Where’s his supporters tonight?! He is a terrible football manager.
-
Everyone and their dug predicted that performance and result today, and it’s exactly why many of us chose not to waste our money.
-
Out of the Scottish Cup again and looking like we’re going to start dropping down the league table. Caldwell needs to get rid of Kettlewell now before he’s allowed to further run us into the ground.
-
The signs were there last season that fans would have to endure horrendous spells of form and disappointment under this current regime, but the Board at that time were too busy plotting how they could get rid of the club to the lowest bidder instead of getting rid of Kettlewell and Daws.
-
Kettlewell being booked yet again proves yet again that he is terminally unable to learn from his mistakes. He is an idiot.
-
The glaring issue is Kettlewell. Why anyone would want to give him yet another transfer window is beyond me. We’re being completely outplayed by the team at the bottom of the league, yet it’s somehow totally unsurprising.

There’s no need for censorship, lad. A fans forum has space for opinions and facts.

Kettlewell didn’t single-handedly turn Biereth into a €13 million player, although his ego may tell him that.
-
I was being sarcastic. Don’t you know that I’m Kettlewell’s number one fan?!
-
Everyone keep calm, Kettlewell knows what he’s doing.
-
Dundee fans generally seem to be gutted about losing McGhee and they think that he’ll likely join us this window rather than in the summer.
-
This injury saga can't all be down to bad luck. Some of it has to be down to poor recruitment, poor medical decisions, poor management, and someone casting a hex over Fir Park.
-
With McGinn unfortunately now knackered, I imagine Kettlewell will see SOD as cover in the RCB role. However, with Koutroumbis either being shite or broken, another versatile right-sided defender is a must this window to get us to the end of the season.
-
Kettlewell is almost 2 years into the job and currently into his fourth transfer window, yet it’s still not clear to me what type of team he’s trying to build. Other than the often-cited hoofball tactic, and considering the ‘entertainment’ on show across the past 2 years, this Motherwell team lacks any sort of notable style or identity.
-
I must commend you on the fine job you’re doing in your role as Kettlewell’s PR manager.

This graphic shows that we consistently concede more goals than we score in the opening 15 mins of the first half and same again in the first 30 mins of the second half. We’re also the worst team for it in the first 15 mins of the second half. A few more interesting patterns can be seen for us and others, but these are clearly the most concerning stats for me. They highlight that we do generally set up to be passive, at the start of both halves, and aren’t very good at it. This approach isn’t entertaining and, based on these stats, it means we’re likely to concede more than we score by the end of the season. https://x.com/scotlandscoeff1/status/1878778263897538800?s=46&t=wehikD-exiutCByWu64YEQ

Send him back home to ML1, s’il vous plaît.

I’m a season ticket holder and have been going to home and away games for 30-odd years, but you’d have to pay me to go to this game. Given the likely outcome, it’s just not worth my time or the expense. I can’t be arsed watching Kettlewell’s crap project likely do nothing other than surrender possession and try not to lose to the worst team in the league. That said, I can only hope I am wrong to give this one a miss, but that’s what happens when fans become disillusioned with having to tolerate a crap manager.

The sooner the powers that be at individual clubs as well as at the SPFL and SFA realise this, the better.
-
Forever suffering like a true Motherwell fan.

The technology has rarely ever been the problem, it’s almost always been the idiots tasked with using it. For example, a surefire way to make a dangerous driver more dangerous is to give them a faster car. The answer surely lies in investing in improving the drivers instead of spending that money on giving them faster toys.
-
If true, that’s no great loss. Casey tries hard and often puts his body on the line, but those attributes are replaceable at this level, and let’s not forget that he didn’t want to be here in the first place.
-
The sooner the club realises it can maintain its top flight status as well as go on the occasional cup run and qualify for Europe perhaps 1-2 times per decade, without the need to employ the likes of Kettlewell, the better. Make no mistake, fans of a club like Motherwell will accept defeat for as long as they can see that their team attempts to win games and gives them something to look forward to each week. Instead, performances under Kettlewell are generally uninspiring and predictable - in both winning and losing - and that’s entirely on the manager. Football is an entertainment business at the end of the day, and fans will begin to speak with their wallets if Kettleball is what they continue to be offered every week.
-
Although I agree, and I maintain that he should’ve been gone by December 2023, there’s absolutely no chance he’s getting fired if we get knocked out of the cup against St Johnstone. We’re more than likely stuck with him until we find ourselves at grave risk of relegation sometime in the near future.

Any other manager dealt an injury blow like Kettlewell has had would surely switch up their system to better accommodate who remains available. Whereas Kettlewell continues to fudge square pegs into round holes and persists with the most obvious busted flush of a system we’ll ever likely see. He only has himself to blame in that regard.
