Inverurie Weather Station here...... Weather

Right from when I first started to follow Motherwell, they have always been at it on the park, and off the park there have been a good few occasions to reach the conclusion they are FHW. More than once their fans have damaged my car when trying to get away from Fir Park, including once damaging the exhaust.
-
Nothing wrong with our goal I think. Their manager admitted as much, saying he thought his man "wasn't strong enough" or words to that effect. Our goal was absolutely fantastic to be honest, superb team work.
-
Apparently on BBC Alba this weekend, still can't find official listing though.
-
Cut out FHW? Nah. Cannae do that. It's too fitting!!
-
The FHW fans should've just left at that point. It's hilarious to think that he was their hope for rescuing a point from tonight.
-
Man's coming good now he has a run in the team and is getting sharper.
-
I went for Klimpl. Just shaded it from O'Brien I thought.

Got this off Sporting Life. Lazlo really is a sore, twisted arse of a loser......... McGHEE HAILS HITMAN PORTER By Gavin McCafferty, PA Sport Motherwell manager Mark McGhee joked that Chris Porter's price had risen after the English striker consigned admirers Hearts to defeat at Fir Park. Porter headed the only goal of the rearranged Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash as he finished off a flowing 11th-minute move. Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo had revealed on the eve of the game that Porter was on his list of targets, and the former Oldham striker showed why. McGhee, who has dismissed the prospect of Porter moving to Tynecastle, said: "Hearts haven't come in for him. "I would imagine if they wanted him before tonight, they will want him after tonight. But his price has gone up as well. "Chris Porter has been playing very well in the last couple of games. "Since David Clarkson came back in the team, he looks as though he has got a partner he knows he is going to work well with and he looks as if he's enjoying it. "The build-up play for the goal was inventive and more like what we expect. "It was good play - a good ball in resulted in a guy in form getting a good goal." McGhee added: "We conceded a few wide free-kicks and corners in the second half that gave them the opportunity to get a goal. "Even though we dominated the play, 1-0 is always a dangerous score so I was glad to get to the final whistle." Csaba Laszlo has made no secret of his desperation for added firepower as Hearts went four consecutive matches without a goal. But he was angry with all his players after they failed to trouble Well keeper Graeme Smith or create a clear-cut chance. He said: "It was the worst game I have seen from my team. I don't like talking about my opponents, but it was a very, very bad SPL game. "If the two goalkeepers had taken the day off, you wouldn't have seen anything. "Okay, the opponent won 1-0 but this goal came from nothing, it was not a chance. It was a cross ball and Robbie Neilson had the ball on his head and lost it. "The last four games we have not scored. In other games we have created chances but not this one. "This was not Premier League football, this was low-level football." Porter's name is among about 25 on the list of strikers Laszlo has given to majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov, and he admitted he is envious of McGhee for having such finishing prowess at his disposal. "This is what we don't have at the moment," he said. "We don't talk only about this one name, but you can see what's wrong in the team." Porter, who has now scored eight goals this season, limped off five minutes before the end but he later revealed his groin injury was not serious.

Have to be delighted with that tonight really. Rarely felt under threat at all from FHW at any time. After we scored we could have and perhaps should have put the game to bed, but they carried little threat and didnt' deserve anything. Despite the assistance from the Ref and linesman, who refused to pull them up for constantly stealing 10 yards at EVERY throw-in, we got our tactics spot-on and were worthy winners.
-
Porter won't go there. Not unless he is a complete fool, and I'm sure he's not. It'd be down South if anything.

It's funny what it says on the Inverness fans website. One quote on the Cowie story...

I'd be very confident hte game will be on. No way would MM allow them to train on it if it wasn't. As for the game itself, we can win this. Really impressed with some of our play on Saturday, they are definetly beatable. I know we have our dodgy moments too, but there now seems something back there now that was missing until just recently.

Absolutely delighted to see Stretch on his way back. He was really coming back into things when he was assaulted (no other word for it) in pre-season. Hope he is back to his best, deserves all the luck going.

We are now beginning to play a bit again, and defend too. That handball not given is all the more galling when you see the one Manure got today in the FA Cup. Ball hit the guy on the top of the shoulder and they get a pen, yesterday the ball and arm are in complete contact and it's ignored. Incompetence at the highest level.

