agree - Polworths distribution is awful at the moment.
Carrol started poorly but improved as the game went on.
Thought Carrol/ODonnell both among our better players yesterday together with Watt.
O'Hara has been one of our most solid players but would rather have him in midfield and bring in a decent centre half.
Create midfielders / wingers/ strikers - yes please. A great time to bring in loan signings as the lack of reserve football means there's some cracking young prospects in the premiership who we could bring in.
McCall is very similar to Robinson. Over a 4 year period had a great win rate (+40%) but his final season was dreadful and ran out of ideas.
Did the same with Bradford, 3 times over.
A wide berth should be given
I don't get a sense that these players don't wan't to be here.
Cole isn't good enough but puts in a shift (I don't know why we brought him back tbh)
Polworth isn't playing well but that doesn't mean he doesn't care.
Gallagher and O'Donnell are both putting in a shift.
Long, I know has faults but he's been played out of position. A natural centre forward who we played out wide.
I hope they all stay and we bring in a few decent signings and a decent gaffer (not one of the Scottish merry go round wasters)
we lost this game when we threw it away in the first 10 mins.
Same players cost us stupid goals and no way back.
Irrespective of how hard a task lastly has some of these players should never have been given a game
I'd play Hastie - I know he's not a fans favourite for many reasons but we need width and he offers that. He and Polworth are the only players likely to offer anything creative in midfield (until we get new signings )
Assuming Las had input into the first team I can't conceive that he's the right person to move us forward. I seem him as a mini Robinson rather than having his own clear vision.
He'll need to set us up very differently in formation/personnel to convince many that he's the way forward.
Given the current squad and time of year it would be prudent to bring in a safe pair of hands to see us through until the end of the season.
Similar to when we brought in Craig Brown - he knew what he was doing and got the most of the squad. To be clear I'm not stating Brown but someone in that mould .
I don't mean to be horrible as Lasley has been great for Well over the years. I can't help but think he's been part of the problem - unless he makes significant changes to personnel or formation I suspect we'd get more of the same.
we were the better side but we don't have any control or structure to the team. Forwards have to come far too deep , we create very little as we can't string any passes together and have very little movement
