  1. Some spin from Miller. Assist of the season.
  2. Very unlucky with the offside goal, but I fear we’re going to regret not capitalising on the opening 15 minutes when celtic were posted missing.
  3. What's the story with Allan Campbell? I've noticed that he's not even been on Millwall’s bench recently. I also know they've been shite and sacked their manager.
  4. I would happily double/triple my monthly direct debit to the Well Society, but they've never asked, although I think the time is now for them to do so. If we want tangible change and improvement, we and they need to act.
  5. To counter that, I would say that the club has been struggling because of Alexander's appointment and tenure. And, as much as I don't rate Kettlewell, I would rather have him than GA.

    Club AGM

Some people tend to fall upwards.
  7. A sensible commentary on why a fan-owned club must communicate properly with its fans.
  8. Mika scored and was subbed after 65 minutes, but not before some quality play-acting and missing another chance. Max is playing as RB in a back four, but I've turned it off as it's a dull game in general.
  9. I don't think it was deliberate, but this mistake/oversight/whatever epitomises the disconnect felt between some fans and the club. It's not good enough at all. The WS Board was also unsighted, which seems bonkers. As you indicate, it all feels a bit rudderless and has been for some time, and because of that, it feels like we could be walking into a significant point in time with our pants at our ankles due to not having a permanent CEO in place beforehand. It may all be okay in the end, but the journey has been a bit of a mess, which may disenfranchise/disengage many fans. For me, I've never felt so much personal disconnect with the club or apathy towards it as I do now, and that's a real shame. We're (currently) a fan-owned club and should expect so much better in terms of the absolute basics.
  10. Some fans often state that they think the club is being run by a bunch of amateurs, and those views are often rebuked and rightly so, but this significant failure in basic communication (deliberately or otherwise) is evidence enough to demonstrate amateur hour at its finest peak.
  11. For me, it's not the fact that players and the manager have extension clauses written into their contracts that can be and have been triggered, it's that the extensions haven't been communicated once triggered. No wonder fans are continually annoyed by the club. It's happened with SOD and Kettlewell, and probably others, and will likely happen with Obika now as well. I think it's reasonable to say that fans shouldn't have to wait until AGMs for this basic information to be communicated to them.
  12. It seems like he needs the wee calf.
  13. It was a tongue-in-cheek statement, but do tell me some more facts about professional footballers while I've got your attention.
  14. As I've said in previous posts, we need to move beyond the loan market and see it as a bonus, not a core part of our strategy. I understand why we've had to rely on the loan market recently because we're in a mess, but this type of thing (e.g. Biereth, Shaw, Buyabu) happens when a club have an overreliance on players who aren't their own. I hope the lad is okay, but I would also have fucked off for 'personal reasons' if SOD was selected to replace Gent ahead of me.
  15. Random, but why not... Oxborough Devine McGinn Blaney Buyabu Davor Spittal Miller Gent Bair Vale
  16. Providing the Well Society retains no less than 51% ownership, I'm pretty much open to any ideas at this stage.
  17. We've no divine right to beat Livi. They finally got points against the team in fifth yesterday. As you say, it'll be a huge game for both teams.
  18. Well Well, well, we have a bigger doom merchant than MJC 😉
  19. I agree with the old-school approach in these scenarios. Shankland (and players like him) should be swarmed upon during set pieces into our box, and it can be done without fouling. It's that simple. Being proactive in defence is often easier than being reactive.
  20. Fair enough. On Paton, however, he's already missed a fair few sitters, so I think any criticism would be merited. He does many things well, and I can see why Kettlewell picks him for that, but his end product is often rotten.
  21. Inherited or not, the buck always stops with the manager in football. He's also had two transfer windows to address the inherited problems you mentioned.
  22. Disagree. Every point is a prisoner, so we should be going for them. That doesn't mean we will win, though.