Completely blootered in Utrecht, the night before the game a group of us descended on a pub and drank it dry almost. Just cannot remember anything other than trying to "obtain" a couple of bikes for the journey back to the hotel, failing miserably, and falling (about 6 of us) into a taxi. Quite a night.

Inverurie Loco's game at home to Nairn County was called off today, once again a frozen pitch the cause. Forecast looks like it won't be as cold so if they get the pitch covered at night and allow it to be exposed during the day, it could well slowly thaw out and be okay by next Saturday.

Tell you what, that's what they call a Managerial impact!!!! Fantastic result for Davies and Forest. Bye-Bye Hughes I'd say.
-
Got to be happy with that, and by the way we've played today by all accounts. Bring on FHW, we can take them!
-
I remember that day very well! Especially the guys nabbing the slates which used to be the way of making subbies, and a female plod chasing through the crowd to get them back! Then the players tentatively making their way up the rickety stairs and onto the front of the "main stand". The only stand, and that was pushing it in terms of description.....

Bit more on McGhee's plans, and another trialist.... Motherwell manager Mark McGhee is looking at two trialists after moving quickly to replace loan goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen. Birmingham youngster Artur Krysiak is expected to join the Fir Park club on loan until the end of the season. McGhee has also extended the loan spell of Maros Klimpl, while trialists Simon Elliott and Byron Webster are hoping to win contracts. Krysiak, 19, made four appearances on loan at Gretna last season, including one in a 3-1 defeat to Motherwell. The Pole played two games for York in August but a dislocated finger cut short his loan spell. He then played two games for Birmingham's Coca-Cola Championship rivals Swansea in October. Krysiak should replace Nielsen, who returned to Blackburn this week without making his Motherwell debut, on the bench against St Mirren in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League on Saturday. Former York defender Webster, 21, is contracted to FK SIAD Most but is free to move following their relegation to the second tier of Czech football. McGhee said: "We've been training indoors and it's difficult to asses him but he will stay here a bit longer." New Zealand midfielder Elliott, 34, is a free agent after being released by Fulham in the summer. The former Los Angeles Galaxy and Columbus Crew player made 13 appearances for Fulham shortly after joining in January 2006, but he has now not played first-team football for two-and-a-half years. Meanwhile, McGhee is pleased to have Slovakia international Klimpl on board until the end of the season. The 28-year-old's debut was delayed by almost three months due to an ankle problem after he signed a loan deal from FC Midtjylland in August. But he shone in a holding midfield role in Motherwell's 3-2 win over Inverness last Saturday. "He did well in midfield," McGhee said. "The great thing about him is that he can give you the option, he can play in midfield or at the back. "It's important in a small squad that you have players with versatility." Meanwhile, McGhee is happy to leave the recruitment of a potential new goalkeeper to specialist coach Colin Meldrum. Motherwell are understood to have shown an interest in Linfield and Northern Ireland keeper Alan Mannus, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Well could need a new number one, with Graeme Smith yet to agree to extend his deal beyond the summer. "We are always looking for good players," McGhee said. "It might be that we find a better goalkeeper than Graeme Smith. "We are always entitled as management to look to improve our team, so that's what Colin will be doing."

Woo-Hoo!!!! 14:51, January 2, 2009 On-loan defender Maros Klimpl has extended his loan deal and will stay at Motherwell until the end of the season. The 28-year-old Slovakian international is currently on-loan from Danish side FC Midtjylland and his deal was set to expire in January but Motherwell boss Mark McGhee has opted to retain his services. Klimpl took a while to settle at Fir Park Stadium, with injuries restricting his appearances for the SPL side. However, it now looks as if those problems are behind him and he is expected to retain his place in the starting line up when Motherwell travel to St Mirren on Saturday.

Oh, yeh! 5th May 1997. 22nd May 2005. Just for starters!

There are several ting in our favour that I can see. Their Manager has just been given Manager of the Month. They've won four-in-a-row and are due a shiter. It's a big occasion, their last game at Love Street and these things have a habit of knackering up. And we are beginning to look a lot better, if still not right at the back. But the biggest plus is this - the game is on our favourite channel, BBC Alba!

Dortmund was kinda the same. Constant singing before, during and afterwards, to the extend the home fans just didn't have a clue what was going on - we'd lost and were still supporting our side!
