  1. Hamilton now ahead. Come on 'Well, intae this fecking lot!!!!
  2. Snow, if any is left, will soon be gone. Worst through east, radar is indicating the worst is well over.
  3. Up at Tannadichie in 93-94. Week after Freddy's nightmare when we won 2-1 with two classic oggys, it was the cup and the place was jam-packed. They still used the wee terracing bit in front of that "main stand" of theirs, and you literally couldn't squeeze a fart out there were that many of us in there. So you can imagine what happened when John Philliben smacked home the equaliser in the 92nd minute, we all went absolutely loopy. Best celebrations I think I can ever recall!
  4. Well, if I tell ye a brass monkey was caught running down our street after a mugger who'd nicked it's baws, you'd get the idea........ It's nippy. Just about -1C. Last night was -8.2, that's the coldest night for over a year. Solid, penetrating frosts past few nights but I'm certain the balloon (or Jim Traynor) was keeping it warm.
  5. Haunting is when someone scores against you regularly. Mehmet haunts with his looks. Hamilton does it with his elbows.
  6. I remember when Foran scored the pen for 2-0 and all around were convinced that was it. When they pulled one back, you just knew it'd go to extra time. Anyway, if you'd know we'd nick it right at the end sure we'd all have taken that. Made for a very, very nervous last half-hour, but ultimatley worth it and one of those magical nights you won't forget.
  7. Aye, this season in the game's we've played them for once we've looked the better team, especially at their place. That in itself was something we've not been able to manage, and I'd say we will have more than enough to take care of them. The style we've been playing since we beat Invershneckie has been back to our best, or not far short of it.
  8. I'd start with Sutton simply because he deserves the chance. Gave Malcolm backing in a 'Well jersey, I'd do the same for anyone who wears it. The club is always bigger than any player.
  9. Good to see the covers on. Worst of the snow is possibly still to come, be interesting to see if it makes it this far south or fizzles out like the front did earlier.
  10. We'll be fine at home. We've just played on the two perhaps worst pitches in Scotland inside 60 hours and came away unbeaten. Leave the worst one, Hamdpen, until 30th May..........
  11. Snow coming this evening and overnight. Hope the covers are on.....
  12. Seems he suffered a bad one in August. And, again, is highly-rated.... FORGOTTEN man Semih Aydilek will be hoping to reboot his Blues career on Tuesday after being stopped in his tracks. The striker earned admiring glances in the reserves last season, and then began to make a name for himself in the UEFA under-19 qualifying tournament. Aydilek, who was born in Frankfurt to Turkish parents, suffered an injury blow and has only just returned to the fray. "Semih played in the qualifiers for Germany, as did Krystian Pearce for England in the summer. "His name in Germany, and in those qualifiers, was high profile because he had suddenly come onto the scene, did well, scored goals, and they got through. "He then went on the training camp to prepare for the finals and in the last week he badly injured his ankle ligaments. It was a severe tear. "So, from the end of the summer, right the way through pre-season, he has been nursing the injury." Horst Hrubesch's side went on to lift the trophy in the Czech Republic in May, but Aydilek, a tall, left-sided player, had to concentrate on getting fit at Wast Hills. "He played 45 minutes at Kettering in pre-season, 70 minutes at Bromsgrove and he's getting back to what we want," said Westley. "He's ready for a game. You would expect him to play against Crewe on Tuesday for the reserves." Westley's contacts tipped him off about Aydilek, who was persuaded to leave Eintract Frankfurt and join more than a year ago.
  13. Aye, okay, doon aff yer horse. Simply not agreeing with it would've been fine. Just thought it sounded a decent idea for those who couldn't go. Nae need to go OTT with a response!
  14. Anything I've read on this boy seems to be very positive indeed, making Aluko look more like The Flask to be honest. Hope that's true!
  15. Polmont's idea on the other thread is a good 'un. Make any unused Inverurie tickets valid for this Saturday's game by way of compensation. Surely that's sensible.
  16. Think we could start a groundswell on this one, that's quite an idea..............
  17. To say they were brief highlights was an understatement, still, nice to see them. I think no-one seriously expected it to be a double-figures job tonight, perhaps 5 or 6 at the most so fair play to Locos for playing some good football and making a good game of it.
  18. It's home, home, home until the very end of the month. Considering how bad Shellic are just now, and we are playing well enough to be confident of the other two, we can do the biz. The old level heads and taking each game as it comes will, of course, be crucial.
  19. Could you imagine 10/5 across the board for this one? Big, big crowd for sure.
  20. Had a chuckle at that myself. Bet those two FHW tits in the commentary box were taken aback by it!
  21. Typical FHW view on the 'Well. Robertson accusing anyone of dishonesty? Ya cheatin toss!!
  22. Job done. 3-0 comfy. Next.
  23. Ah've been there. Near Marmaris is it not????
  24. Good on ye Murph. Can't believe the co-commentators, kick the ba' oot when we had a chance?
