You're setting your sights too low Aidy. If we can round up 500,000 Well fans, then we only need to chip in £1 each. Nae fuckin bother!

Happy feckin days!! Surely to Christ the Scottish Cup Final will be contested between 2 of Rangers/Celtic/Dundee Utd/Hibs. Surely!! Even though the safety net is there for 5th place, the target is now 3rd place. However, if after 38 games, we're in 5th place, that will still be a fucking unbelievebale achievement considering where we were 9 months ago. Credit must go to everyone within MFC for the way our season has went, even Jim Gannon! Viva Motherwell!

There is no argument to be had weeyin. You originally stated that "Reynolds is better than him" when talking about Titus Bramble. You stated that like it was a fact. Fair doos, you cleared that up in your next post. Given the choice between Bramble & Reynolds in the Motherwell defence, I would go for Bramble. IMO, he would stroll through the SPL. Like someone said, it's all about opinions. Obviously my opinion differs from yours. Finally, yes the St. Mirren game on Wednesday was indeed pish!
-
Aye that's it, Reynolds is better than Caldwell. The same Gary Caldwell who's won SPL titles, played in the UEFA Cup, Champions League, has numerous Scotland caps, and only a matter of days ago had Fernando Torres in his back pocket. Away ye go. If you geniunely believe that Reynolds is better than Gary Caldwell then so be it. that's your opinion. I think we'll just need to agree to disagree on that one.

Glad to hear this news. He's been playing really well over the last couple of months. Strong in the tackle, rarely wastes a pass, great player. Let's hope he gets signed up for another couple of years.
-
For Azerbaijan maybe. Not Scotland. You must have some fascination wi the boy. I'm not knocking Reynolds or saying he's a bad player, however, he is simply not good enough for the Scotland team at this moment in time. He has the potential to be a Scotland player in the future, but are you telling me Mark Reynolds is in your top 2 Scottish central defenders? Gary Caldwell Stephen McManus Christophe Berra Andy Webster There could be more, but those players are currently better than Mark Reynolds. He might overtake the players mentioned in the future, but at this moment in time, Mark Reynolds is not "certainly international class" Take off the C&A tinted specs.

Ruddy Hateley Craigan Reynolds Hammell O'Brien Lasley Jennings Coke Sutton Jutkiewicz 1-0 'Well. Jutkiewicz
-
Is Mark Reynolds better than Garry Kenneth? Yes. Is Mark Reynolds good enough to be capped for Scotland? No, not yet. To go back to the Hammell debate, I can't believe some people are having a dig. Should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Consistently performs at SPL level to a high standard. Another thing, when was the last time he missed a game through injury? Always seems to stay fit.

Fuck it. Im getting more confident as the day goes by. St. Mirren 0-4 Motherwell (Sutton x2, Murphy & Jennings) I really don't like St. Mirren
-
Can only echo what others have said in this thread. This will be a very tough game. St. Johnstone have performed very well this season, certainly took me by surprise as I thought they would struggle. If we can get 4 points from the next 2 games, i'd be delighted. That would virtually guarantee our Top 6 place, and keep us in the hunt for 3rd/4th place. We'll start off the double header with a point in Perth. St. Johnstone 1-1 Motherwell (Sutton)

Agree with GazzyB's post 100% I think when Reynolds moves on, he will become a much better player. IMO, he has his best games against the better teams in the league. Barring his error in the recent Rangers game, look how well he's coped with Boyd & Miller over the last 18 months. If Mark can shine at Championship level over the course of a couple of seasons, i'd be happy for him to be in the Scotland squad.

Frazer Wright is a mutant. Fact!

2 points to that man! Can't believe people got worked up over that. The papers will fill as many column inches between now and Sunday with as many Celtic/Rangers stories as possible, which will lead to a few left field transfer stories. Between now and the start of next season, Celtic and Rangers will be linked with about 7000 players, just so when the papers actually get one right, they can "exclusively reveal" that "we told you first!" missing out the fact that they also got the other 6999 completely wrong. Pricks!

