That statement from the club is rather confusing. If we have enough strips for the squad then fair enought, but is the selling of Motherwell merchandise not only a huge revenue stream for the club, but alos Provan sports. If there are no strips to sell then what happens?

Difference between McGhee and Gannon is that the later seems to know exactly who he wants to bring in. McGhee didn't really have any particular players in mind when he arrived. Also in the later stages of his time at Motherwell he seemed to rely a lot on Gordon Strachcan to provide him with advice and players. Can't see the same happening with Gannon. Also with Stockport pretty much up for sale then he can get quite a few decent players from them.

I think thats a good thing that we have someone with no experience of the SPL. McGhee was rather unkown to the 'current' SPL setup and got us to third. I think being to well known to the Scottish football system can leave these managers rather narrow minded and not able to see outside the SPL. IF it is Gannon then I think from reading the Wiki on him then he will certainly shakes things up and hopefully with his experience on the lower leagues of England maybe pick out a few gems to sign.
