  1. They haven't specified an age limit as far as I can see. I'm in.
  2. Is that the problem, or the solution?
  3. I'm sure you are right daver. 2-1 I think it was with Nevin the 94th minute.
  4. Surprised no one has mentioned Gordon Marshall's performance on Skippy Sunday. We really should have been about 5 or 6 down by the time McDonald scored. He gets a bit of stick for his performance in the League Cup Final, but he was incredible that day.

    Mark McGhee

    Aren't they off every Wednesday?
  6. You celebrating McGhee's appointment with a Cappuccino?
  7. Toys are getting thrown everywhere here. Fuck, I think even the pram has been launched in the air!
  8. Yes, but isn't that how it usually works? Tommy Wright has just signed a new 4-year deal, with a nice wage rise i'd expect, for doing nothing other than being wanted by Dundee Utd.
  9. That much we can agree on, but the man is here to win football matches. Do you think there was anyone out there better qualified, who actually wanted the job? Without knowing all of the candidates, the ones that were most linked were Craigan, Valakari and Dickov. I'd have McGhee over those three every day of the week. Why so many fans have taken what he did previously to Motherwell so personally, I don't know. He got himself a better job at the end of the day. You may not like how he went about it, I can't say I do, but we've got two experienced players in our squad who previously left our clubs in not so nice circumstances. Funnily enough, when they show they can do us a turn, all seems to be forgiven. You don't need to like Mark McGhee as a person, but you should be able to realise he has the capabilities to do a very good job for our football club. As for the "heroic achievement" of selling Clarkson & Quinn for £1m four weeks after he quit, do you think the value of the players suddenly shot through the roof by them doing nothing for a few weeks in June? Or was it perhaps something to do with working under Mark McGhee at Motherwell for the previous two years?
  10. Has David stopped greetin' yet? Absolute roaster. Summer of 2009 - our manager left us a mid table side, in Europe, and with a blank canvas for the new manager to build his own squad. Furthermore, he brought in close to £1m in transfer fees from David Clarkson and Paul Quinn. Autumn of 2014 - our manager walks out us hurtling towards relegation, not long after being put out off Europe by part timers, with stalwarts such as Dan Twardzik, Paul Lawson and Craig Reid. Who left us in a 'state' again?
  11. Or Pearson, or McDonald? Fitba' fans are a fickle bunch. A few wins under McGhee and he'll win the doubters over. It's how it works. Eh? What is it with some people demanding statements and the like from the club at every turn? Why would they comment on speculation? When there's something to tell, I'm sure you'll hear all about it.
  12. Craigan will remain in charge for the Celtic and Aberdeen games. Simo Valakari to then take over as new manager, with first game at Rugby Park. Mortgage on it!
  13. Would you describe yourself a glass half full or a glass half empty man Milo?

  15. This is my take on it as well. The Bois that I know of, those in the early to mid-20's, do an incredible job at creating atmosphere and I have never seen any of those lads step out of line, be it at a home or away game. The problem that I see is, the wee kids that associate themselves with them. Those who are anywhere between 13-18, who because they're young kids and no doubt have any sort of responsibilities in their lives, see themselves as invincible and think they can act how they like. They're also the first to cry about it when things go tits up (i.e Tuesday night). As previously mentioned, dialogue will be important here. Not standing in a section for 45 minutes will achieve hee-haw IMO. Self-policing will also need to come into play. Where possible, if any of the older lads see any of the younger ones acting like wee fannies, then get them telt. It's doubtful they'll listen to any steward at the ground, but they'll certainly take note of a fellow fan doing it.

    Baraclough Out

Certainly entitled to their opinion, but for me, this is definitely not a "knee jerk reaction". This has been coming for a while now. Take away the two games against Rangers in May (results for me, which are revered by the fans because of what Rangers used to be, not what they were in May). He's got very little to show for 9/10 months of work.
  17. The people predicting line-ups without Jake Taylor... dont' be silly lads! Fir Park will be a fun place if Partick get the first goal on Saturday...

    Baraclough Out

Haven't had the chance to read through the posts added since last night - what were that persons reasons for wanting the manager to continue in the role?

    Baraclough Out

Yes, I think it's at the point now where a majority want him out. Defeat tonight would see that change to 100% IMO.
  20. He's back in training. He mentioned prior to the Ross County game he's still a couple of weeks away. Whether that's this weekend, the Dundee game or waiting until after the International break, I don't know.

Was he just crap, or CRAP?
