Having watched the YouTube video, I'm assuming it was his Motherwell XI that he picked, rather than his career XI? Considering he picked 11 Motherwell players...

    Relegation

The parachute payments do still exist, although i'm not 100% sure if the figures quoted are still the same. If they are, then a possible relegation is certainly not as catastrophic as it once was. Looking at crowds, I wouldn't envisage the home crowd going down too much, if at all. Those who go and see Motherwell just now, will still go, whether it's Aberdeen or Arbroath we are playing. As for the away end, it's not as if the likes of Falkirk or Dumbarton are going to bring any less than Ross County or Inverness. You'd also have at least 1 big side down there (Rangers or Hibs).

    Mfc Podcast

Looking forward to the pre-season Podcast special in July, live from Portugal. 45 minutes of Sparra, Jay & Busta being put through their paces, and giving their thoughts on their morning game of FootGolf, with special guest Mitchell van der Gaag.

I sincerely hope you are not "terrified" about what may, or may not, happen in the future of MFC.
  5. 12 points from the final 5 games will be enough to avoid the play-off, IMO. I think one of County/Thistle/Killie will crash and get 4 points or less in the games remaining. Whether we are able to get those 12 points, is up for debate.

    Baraclough Out

I was one of those very vocally against Baraclough a couple of months back, but credit to him, he's getting there. Not there by a long stretch, considering we're still in the relegation play-off spot, but getting towards where he wants us. The difference to our season has been the introduction of Pearson and McDonald. That extra experience, and quality, has been crucial. Without it, we'd be down on a similar points tally to St. Mirren at the moment. Kudos to Baraclough for unearthing players such as Laing and Johnson, as well as giving the time and patience (somewthing I was wavering on) with Lee Erwin. It would be interesting to know who signed Pearo and McDonald though? Was Baraclough aware of them beforehand, or did perhaps a director or a GM point them in his direction?
  7. Tommy Coyne was an absolute genius. What a player. My favourite ever Motherwell player (it will take something pretty bloody special to change that) and my childhood hero. Being 28 now, I only wish I was older when he played for us, so I could've appreciated his time with us more. I always see fans talk about the Coyne/Coyle partnership. He had a great one with Dougie as well. Always loved the throw-in routine they had. TC would come short to collect, throw a dummy, ball would run through to Arnott who would lay it off to Coyne who'd spun round the side.
  8. Pearson got the 2nd, and McFadden scored a free-kick to make it 3-0 IIRC. Gordon Marshall was in goals for Killie, i'm sure.
  9. Only got an account with SkyBet so on Motherwell to win @ 11/1. Also, a fiver on McDoanld to score anytime & Motherwell to win @ 28/1.

    Baraclough Out

For the list of comments that Grafter posted, I believe the culprit for that one rhymes with Kraser Ferr. And yes, he certainly looked "out his banger"
  11. "A right-back might be going to prison" Ah well, at least we've narrowed it down to at least 8 suspects... As for the game itself, I'm away on Saturday and won't make it, however, if we lose, Baraclough's time is up IMO.

    Baraclough Out

Wouldn't be difficult. Tell me, are you happy with the job Baraclough has done so far? Do you feel he is the man to lead the players away from the relegation zone? If you are, and if you do, I believe you are in a very small minority. Please, before you reply, spare me the chronic "so who would you have instead" patter.

    Baraclough Out

Time is something we do not have. Stick to talking about Bradford Park Avenue.

    Baraclough Out

Nail on head Bop. Exactly my feelings on the whole sorry affair.
  15. Forgot about Pearson! It's good though we now seem to have a bit of competition for places. It's been a long while since that's been the case.
  16. So, providing all new signings are good to go for the Ross County game, we could be looking at a starting XI of... Long Reid O'Brien McManus Straker Lasley Grant N. Thomas Johnson D. Thomas Sutton Some difference!
  17. Well, there's now no question this is Baraclough's side. He's got his players in. It's now time to deliver and get us the results to move us up the table. After a very poor January, results wise, it's good to see the confidence of many returning.
  18. Let me be the first. He's a cracking keeper on Football Manager!
  19. Just popped up recently on Twitter. Also on BBC Sport.
  20. Kenny McLean about to leave St Mirren for Aberdeen. A boost for us? It'll certainly weaken St. Mirren.
  21. Start the lot of them tomorrow. We might have half a chance of a clean sheet.
  22. If it involves getting a left-back and possibly a winger in, 100% yes.
  23. Two questions... 1) What are the Society doing to encourage non-members to sign up? 2) How does he feel about being overlooked for the jolly to Barbados?
