  1. That's a decent draw and we should be looking to progress without any major hiccups....
  2. I’m taking about the new Board and the new Chairman’s plea to fans. The previous Board never listened to the fans and look where that got them. I also imagine it was only a handful of fans and the compliant media calling for Wright to get the gig a few years ago.
  3. Yep. If the new Chairman’s message is for fans to ‘stick with the club’ then perhaps he should listen to the fans desire to cut the bloated squad accumulated by Kettlewell and the previous Board.
  4. The optimism I had for a rejuvenated squad for next season has basically evaporated with the departure of Wimmer and that underwhelming GTF list.
  5. Yeh, the under discussion list is concerning and leaves little room for improving the squad should they all accept new deals. We could potentially find ourselves in the position of the new manager having to accept last year’s stale turkey.
  6. The GTF list is here: https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2025/05/28/2024-25-end-of-season-squad-update/
  7. I think it was me who got a rise out of my bait.
  8. I see the superiority complex and cryptic style of some continue to be boundless.
  9. VAR ruining the matchday experience for longterm season ticket holders is likely a main reason.
  10. How about… ‘The club can confirm that Ahmet Koc has/has not left his position as assistant manager’
  11. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ahmet-koc/profil/trainer/34902
  12. Even with a renewed Executive Board, it seems the Club hasn’t learned its lesson on improving communication with the fans on basic yet important issues.
  13. Ben Banks confirms that Koc is still in the building. It’s quite ridiculous that this info didn’t come direct from the club when they announced Wimmer’s resignation https://www.glasgowworld.com/sport/football/motherwell-fc/motherwell-confirm-first-summer-transfer-seal-deal-months-talks-5147637
  14. It was previously published on 24 May 2024, 31 May 2023, and 20 May 2022, so there isn’t really any pattern to it. To me, the silence on this issue, in favour of other announcements, is a little concerning. You can add the lack of info on Koc to that concern.
  15. He also struggled to find some humility, which was a contributing factor to his downfall. For the sake of his career, he really needs to temper his ego and develop better self-awareness. Otherwise, the negatives will continue to overshadow the positives, and the Killie fans will show him the door soon enough.
  16. Wimmer instigated the deal before he buggered off. It would also be nice for a current squad update before the club starts announcing additions to the squad for next season. Or is that too much to ask for?
  17. And here’s another link that might be of help to some:
  18. At least Kettlewell to Killie will keep this thread entertaining all next season.
  19. Whoever the new manager is, I hope they’re a fan of the back four. And I’d fully expect Johnny K to start the season as the first choice RB, providing he stays free of injury. He’s got a year left on his deal and has a lot to prove. He deserves that chance. Edit - no idea why we’re talking about Johnny K here. He’s our player.
  20. I’m fully on board the MVDG train purely to see him parking up his Lamborghini at Dalziel Park.
  21. They better not do a Kettlewell mk2 here.
  22. To negate the need for a huge squad, we should probably start to sign utility players who can cover multiple positions. Eg. Jordan McGhee. And then focus on signing quality over quantity, with a sprinkling of youth players as extra cover. You’re right that it’ll take (at least) two transfer windows to sort this squad out. Some updates from the club on the managerial and squad situations next week would be welcome.
  23. You’ve clearly lived a very sheltered life if that’s your take here. People should always look after number one; not their boss or anyone else. Integrity means nothing in the context of commitment to your employer vs that to yourself or your family. I do what’s in the best interests of me and my family over what’s in the best interests of my employer, but that in no way means I am negligent or shit at my job. To the contrary in fact. I’m as pissed off as you are about Wimmer leaving, but life isn’t as black and white as you seem to be suggesting.
  24. What about these colours for the new away kit? 🇩🇪
  25. I agree. I don’t think anyone can ever call such appointments a mistake, although there should be recognition that there is a big element of risk involved, but that’s football. And that risk has unfortunately come to fruition. On your second point, I would say that he absolutely took the job knowing it could be a short thing for him to boost his CV. We’ve all done it. I’ve moved to a new post, promising them at least 3 years of service, when I was absolutely planning on using it to get me into another post elsewhere as soon as possible. It’s annoying when it happens against your interests, but it’s normal. Next…
