I said at the start of the season that AJ should get at least the first round of games before any discussion about his future should start and we’re now at that point so I’ll give my initial thoughts The European games went well on paper and folk can argue that we went toe to toe with Fieberg until the sending offs but in reality we were out played and were only in the games due to excellent defensive work and luck - especially in the second game where we only equalised thanks to their keepers howler. League cup - enough said League - Poor performance after poor performance sprinkled with moments of optimism. Some of the things that have happened are outwith the managers control, blunders and injuries - the loss of Priestman and Koutroumbis downgrades the team so far this season (the loss of Lowery and Fadinger today) means he hasn’t had a full squad to pick from yet - and players loss of form. Other things are within his control, selection, set up and substitutes all of which have been suspect at times. Would a change now be the correct way forward? I’m not convinced so I’m prepared to wait another 6 games or possibly until the end of the year after midweek before pulling the plug on his tenure. In the meantime the board should be looking around for a plan B.

I watch English games on a Saturday night in the pub or if I’m at home as well as Sunday and Monday night games along with the bbc coverage of the Scottish championship on a Friday if I’m home, me complaining is a bit of a cheek so I’ll just have to accept it.

Going to disagree, ball comes off his hand and is deflected for a corner. Dundee players in the middle denied a chance if the ball had gone straight - I’d be raging if we didn’t get a penalty from that situation.

Not disagreeing with your points but I’d like to think that the WS board is well aware of the report and the Motherwell boards position/plan going forward through the two board members on both boards who’s job it is to represent the WS and keep the WS board informed of club issues. If the Motherwell board has decided not to make a statement on the future then I’ve got to think that they have not made any decision yet and when they do they will communicate it then. I don’t think they are hiding anything and yes I’m very interested in hearing what the report says but we do need to trust both boards to be doing the best. As for the seating, I’d be amazed if the two WS board members haven’t brought this up at a board meeting as this would be the place for it to happen and they then report back to the WS board - if there’s been one since they were installed. People don’t like it but these things take time and move as slow as treacle more often than not.

Strangely I’m disappointed that we never managed a goal today, I don’t know why but I thought we’d have made a decent chance and scored but hey ho we move on.

Rangers, like Hearts and Celtic to a lesser extent, are all teams that now I feel we have a good chance of taking points off over the season, whether it’s today or the next meeting I’m not sure but I do expect us to give them a game and I know their fans will be worried about losing as much or more than us.

Reading the above couple of posts my views slightly different on a couple of things, firstly, yes we’re a fan owned club but the society doesn’t run the club - that’s the job for the Motherwell board and if they got involved with everything folk on here wanted them to it would be bedlam and the club would suffer. secondly, just because the board had a feasibility study done they don’t have to make it public. No doubt it involves costs for rebuilding Fir Park against building a new stadium but the board, in my opinion , should have to weigh up the pro’s and cons of that, look at financing both options (if both are still viable) and then arrange for the financing of both before they make any public statement on them. At that point I’d expect the Well society to then ask for input from the members - but not an immediate vote on what opinion to go forward with, more a soft survey on members preferred opinions and willingness to help financially if required, as I believe both the board and the society need to be in step with this or we could end up financially screwed. The same thing goes for the seats, we’d need to know the costs involved not just in capacity reduction and financial layout to change them but for fan safety. I’d like for an independent safety risk check done which might advise removing them or stop selling hot beverages in the POD to mitigate the risks or something else entirely like removing seats to allow for extra walkways which would obviously reduce capacity as well.

The important part is that he laid the ball on instead of trying to take on the Dundee Utd defence himself.

Watched the game at my hotel (internet better in reception area) about to say the same thing and I’m one of his critics for constantly ignoring better options - happy with his performance tonight.

Although I don’t sit on them I’ve looked at them and they do seem poor but I wonder what the difference is between them and the ones in the Fieburg stadium is as there wasn’t much space for passing and I seen one guy trip and fall into the row in front.

I agree that there’s a player in him but he needs to find him. Unfortunately I think that when the Aussie season starts again he will be off, why would a team take him just now and pay wages for a couple of months that they don’t need to?

Wilson isn’t “hanging about” as far as I’m concerned, he’s a valuable squad player who can cover for injuries or suspension’s and come in when others tire or the defence needs added to during a game. I really don’t get this obsession some people have to get him out the door. OK he needs to improve a bit to be a first pick player but he’s still a useful player to have and could still become a first choice player in time.

Miovski hasn’t fitted in at Rangers and I don’t recall him being a player who works hard when his teams out of position - although I could be wrong - so Im not sure about him.

Does anyone know what happened with him at Leyton? Signed 2026 and only played 8 games.

The guy is a team player who works hard it’s only when he gets into the final third he becomes selfish as shown on Saturday and previously this season when he could have played RCC in. Whether he moves on or not the advice id have for him is the you can be an 18 goal and a couple of assists player or a 15 goal and 10 assists player that will get you noticed and appreciated more.

Agree with the above comments but let not also overlook the incompetent defending, selfish play and poor game management that allowed them back into the game.

Despite my poor internet connection, Lowry looked class and if TJ wasn’t such a selfish wee git he would have had a goal.

Watched the game on a terrible feed which kept freezing in a hotel room so when it happened in the 93rd minute I switched off the tablet, got ready and went out for the evening, WTF? Was my thought when I just checked in on here. Happier man now

In seasons past we’ve been more that helpful with letting team break/make records - hopefully that’s in the past.

Like most I was hacked off when the guys with the flares appeared and at that point I thought they weren’t involved with the block e guys as the guys with the speakers got out the way as if saying we’ve nothing to do with this but when the second solo flare was used after it burnt out the guy dived under the cover of their flag and they assisted the guy to change without being identified so there was some cross over between them and as such any retribution handed out by the club is their own fault.

Allegedly the arse cheeks pay for their fans damage.
