That’s because Stama, the only fit centre-forward option, appears to be a dud. Even before Sule got injured, I was stressing that a further signing in the centre-forward department was essential. One positive is that Maswanhise offers a general attacking and goalscoring threat, and perhaps Just does too, though to a lesser extent at this stage. Beyond that, our only other available options are Said and Ross. We urgently need to sign a proven striker who can deliver, so I hope JBA has a rabbit ready to pull out of the hat.

Sixth would be a good outcome, but it will take a few more signings. The real challenge is sustaining the high-intensity style over a full season, which is never easy without real squad depth.

Robbo will have them out to kick lumps out of us. If we move the ball quickly enough to bypass that, we should be fine.
