  1. Balloting those who have stuck their hand in their pocket by buying a season ticket is the only way fairway to do it
  2. Absolutely delighted with that signing tonight...a starting centre back and an intelligent central midfielder and I'll be happy and pretty confident going into the new season
  3. I'd suggest it's the opinion of most Scotland followers who arent blinded by the good old claret and amber spectacles As for the strikers, both are playing consistently at a higher level than our guy On the manager, I have a fair amount of time for him, but I think he could a fair few things wrong over the past couple of weeks
  4. I have sympathy with both Clarke and SOD as there is no other obvious candidate...Palmer is on a level par with SOD, Paterson is young and highly inexperienced, Rooney would have been a huge risk, Hickey has hardly played in months and is inexperienced, Forrest wouldn't do any better defensively than SOD...so I see why Clarke sticks by him. It's just a pity that he is clearly the weakest player in the regular starting XI.
  5. What's supporting Motherwell got to do with my opinion of a player playing in a Scotland Jersey? Do I think SOD is adequate at our level? Aye...do I think he is what we need in a Scotland Jersey? Absolutely not. There are nae claret and amber tinted specs where me and Scotland are concerned.
  6. We went out due to a combination of poor finishing, poor defending and poor decision making...SOD had a nightmare against the Czechs when we were beaten and was for me our worst performer last night. I get that he is the lowest paid player in the squad...theres probably a really good reason for that.
  7. Yes and no...for me, he is completely lost at that level and was comfortable our poorest performer last night despite the best efforts of Armstrong
  8. Back to being dugshite Stevie
  9. Aye the ones that didnt know what they were looking at
  10. In general, I agree with this...however I think its pretty clear to see that Patterson and Gilmour are going to be tremendous players. At right back, we have a real problem, as SOD (for me) isnt good enough and his deputy Palmer even worse, so I can fully see the logic in taking another youngster along as back up. I'd have done the same with 3rd choice keeper, rather than take McLaughlin along.
  11. I have followed the full thing pretty closely
  12. What's the basis of this pile of nonsense?
  13. Tshibola was absolutely miles out in their game the other night
  14. Clarke has spent a fair bit of time with the vast majority of the 26man squad, the new guys like Turnbull and Gilmour will now be the ones to try and catch his eye...he doesn't need a waster like Griffiths and Gauld, despite having a good season is effectively trying to break into our strongest department. After those two you are literally looking at Considine and Palmer, who have both been bombed out for a reason.
  15. Both....we've had far better keepers in Ruddy, Randolph and Carson since then in my opinion
  16. I'm actually quite pleased that Clarke has been decisive in who he wants to take... ...Southgate has real problems with who to leave out. Of his 33 man squad 4 are right backs, Walker, TAA, Trippier and James. Havent a clue how he whittles that down to 2
  17. I agree with that...except for goalkeeper
  18. I'm nae sherlock Holmes, but I've worked it out
  19. Gie yersel peace...even in the worst teams there is a gem or two to be had
  20. I'm amazed at that, as someone who like to think he knows his fitba I dont think I could pick Mason Greenwood out in a line up
  21. I never bought a book this season for the 1st time in about 20years...will most certainly be buying one this season though. Well done MFC