On-loan Santos forward Robinho could be a summer transfer target for Motherwell (Lotta Shite News)

Agree with the team MFC suggested. This is the game to get Humphrey on from the start. Have Lasley & Jennings as the holding players, and have Humph & JO'B running at them on the wings. Harsh on Jamie Murphy, but the Juke should be in if he's fit. Although Killie have picked up under the two Jimmy's, this is the type of game we should be winning if we're serious about being a Top 6 side. Prediction - a couple of early goals on the way to a 3-0 win. Goals from Sutton, Jennings & Jutkiewicz.

Don't want to be too harsh but he's at his level. Will NEVER cut it in the SPL on a regular basis. The next Kenny Wright
-
To be fair to Buzz, he was a very good keeper for Motherwell and gave us 4 years of good service. The thing is though, I think the SPL is his level, which has kinda been proved since he never even lasted a season in League 1. He's a very solid SPL keeper. No more, no less. Ruddy though has the potential to go very far in the game, the Premiership should be a realistic target for the big man. I think that's why the fans are so excited about him and rate him highly, you could say most of that is based on potential ability (albeit his current level of ability is already fantastic) The one thing I do notice when i'm at games between Ruddy & Smith is the size of them. I was always nervous when balls were played in the box when Buzz was there, but just looking at the sheer size of Ruddy gives you that confidence and ease. I remember the first game I saw Ruddy play, the Steaua home game, it just seemed strange seeing such a man mountain in goals after years of keepers like Woods, Goram, Kaven, Smith, Meldrum etc. Is the Ruddy the best we've had? I would say it's too soon to say yes. He's on his way, if he stays another couple of years, then I have no doubt that he will be.

Also, if we did make the top 6, you would expect that the other one to join us along with the current top 4 would be Aberdeen or Hearts. Which team would you prefer? Aberdeen? We would have another game against them and another chance to get it right up that fat arrogant c*nt McGhee. Also, we could laugh at the ehhh.... fat arrogant c*nt Jeffries being back to where he belongs with his beloved dirty Jambos. Or Hearts? A day oot at Tynecastle is always a good one, plus the look on the coupon of the aforementioned fat arrogant c*nt McGhee as "bigger and better" Aberdeen play 5 meaningless friendlies while the super 'Well challenge for Europe would bring a smile to my face! A toughie indeed!
-
For me, our challenge for the rest of the season should be to get into the top 6. Forget about Europe for now. If we make the top 6, then we can have a go in the remaining 5 games. If i'm being honest, I don't think we'll make Europe. We've been on a great run over the last 6 games, but we could easily go on a shite run over the next 6 games and find ourselves 7th or 8th. That's just the Motherwell way! I think to finish 6th would be a fantastic achievement after the highs & lows since the end of last season and it shouldn't be considered some sort of consolation prize. Just don't want the fans expectations to go too high.

So it should go to HOTD because you don't agree with what he's saying? Aye, very good. I thought these forums were all about opinions. FWIW, I don't agree with Frazzle's assessment that Reynolds is "murder". However, I do think he is overrated and the "golden boy" of an elemnent of the Motherwell support. IMO, without his pace, he'd be about as effective as Wullie Kinniburgh. I mean he is poor in the tackle, his distribution is as poor as Craigan's was/is, and his positional awareness is shite (his pace gets him out of this though). The only area in which he has improved in the last couple of years is his aerial abilty. I know in the summer he'll be in the last 12 months of his deal, so if we can get £500k-£600k for him, i'll thank him for his service and i'll even drive him there myself.
-
Jim O'Brien for me. Thought he was fantastic throughout, never gave the Rangers defence any peace. On the few occaisions that Rangers put on some pressure, he was always the out ball and he'd take it a run. Special mention for Stephen Craigan, a very close 2nd. Superb performance! Long may that continue.
-
Im no havin that. With 10 mins to go the ball and the ball lands on your 6-yard line, I don't care if Ruddy + 6,000 people behind him were shouting for the ball, you boot it to fuck! You can argue who shouted for it when it's in Row Z, not in the back of the net. Reynolds' error for me.
-
We'll play really well. They'll play really shite. 2 scrappy goals from Boyd & Miller. 'Well 0-2 Rangers
-
Same starting XI as the Aberdeen game. Confident of a victory on Saturday. 2-0 'Well. Sutton & Jennings. Have we ever achieved 5 league clean sheets in a row?
