Time will tell. It's his second game and the defensive partnership was quite different to last week. From playing with Lamie to having him/Lamie/Mugabi. We either need to play with 3 centre backs and forget about wingbacks or play a back 4. Today we tried a mx of both, which just didn't work. Either way we need a form of stability. But like you said the jury is out.

delighted with the win - it was only ever going to be ugly. We had 10-15 mins of decent play the start of each half today against a very poor Livy team. I don't blame it all on not having the players. The mgr has brought in 9 players and resigned xx amount more. GA needs to take accountability for the style of play + formations + the very predicable set pieces.

for me the basics are missing - we allow poor teams to have c60% possession -end up sitting with 5 men in defence without ever getting tight. For their goal - we didn't get close to Forrest.

good first 20 mins when we kept to the 3-4-3. Seem to very quickly drop to a 5-2-3 and getting over run in midfield and sitting very deep. Inviting Livy to come at us.

good to see Carrol and Grimmie have been pushed into midfield. We are much stronger in midfield than of late.

Even worse it can become a 5-2-3 - which happened in the cup game It's essential that we push Grimmie and Carrol forward enough and that we keep Watt central or just behind the front 2. In short make it work in midfield

selection puzzles me most weeks - looks like only 2 midfielders unless we're playing Grimmie in right midfield. Personally not seen enough from either Woolery or Amaluzor to convince me to play them ahead of VV or Shields. Hopefully they start shining today.

I was thinking the same thing. £12 to watch on a stream is plenty. Appreciate they want encourage punters into the games but living in Yorkshire makes it difficult.

Had a scour on the net and can't find anything back to the 90s. Early 2000's we averaged 7500 fans (2005 season). We've definitely dropped off since but perhaps 10k per week is remembering through claret coated lenses. Either way I'd love to see FP back rocking and no better time than now. (well next week)

I get that - Edinburgh has always been bigger than Motherwell. It's more a comparison how we've fallen in crowd size. Hibs/Motherwell for a long period of time had very similar crowd size, over the last 20 years they've maintained v's we've halved in crowd size. I don't know how they've managed to maintain v's why we declined - but it does frustrate. Ideally I'd like to see us improve and get stronger as a club - v's the survive another year and aim for 9-6th spot.

My frustration was not too many years ago we had very similar crowds - Hibs have maintained and added more punters. We have reduced by more than 50%.

frustrates me that a team like Hibs who not so long ago were relegated are able to snap up some of our previous decent players. Shows the impact of being able to maintain 10k crowds each week.
