  1. I wouldn't be getting bent out of shape with their decision...anybody that wants to go there needs their napper read
  2. Not had that feeling at a game of football in what feels like years...I was still buzzing hours after the kick off, watched the game on Alba and watched the Sportscene highlights. The wife wasn't impressed at all. It was said on sportscene that the sheep had 75% possession and it certainly felt that way. This looks like a clear instruction from the manager to allow the other team to have the ball, let them huff and puff and we attempt to hit on the counter. It was evident against both Hibs and Dundee too At times its really difficult to watch, but who can argue with the results? The defence was essentially 4 centre backs today, before Lamie came onto make it 5, and that is going to be difficult for any side to breakdown. Ojala was excellent, Solholm looks like a good capture and the two full backs did fine. While a special mention for Kelly, who done everything asked of him...to me, he looks like a keeper that shouldn't be at our level. Midfield still really concerns me though, Slattery looks a top player but at times yesterday it looked like he was in Midfield himself with both OHara and Grimshaw, really chasing shadows and getting dragged out of position. Hopefully Goss, when up to speed will be the one to come in and help Slattery out. Up front, I've said it for ages now but Watt is an absolute joy of a player, his work rate is 2nd to none in our team and he can play football as well, he is brilliant and we need to tie him down. His partnership with crazy Dutch bastard could be quite something. I'm yet to be convinced by Woolery, he has physique and pace but I'm not seeing that fitba brain that I like fitba players to have. I'm in two minds on the shithousery thing...on one hand I quite enjoyed how obvious Alexander made it by whipping off his 3 forwards for 3 big units to help us defend against a side with no real know-how of how to break us done, but the constant dropping to the floor at the slightest touch and grabbing the ball on the way down is really tiresome, both teams were at it and the referee failed to nip it in the bud. A few other things; when the son of Derek Ferguson isn't getting pelters from the East Stand because he is so far down the bawbag list, you know that you are up against a team of fannies. How good was it to be so comfortable in beating a team with top-class arseholes like Gallagher and Brown in their ranks?...a new one to add to the list is the little bawbag right back, who seemed to take great delight in trying to rile up our fans when his own team were getting beat. Tony Watt taking the Harry Hunt out of Brown was a joy to see...as was the Aberdeen fans punching each other about the South Stand. An absolutely brilliant 90 mins at Fir Park.
  3. I'd be amazed if it wasn't a h*n that managed to dream that bit of patter up...considering how pish it is. And for the record, I sat behind the bold steelboy at the last match and he was like a new man...didnae moan once
  4. Very much so...it might also allow woolery to have a shot at being an impact sub
  5. If he picked Barrow over us, then you've really got to question the boys judgement
  6. We literally have no idea if Sondre is any better 'than what we have'...I cannae believe someone is suggesting that he is most definitely is
  7. I don't know if they would or not, but it's an easy excuse if there is a real lack of entertainment
  8. Great to get the 3 points but that style of fitba won't get the fans returning game after game, as it was absolutely horrific viewing. On paper, I think we have a reasonably good squad, certainly good enough to compete with shite like Dundee, but I think the formation we continue to play is hindering us. Watt is worth his weight in gold for us, he will never be a 20goals a season man, or even 15, but his work rate and his game intelligence is excellent...I'd have loved to have seen him getting more time with Van Veen, as I fear that Justin and Woolery will never do. Lamie and Ojala are doing the basics right and in Kelly we have a great keeper at our level. The midfield is still disjointed, I thought slattery showed glimpses of his talent and hopefully Goss can add to that as I believe that Grimshaw is never a starter for us in any position.
  9. Was his name not Gotts? Maybe someone getting mixed up with Goss?
  10. Really poor today but I'm still not prepared to hit the panic button just yet
  11. When Lamie just concentrates on heading and tackling he is absolutely fine, he had a good game today keeping it simple
  12. I think we need to remember that the team are still coming together...that front 3 have never played together and Slattery is only playing his 2nd game up here, and playing beside a guy who has had a full year out on the treatment table. I wont be making any judgements until we've played at least 10 games. In contrast, St Johnstone have a settled side and theyve been settled for years now. Wotherspoon, Craig, Davidson, May, OHalloran , McCann all played for them for years and theyve a very settled defence as well. Won both cups and just took a draw away to galatasaray...they're a good side. That said, I hate the formation we play, 3 up front with no real width and players that dont look comfy playing wide of a striker...the midfield 3 are so narrow and that will only work if the full backs are competent going forward...which I'm not sure they are.
  13. He is rank rotten and always has been...Lamie was up there as man of the match for me
  14. I'd be amazed if we sign another central defender... ...Mugabe, Lamie, Ojala, OConnor, Devine are all centre backs to trade...and we also have Donnelly, OHara and Maguire who have player there for us before
  15. Dunne and Main playing for St Mirren...absolutely honking game of fitba
  16. Exactly this... ...I'm not fussed if its him or not, but we clearly need more 'options' at the very least. The front three were out on their feet and GA was very reluctant to bring the two guys you mention onto the field.
  17. Shields is still to come back in... ...but aye, the lack of options off the bench today was probably what lost us that game. No harm to Lawless or Amaluzor, but I dont think either are of the desired quality
  18. Far more positives than negatives from that game today, I dont think we deserved to lose. One things for sure - we are going to be an entertaining team to watch if we go about our business like that throughout the season. The referee was pish...but Kevin Van Veen wisnae, what a player we have on our hands, some of the stuff he was doing was absolutely ridiculous
  19. Yip...very strange stuff. He was a smashing player for us, scored some very important goals, never threw his toys out the pram looking for a move, got us a bit of cash when he did, speaks highly about the Club...and then boo'd off some fucking weirdos.
  20. A few contenders for me, but fuck sake, Kevin Van Veen is some fucking player.
