GAs style was horrendous , somehow we managed to win games and went on a long streak playing the worst footy ever and got to 4th . the club extended his contract knowing how poor the style of footy was - the blame lies with the club rather than GA . He was always quite up front about his approach .
  6. Maybes aye - he’s the one that stood out for all the wrong reasons .
  7. Not that there was much doubt . Defensively we’re not the same without Butcher and Casey . without them we’ve slipped back into being a much easier team to score against
  8. Good luck to GA. No need to wish him or previous managers anything other than best wishes . He got us out of trouble . Did his best and ultimately left the club when things didn’t work out . He has only ever spoken positively about the club . appreciate its frustrating when things don’t go well but I’ve no issue with any of our recent gaffers . Happy to wish him well for future endeavours .
  9. In all honesty last few games have been poor on the eye but the points keep rolling in . keeps the final game interesting
  10. A fit Moult is a quality player. He also cares about the club and would likely take the pay as you play deal. I'm pro any decent "well player coming back, appreciate not everyone is. For me Faddy, Pearson, McDonald, Hammell, Lasley, Craggs are all good examples. Phil Odonnel returned when he was 32, another player written off due to injuries. , yet in his twighlight years was nothing short of superb and put in a further 77 appearances. Who's to say Moult wouldn't be similar. Having quality pros around, even if they play half the games are good for the first team + all the youngsters who can learn.
  11. Im slightly concerned that SK thinks Mandron is someone to keep around. He speaks very highly of both Mandron and Obika. Both big physical boys who work hard but neither will bring in lots of goals. Be interesting to see what transpires over the closed season.
  12. poor ref poor game poor moving forward. great result
  13. Pretty dreadful game - be nice to see some of the other attacking options come off the bench
  14. Pretty poor game - any moment of quality will one this one
  15. I’d have liked to see Cornelius back in the team . Personally believe he’s better than Paton ,
  16. think the winners medal may have cheered him up
  17. I can see why you felt like this. I had the innocence of youth, I thought it was a fore gone conclusion that no matter what we'd win. Got to extra time and my dad + uncle were a bag of nerves . Told them to calm down, Kirk hadn't scored yet and sure enough. If had to replay the events as an adult I don't think my nerves would be able to handle it. Lasting memory was to have a sea of "well fans around me in glasgow and then back at FP. Will never forget the sheer volume of Claret & Amber.
  18. When the Well went up to lift the Scottish Cup we were there , we were there. Best football day of my life.
  19. I was delighted we brought him on loan and he was one of the very few positive players under Hammel . He’s a very decent footballer and will likely go to a bigger club than us . Appears he isn’t rated sufficiently mixed with not fitting current formation .
  20. He's proven himself and got off to a terrific start as our gaffer. Defensively it's night and day from where we were.
  21. I like S’OD . Moving forward I think he’s decent . The formation that SK plays with him further up will suit him . don’t believe he’s well suited to a back 4 .
  22. He did mention that Obika had been injured and was hoping to get him back. He spoke highly of how well he started. I don't disagree about Mandron. Suspect he's in the team to help when we punt the ball up, he's a big unit and if we win second balls etc it sets KVV and others up. Something Aitchinson and others wouldn't be able to do. I'd be stunned if we kept him.
  23. VAR is now checking this @Ya Bezzer!. Don't worry it will come back with a prompt response within the next couple of months.
  24. It would be great for KVV to stay. He's a player of unquestioned talent who over the years has struggled to find the right club to settle down with. He's at a club that he enjoys, has fans that adore him. This might just be the place for him to stay. That said I thought the same about Tony Watt. I'm still reasonably convinced that KVV and Watt would have proven to be an outstanding frontline. Must say some of KVV's touches and control over the last few weeks have been the stuff of joy. Not since likes of Cooper have I seen a 'Well player with such a wonderful first touch.
  25. No question Slattery has talent. I stand my comments of being slow. He's the most booked player in the league for a reason, generally it's down to him being late for the challenge, which leads to persistent following. This is why he he get's booked so regularly. All our players have strengths and weaknesses. A sharper, fitter Slattery would be a great player and prob one out with our budget.
