  1. They've decided to use it to re-referee games, which is what happens when incompetents are given a new toy to help them. In my view, VAR is a useful tool for helping officials judge offsides and goal-line issues, but that's about it. Football is a contact sport, so players will often barge and tug and tackle and nudge, which always looks bad when slowed down and shown to some overpromoted prick who's never played the professional game themself. And players know this, so they either exploit it or are undone because they forget it exists. It's a farce and it's ruining the spectacle. People will stop going to games because the spontaneous joy has been sucked out of it.
  2. We should have done that or shut up shop. Instead, we did neither, which was as predictable as water is wet, and we have to question why these disappointingly predictable outcomes happen. See also the Morton game. An answer could be poor management and a weak-minded squad, although I'm excluding the attacking players and tactics from this view as it was good the most part yesterday. Another answer could be bad luck, but that would be too kind. Another answer could be the lack of an on-field and off-field leader, which I think is probably about right. We don't seem to have anyone on the park capable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck or anyone in the dugout capable of making effective decisions when the tide turns against the plan or the going gets tough. I'm sure others will also have answers to this.
  3. I think you've failed to understand my sarcastic comment or read my previous posts on Elliot, as I know he isn't fit because he hasn't played since summer and is, therefore, likely a project. Who's the ignorant dumbfuck now? Not me. My view is that a January window is for signing starters (like defenders) to help a struggling team immediately. It's not a time for signing projects, or unfit and injured players just because we can. Also, take your personal abuse elsewhere and bile yer heid while you're at it.
  4. We did sign another RWB in Callan Elliot. Oh, wait…
  5. Hearts won't start this game in as much disarray as Aberdeen did tonight, so it'll likely be at least three gift-wrapped goals for Hearts and who knows how many for us. I honestly can't predict it.
  6. It wasn't me who compared him to Woods. I called him a cowardly lion. I've also criticised the defenders for being weak and the rest of the team for allowing balls to be shelled into the back three and keeper. Watch his body language and reaction after he makes a mistake, such as an easy goal being scored against him or he fucks his distribution. He rants and raves and moans at everyone and the sky but himself. That is not a captain. He needs to be accountable, or the players will (and have) lose respect for him.
  7. Correct. Echoes my previous post.
  8. That's true, except Butcher has returned and is half the player he was, McGinn is a little out of sorts on the left, Casey seems to be playing second fiddle to Mugabi because perhaps still unfit, and whatever defenders are picked have to defend with a cowardly lion behind them anyway.
  9. The positive from tonight is that Bair is great when we're playing attacking football that suits him. He'll score many more goals with assists from the likes of Gent and Spittal. Vale also looks to be a great find and was unlucky not to score tonight, but I'm sure he'll score several for us. The less said about the defending and goalkeeping, the better.
  10. Most of us were calling out for a commanding centre-half to be signed during the transfer window, but, instead, we signed umpteen full-backs and Shaw, with some of them barely featuring or not at all yet.
  11. VAR may be a scourge on the game, but we've only got ourselves to blame tonight.
  12. Allan Campbell still warming the bench for Millwall as they continue to be shit.
  13. Given how we capitulated after being 3-0 up, I'm happy to take the draw, but that's two massive points dropped.
  14. Kelly booked for timewasting. He's truly pathetic.
  15. Don't be silly. Kettlewell wouldn't drop a ball that was on fire. You could also argue that the shite back 3 has no chance when the rest of the team allows balls to continually be shelled into the box.
  16. You'd think so, but according to most on here, he has enough draws and good performances under his belt to suggest he's the right man for the job.
  17. Another weak goal to concede. We've absolutely shat the bed and it's not a surprise in the slightest.
  18. I was quiet for the majority of the first half because I was enjoying the really good attacking game we were playing against a bomb scare formation. It's now halftime and the situation isn't worth praising. Grow up.
  19. Time after time, I can guarantee that Kettlewell still won't drop any of them.
  20. The tide has completely turned due to an experienced manager having the tactical wherewithal to change things and ours again having the inability to react to affect any sort of meaningful change when the tide turns. So predictable.
  21. It's either going to be the best or the worst £13.99 I've spent.
  22. Our leader is our cowardly captain. Therein lies the problem.
  23. It's certainly our best tactic because we cannot defend our box or keep the ball out of our net.
