  1. He is, aye. Guaranteed to score isn't he? Remember all those goals he scored against us when he was at Partick?
  2. Ripley Law Kennedy McManus Hammell Ainsworth Lasley Grimshaw Johnson Robinson McDonald Must win. A defeat here should get Baraclough his jotters.
  3. Touch the crossbar without having to jump up.
  4. Craig Samson has been called up to the Scotland national squad on a number of occasions. Has Conor Ripley ever been called up by Scotland? Has Dan Twardzik? Exactly. Great signing.
  5. Can never question Moult's commitment, but he didn't have his best game yesterday. Still done well to be in the right place for the goal. Not a standout in the game at all for us, but would probably give to Ainsworth.

    Jake Taylor

It's been a long time since I've seen a player try so hard to not get involved in a game of football. Horrendous. If he starts another before getting punted back to Reading in January, serious questions need to be asked of the management.
  7. Not exactly an endorsement. Both of them were utter dug shite. Has Fraser signed for West Brom yet?
  8. He's 20 years old and is being loaned to Motherwell. It's fair to say he has no long term future at Manchester Utd, so wouldn't go down the 'hot prospect at one of the biggest clubs in the world' route. That's not to say he can't be a terrific player at our level though. From the brief snippets that i've read so far, I'm excitied to see what he can offer. Could we have finally found a replacement for Steve Jennings that we've crying out for for 3 years?
  9. Also, the BBC Sport website (on their rolling transfer deadline day newsfeed) they have a "Football Manager computer game expert". This is what he had to say on Chelsea's rumoured signing Papy Djilobodji... "Physically strong and good in the air, this limited defender is not exactly a marquee signing and is rated by FM as being no more than a good Championship level player with little scope for improvement. He’s valued at just over £1m and can be bought from Nantes for little over that. In my longest save, he never leaves the French club and never averages over 7.00 in a season, suggesting that Chelsea’s mooted purchase is a little panicky." Absolutely bizarre stuff.
  10. Also heard the Ian Black rumour. On top of that, conversations have been had with Zaliukas' representitives.
  11. I hope we make a bid for him. We could do with another striker.
  12. Not so much 'wildcard' as fucking bonkers.
  13. Nice to have Louis Moult's dad on the forum. Welcome!
  14. I was trying to be generous, but aye, you've nailed it.
  15. Yeah, just watched them myself there. Josh Law's "defending" in the lead up to the first goal is embarassing. Yet another goal from down his side. Needs removed from the right-back slot pronto. He simply cannot defend.
  16. Perhaps. I'd either have him or Marvin Johnson at right back...
  17. To have any chance of a result here, we need to score first. If Aberdeen get in front, they're good enough to see it out, whilst retaining the threat on the break.

    Hearts Motm

Louis Laing for me. I thought him and McManus kept the front two of Hearts relatively quiet, but Laing was the stand out. Neither goal were the fault of the centre-halves. I think the big man will be a very important player for us this year.
  19. That's the key for me. The only player from the young players I'd have in the starting XI is Luke Watt (ahead of Josh Law) and he's currently injured. I remain to be convinced over Dom Thomas.
  20. This. Still not sure if Taylor is playing. He was listed on the teamsheet, but yet to see him...
  21. Appears that the Hearts end is very close to a sell-out. Should be a cracking atmosphere. Looking forward to it.
  22. Ripley was thrown in 24 hours after signing. I'd be surprised if Taylor didn't start.
