  1. Don't think so. I think they will just have Walter Smith and Neil Lennon in a room and asking them who, when and where they want to play their games. Everyone else will then just accept this.
  2. Shite game. Good win. Pass marks to all of the team who gave it their all against a merry band of hatchet men from the East. Levien and Houston should be hung drawn and quartered for their crimes against football. I actually feel sorry for guys like Goodwillie. Bags of talent but forced to chase longs balls into nowhere and stuck up from with a total haddy in John Daly. Goodwillie would be amazing in our team.
  3. From the sounds of it McCarthy has been a revalation down at Wigan. Rumours are he is Arsenal bound very soon. McFadden - done well, but not as good as I felt he could have done. Murphy. Still a long way to go before he can play regularly in the EPL. He also needs to bulk up slightly.
  4. Over the 90 minutes we were the more comfortable. Apart from Daly’s excellent bicycle kick and the ‘nalty they didn’t have a decent attempt at goal. We on the other hand must have got well into double figures in terms of chances. I though Blackman and Humphrey were superb throughout the whole game and gave their defence all sorts of problems. One thing about Humphrey is I feel his corners are a bit hit and miss. I would prefer to see Hateley deliver the corners as I feel he is much more dangerous. Murphy and Gow I felt worked well up front and Gow just seemed to be trying too hard. He had some excellent touches and I think once he gets a bit of match sharpness back he will be a great player for us. Think about it this way he has not had 90 minutes of game time for us yet, but has had a hand in three of our goals. Not bad at all. If scouts were there to watch Murphey then they will be going back with glowing reports. His movement on the ball is sometimes stunning. Defence-wise – apart from the from the usual lapses in concentration from Reynolds and the usual howler from Craigan we were pretty solid and Hammell has become Mr Consistency. As for the Saunders v Hateley at right back. I would say that Hateley shades it just, but it’s a decent position for us to be in having to good right backs at the club just now. Oh and Lasley was immense until he went off. Also remember this is a Dundee Utd side who hadn't lost away (apart from the OF) for 18 months.
  5. Humphrey is no where near the Scotland squad at the moment, but if his game continues to improve then you never know, but right now there are many players ahead of him. Would like to see Murphey get a chance, but I think he will need to maintain his current form all season and maybe get 15 plus goals. An achievable goal I think, but if he does then the vultures will be swooping in the summer. Clarkson and McCormack had great starts in England, but seem to have gone of the boil big time. Its a shame as both looked like they were on the verge of breaking into the International scene on a regular basis.
  6. Any stato know how many goals he has setup for us this season so far? From memory I am thinking about 5, but can't be sure.
  7. It was fucking raining, the grass got wet and people slipped on it. Fuck me sideways!
  8. I concur, my pie and broon sauce was excellent. Not too fatty and a nice crisp pastry.
  9. If we end up like a stadium like New St Mirren Park I will be devestated. Lets look to Europe for inspiration. Specifically Norway please!
  10. I thought over the 90 mins we deserved the win. St Mirren had a few chances either side of half time, but never really put us under any sustained pressure. We on the other hand had a bout 35 minuts of constant presssure, but just couldn't get that second goal that would have killed them off. Gow did make a difference. He ran the line with intelligence and was in the right places at the right time to get us the goals to win the game. When fit I think he could be a real asset. Great start to the season and hopefully thats the 'home hoodoo' of our backs. St Mirren were not as bad as I thought they were going to be and in fact their better players were the guys they signed from Cowdenbeath. Also the boy McGowan looks a decent player. They just got punished by make school boy errors which we pounced on. With Hibs and Hearts looking pretty average this season and Aberdeen in the middle of a terrible injury crisis then this could be the time to put a bit of a gap between them if this run continues.
  11. If Murphy continues to progress the way he is then he is destined for the big time. Humphrey has been our best player this season so far.
  12. Another interesting point to note is that our defeats were as follows: Celtic x 3 Odense x 2 Dundee Utd x 2 Hibs x 1 Falkirk x 1 So since Brown has taken over we have only been beaten once by a team who finished below us in the SPL. Also I noticed we have actually been beaten 9 times not 8, but two of them are in the Europa League.
  13. Just did a bit of digging and this is Browns record for every competitive game we have played under him: Played: 32 Won: 16 Drawn: 8 Lost: 8 Thats a fantastic record.
  14. I understand that, but I feel people are harping on about these three home games too much. There were very valid reasons why didn't win them and its not like we have been thrashed in any game this season. I am sure Brown and Knox don't want us to play the long ball tactic, its just sometimes you have to. Especially if the other team puts 5 centre backs into the squad. I feel we are a very effective team and when we go a goal up seem now to have the ability to catch the other team on the counter attack. Apart from the Hibs game we have been very good at that this season. The St Mirren game will be a good indicator to how far we have come this season I feel. If we can get a good result as the favourites then it will do the teams confidence the world of good.
  15. We can't really complain at all. Since Brown has been here we have had a very good record in the SPL when you take into consideration the size and age of our squad. By all accounts it looked like we played Hearts off the park with a mixture of good passing football and fast counter attacking. As for the home games, well the Hibs game was just one of those days and I certainly seen enough positives from it. The Celtic game we were just knackered after the Euro game, and we still only lost to a dodgy penalty. I never seen the Aberdeen game, but it sounded like they parked the bus and we couldn't find a way through. Again no much we can do about that. Overall this season our form has been excellent. Hence why we are sitting third in the league. Most other clubs would give their right arm to have Craig Brown as their manager. We should count ourselves lucky that we have him.
  16. After watching Dundee Utd last night I can confirm I am happy with this draw. They seem to be pretty shaky at the back since Webster has gone. Also that boy Shala is mince.
  17. We play better against everyone away from home!
  18. Fix the speakers in the East Stand so we can actually understand whats happening on the pitch at half time would help. Let the guys at the end of the East Stand stand up if they want. I noticed that during our recent game with Celtic the whole of the Celtic support stood for the whole game with no issues. Yet our own fans get contantly pestered to sit down for no reason.
  19. I am going to miss the game because I am going to a shitty wedding in Glasgow. Bastards!
  20. I have spoke to the Taliban about getting some dirty bombs to launch into the away end on Saturday. Its going to be mental.
