I still can't get my head round that transfer. I know its all for the money, but fuck sake! Brighton' At least at Motherwell he was in the shop window and was getting noticed. Now watch him vanish into lower league obscurity.
-
I never liked Klimpl. He was a total bomscare, had a terrible touch, rash in the challenge and his passing was awful. He was never a favourite of mine!
-
Aye the more and more McGhee is away from the club the more and more we are finding out about how shoddy he was in building a future for the club. I still find it astonishing that we had players of the quality of Forbes, Slane, Hutchison and McHugh sitting in the youth teams when we were struggling last season to find any creative outlet in the team. So what does McGhee do? He signs two shite players on loan in Sheridan and Klimple. Madness!
-
Did taking Craigan pay off though? I agree about Sutton, but not sure why he took of Craigan and we were still a shambles at the back in the second half.
-
Well done Hatley by the way. A great debut.

Great day out in Sunny, nope rainy, nope sunny again Perth! First half was a mess. We looked out of sorts and St Johnstone bossed the game. Second half we ripped them a new arsehole going forward and should have got about 4, but alas it was not to be. In defence we were a shambles. I really like Hutchison, but he needs support and he is not getting it. Hatley did really well as a last minute entry, but is not a right back (he is however a very composed and silky footballer) Hammell got riled by the crowd and had a fucking shocker, that loss of concentration was amatuer stuff to be honest - he was excellent against Steaua, but today looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. In midfield we have Coke who looks to be a fucking magic player. Big, composed and his positional sense is excellent. A real find. Forbes is just class in a glass. 4 goals already this season and three of them being the best we have seen in ages. Up front, I was impressed by McHugh, he has strengh and great movement. He will be a big player in the future. The Humph had a good SPL debut and got three exellent balls into the box. Murphy was also full of running in the second half. As for O'Brien I though he played well today. Good runs into the right areas and caused their right back lots of problems, he desereved a goal for his efforts. Not sure about the substitution of Craigan, but taking of Sutton was the right move, he was isolated up front. As for St Johnstone, they will be fine in the SPL - they are well organised and play the ball on the deck when needed, but also have a big team to cause bother in the air. Shame we didn't see Slane today, but his time will come.

So there was a white trialist too?

1-0 Motherwell. -----------------------------------------Ruddy ------------------------------Hutchison---------Craigan O'Brien--------------------------------Reynolds---------------------Hammell -----------------------Forbes-----------------Coke---------------------------- Murphy-----------------------Sutton-----------------------------Slane That team looks shit hot in my book.

Paper talk. Hammell would only go to Dundee for the wage as step down into that league is not exactly a step up, there is no guarentee that Dundee will be promoted. I would be worried if they were in the SPL, but they are not. Gannon will have seen Hammell performace against Steaua and there is no way he will even think about getting rid of him.
-
Would you lot get a room!
-
Shevchenko is avaliable on loan. Lets get him signed up!
-
Rumour kicking about Pie and Bovril that Dundee are going to sign Hammell from us. Seems like total bollocks, but the guy claims its from a good source. I smell shite though.

Early goal and we have a chance, but to be fair they have the potential to score on the break and they have shown how dangerous they are. Still think if Coke had buried that chance we could really have put the frighteners on them. I am just going over on Thursday to enjoy myself and hopefully watch a great game of football - if we go though I will be amazed! Just hope the crowd gets behind them no matter how the game pans out. These guys deserve nothing but praise for the way we have handled this Euro adeventure. New team, new manager, half of them just kids and 11 goals scored - canny argue with that!
-
The Butler? I found myself screaming that in JD's last night!
-
I concur, but give Humphrey time - I think he is nervous - he looks it.
-
He 'looks' quality. He is big, strong and was pretty tidy in possesion against a top quality side. Give him time. As for Humphreys. I think he was just a bag of nerves to be fair. He has a bit of the Jim O'Brien about him, where he has the pace, but no final ball yet. Again give him time and he will come good. Jennings still looked off the pace and needs to also improve his passing, but again you can't really judge these guys against a team far superior to us. I think we are all forgetting how good a team they are. They will get far in the tournament. Its been a great experience for the youngsters and the game at Airdrie will again give them invaluable experience at the top level of football. Who knows a wee early Sutton goal might get them nervous.
-
Well done JD's for putting on a good night last night. The place was packed!
-
Aye he played and he looks like he will be quality. Anyone who judges any of our players on tonights performance should be shot. They were far better than us and that no suprise since we were essentially playing the under 21 squad. The Steaua players recognised this and thats why they applauded them off the park. I have a good feeling about this squad. I honestly believe we will do really well in the SPL this season.

Profile on Gary Roberts Bagged a few goals last season, might be the goal scoring midfielder we need.
-
My Team: GK - Ruddy - Bigger than Fraser so might be able to catch a football = picked! DL - Hammell - Our best left back and has experience DC - Craigan - First name on the team sheet DC - Reynolds - Did well in his new roll, but I think we will need his pace at the back DR - Hutchison - Did well in the centre of defence, but I think he has the ability to be a full back. ML - Slane - Give him the Faddy Role MC - Forbes - Central Midfield slot for the wee man MR - Lasley - Again experience and a bit of dig (If he can be bothered) AMR - Humphrey - Got the pace to cause problems AML - Murphey - Again has the pace to give them problems ST - Sutton - Big Sutton up top with the other two feeding of him With that formation we will get beat 2-1 !!!
-
Magic - see you all there!
-
So whats the deal with JD's - are they streaming the game from a internet site onto the wee tvs or have they got it on a romanian channel? As Mitch says The Joker is getting it on a satellite. Can JD's do the same?
-
The boy has done amazing against some pretty questionable opposition. He looks the part, but lets see how he does against Steaua and in the SPL. If is still performing as well then lets worry about contracts. Still way too early for us to be questioning his future at the club!
-
I am joking my Romanian friend! We can of course be friend but please don't set fire to us. It might be accepted in eastern Europe as rival banter but in deepest darkest lanarkshire it would folly of the highest order! What's Hagi up to? The lovable rouge that he is?
