For me its all about consolidating our league position. That means try our best to get a top six spot. We might not get it, but lets make sure we don't get dragged into a relegation dog fight. The next step is do our best in the cups. Semi Finals and finals bring money to the club. We are already doing well on that stage. Then when the season is over we then look at building and improving the squad. I think the top six will probably be. Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen and then its a fight between us, ICT and St Johnstone to get that final spot. McCall needs much more time before he can be judged. So far he has done OK. Nothing special, but given time he might be able to build this team into something. We also forget how young our squad is sometimes.

Why not blame the players? They never seem to be at fault. Always the manager.

The link with McCall, Bradford and Law might sway this in our favour. Probably thinking that playing for Motherwell and doing well will give him much more media attention and a potentially bigger move. Mind you I could be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

I always felt recently that Reynolds was the weak link against Hibs. As soon as he stepped on the pitch against them his game fell apart. It was almost like a mental block and he forgot how to defend. With Hutch in there instead maybe he can keep Riordan quiet as he is the man who will threaten us big time. I think we will win 2-0 as I just can't see where Hibs will find the confidence. they are at an all time low right now and are a stick on for relegation if they can't stop this slump.

You have to remember that guys like Hutchinson, Page, Murphey etc are still very young and Motherwell will not want to risk burn out on these guys so it makes sense to increase the squad size. The Cypriot guy does seem to be a fair bit down the pegging order, but Motherwell might just see him as one for the future as they might with the guy from Madrid.
