No wonder we lost. The Ref looks younger than ANY of the players! Hardly oot a nappies....
-
Result - Motherwell 3 Rangers 4 aet. Motherwell led 3-2 until 2 mins from the end. Apparently a great cup tie though.
-
Couldn't get up there today, anyone know how it went?
-
Fitzy came on yesterday and hsi no-nonsense attitude cleared the lines a few times in tricky circumstances. Very much an unsung hero.
-
Man is in form right now, five goals in the last six games is a terrific strike rate.
-
We went 8 league games unbeaten after the 5-6 Aberdeen game at Fir Park, though we've some way to go to beat the best in recent memory. 15 unbeaten at the beginning of season 1994-95, GingerEck's first in charge. That run came to an end amidst a very, very soggy December day against Aberdeen at Fir Park.
-
Noticed the squad out having a look at the "pitch" after the game today. I've rarely seen it so bare, and that includes even when we had the problems of last year. Good luck tomorrow guys, go get the win you deserve.
-
We are now seven unbeaten in the league, 4 wins and three draws. We haven't shown that kind of form since, I make it, 2003-04 when we went seven league games unbeaten after that dreadful cup tie at Forfar.
-
Clarky won my vote. Tireless today.
-
Their manager is a hoot, accusing Klimpl of running around pushing folk over and not getting booked, and saying the Ref gave them nothing all day! Ackids Irrespective of the performance, we won which, in the league, is the most important thing. 3 Points is three pionts after all.

The news seems to have taken quite some time to reach Hamilton......... Death of ex-Motherwell player Feb 12 2009 by Andrew McGilvray, Hamilton Advertiser FORMER Motherwell FC star Charlie Cox died aged 82 on December 15 last year following a lengthy battle with A|zheimer's. Charlie will be best remembered for his key role in Motherwell's inaugural Scottish Cup win at Hampden in 1952. The cultured wing-half started his playing career with Yoker Juniors before being picked up by Hearts in 1944. Seven years and 155 competitive appearances later, Charlie was transferred to Motherwell alongside team-mate Tommy Sloan for a combined fee of £6500. Charlie formed a formidable partnership with Andy Paton and Willie Redpath, and reached his peak as Motherwell beat Dundee 4-0 in the 1952 Scottish Cup Final in front of a post-war record attendance of 136,274. The nephew of Motherwell and Scotland star John Blair, many believed him worthy of international recognition. However, he never achieved this. Injuries were to plague Charlie's final years at Fir Park and he left Motherwell in 1958 after playing a total of 89 league games for the club. Charlie married Betty in 1953 and they had three children, although son Euan died two years ago. Charlie is survived by Betty, one son and a daughter.

RaShellic Shellic fans aint happy. Remember also, when you read the "colourful text" these are the "fans" who claim the only bigots are across the city. Course, they conveniently forget they regularly charge way over the top for inadequate views from inadequate seats.... IS BOYLE A BANKER? ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM GO TICKET PRICES By Mal Content Timdom is today pondering whether Motherwell chairman John Boyle received lessons in honesty, honour and integrity from HBOS's Lord Stevenson and Andy Hornby or RBS's Sir Fred Goodwin and Sir Tom McKillop? The establishment will give any Tom, Dick or David a knighthood these days, eh? Earlier this season, John 'Zoom' Boyle pledged to reduce ticket prices for Celtic fans (and h**s) for matches against Motherwell at Fir Park, the Motherwell chairman insisting Scottish football is too expensive and O** F*** fans are being exploited. From the BBC in October: "Motherwell chairman John Boyle claims Scottish football is too expensive and Old Firm fans are being exploited. And the club have announced ambitious price cuts to make attending live matches at Fir Park more affordable. "Motherwell and other SPL teams have been abusing the fierce loyalty Old Firm fans have for their club by always charging premium prices," Boyle said. "I've been very worried over a number of years about the price of football to the average fan." The Lanarkshire club plan to reduce the entrance to home games involving Celtic and Rangers to £15 for all adults. The number of Old Firm supporters travelling to Fir Park has dwindled in recent seasons and the price reduction represents a £10 saving for most fans. "I've noticed over the last few years that attendances when Celtic or Rangers visit have been slipping and slipping," Boyle told BBC Radio Scotland. "When I took over at Motherwell 10 years ago you were virtually assured a full house. We're now not getting anything like that. We have empty seats. "We have assumed for too long that we can charge whatever we like and Celtic and Rangers fans will turn up - that simply isn't the case, and acutely isn't the case when financial circumstances are like they are at the moment." "Celtic and Rangers bring no children to the matches because they get very few concessions," Boyle continued. "We're only going to charge their fans £15 to get in - which will be the cheapest they've ever been charged - and if they bring a kid along they'll only get charged £10. "It means if you were bringing your son or daughter along to a football match you previously would have been paying £50, now you're paying £25. Now the effect of that is fairly dramatic." BBC ends. Not as dramatic as 'Zoom and Bust' Boyle's reneging on his pricing pledge as the dishonourable wee scrote, having allowed the h**s the benefit of reduced ticket prices, now pumps the costs back up again in time for Celtic's visit to Fir Park on the 22nd February. It is being claimed Motherwell lost £25,000 in gate receipts when the h**s were the visitors to Fir Park for the 0-0 draw in November, so Boyle wants to make up the shortfall by returning to the good old culturally traditional days of ripping off Celtic fans. It'll reportedly be £27 per ticket for Tims - and not the £15 the h**s paid. Today the Daily Mail reports: "Chairman Boyle was last night on holiday and the club refused to comment. Fans of other SPL clubs pay £22 for an adult ticket at Fir Park. The £15 adult price for last weekend's Scottish Cup tie at home to St Mirren was agreed by both clubs and drew a crowd of 5,695." It's up to each and every Tim to decide how he or she wishes to react to Boyle's blatant rip off. Grudgingly pay the man or tell him to GTF, don't go and giggle as his poxy wee "family club" suffers the financial consequences.

1659 is a starnge number for seat allocation, isn't it? Glad we've had the Shellic game moved now, Saint Mirren requested their game at FHW be moved to Sunday and, surprise surprise, the SPL refused!
-
I'd be surprised, and very disappointed, if it were true. Just can't see it myself.
-
Can they refuse us playing Sheridan? After all, he is now cup-tied and it's not the league? Anyways, let's get by Saint Mirren. And we can. And we can beat Shellic. Why the heck not?
-
I think........ Falkirk v Aberdeen or East Fife Motherwell or St Mirren v Airdrie or Dunfermline Celtic v Forfar or Rangers Hamilton v Inverness
-
I think we should cheer him on come Saturday. That'd really screw with his mind.
-
Forfar - Rongers is off. Draw now tomorrow at Hampden.
-
With their new ground having absolutely perfect grass on it, we should be able to pass our way into the next round in the replay. Bizarre tactics today, start with the right mix in the replay and it's there I'd say.
-
S'funny, I was on holiday that day too and in a pub in Hammamet full of Shellic fans. Was far from comfy at half-time, but you should've seen me do lap after lap when Kinni scored. They didn't celebrate much when they nicked the equaliser, more a muted cheer. After all, we won the second half every bit as easily as they'd taken the first!
-
He'll be heading up to Station Park to see his real team tmorrow now. Git.
-
I know, Forfar are quite hard to beat at home.........
-
Had a wee chuckle when I saw that! Go on QP, take them to a replay!
-
His first goal since 29 Dec 07 I believe? Let's go for it, get through!!!!
