'Mon the 'Well Shirt. Title's all ours surely!
-
Aye, the wife and my wee lassie felt compelled to vote as well

When's full-time on this one?
-
Helps if you have more than one e-mail addy to register as well............
-
Even 12.30 and the 4pm, that'd give the first set of fans time to disperse as the game would finish around 2.30, and most crowds don't begin to gather until around an hour or less before a game, a good half-hour after the first game had been completed. 'Course, then you'd be doing Tayside's finest out of Sunday double-time...........

SFA Cup Competition Rules - 28..... SFA

Mark appears to have gotten rid of previous trialists fairly quickly once it's obvious they are no good. However, the fact he's given Webster more time (not withstanding the weather etc) suggests he likes what he sees.

Still 18 days to go in the transfer window (5pm on February 2nd). Bags of time, and even if you have a hit-list of 50 players, perhaps their clubs don't want to let them go...or they don't want to leave.

Monday night's forecast looks a tad hairy just now after the latest run of computer models. Worth keeping an eye on the weather!

It's a Motherwell song. It' IS good!
-
Nothing extreme forecast in the next 10 days for that area. Some light frosts, but nothing out of the ordinary. Game looks set to go ahead I'd say.

Ah remember that! We won 2-1 at Fir Park, was talking to Walker (he was a subby) during the first-half as I stood watching the game over by the disabled enclosure (they days we could, there were about 3 Brechin fans in the Main Stand). He kept asking me about the Clydebank score! We won the league away to Forfar the following week....

If Dundee United get by East Stirlingshire, then I imagine they'll cover that one live.

It's funny that Gaelic for Referee is Reitire. They really should, that's for sure........... On another note, putting the game onto tape/DVD is a nightmare. BBC Alba didn't change their advertised schedules, so it was just as well I SKY+'d all the programmes for last night. The game is now in about 6 or 7 different segments!

Gotta be happy with that draw to be honest. And I wouldn't rule out, once we see off Inverurie (and with all due respect, we simply should), the opponents being Brechin City. That's a dire place to play is Glebe Park, Saint Mirren won't like it one bit.

Both Hibs and ourselves are nothing like the teams who met a t Fir Park a few horrible weeks ago, we've got better and they have slumped back to complete unpredictability. As for United, they have been playing well but, like ourselves of a couple of weeks back, giving away some really soft goals. Hamilton went up there and almost won, they have been winning but not massively. It'll be tough, but it's not beyond us - and we are long, long due a result against them. Remember how we hammered them at the start of the season, but they escaped with a point?

That's a bizarre picture on the front of their website. It just looks like a large space in front of a factory, not a football park at all.... Home page

Think it's hard to argue against Ports and Clarkson up front as the best option we have. Sutton is handy to come off the bench, but not better than they two and therefoer not worthy of a start I feel.

Read this on the BBC. May have been posted elsewhere, but I didn't see any explanation as to why we have to wait until a week on Wednesday..... Scottish fixtures hit by weather The Scottish Cup fourth-round ties between Forfar Athletic and Forres Mechanics and Brechin City and St Mirren have been postponed. Both pitches failed Saturday morning inspections and the games will now be played on Tuesday, 13 January. In the Third Division, Annan Athletic v Albion Rovers also fell victim to the freezing weather. Following Friday's cancelation, Motherwell's cup visit to Inverurie will now be played on 21 January. Inverurie had borrowed frost covers from Aberdeen, but Harlow Park was deemed unplayable the day before the scheduled tie.

25 th Jan 86 Motherwell (Kennedy) 1-1 Brechin City - 2648 11th Feb 86 Brechin City 1-1 (Reilly) Motherwell AET - 1056 12th Feb 86 Brechin City 0-2 (Doyle, Wright) Motherwell (at Tannadice) - 1156 These were the results. I recall we played the third match at Tannadichie. Fourth round we won 2-1 at Alloa before losing to Dundee United 0-1 at Fir Park in the Quarters. Strangely, there were 100 more folk at Tannadice than Glebe Park despite the game taking place the next evening! From 'Well Again.....

I would agree. Rarely has 90 minutes flew by so much, and, despite a lot of goalmouth action, it was a good game. And a fine performance.

He clearly shows how long it's been since FHW's players have been paid. Scruffy chunt.......

Saw this in the P&J. Surely tongue-in-cheek from the local bookes....! Cup fever grips as town turns red and black Temperatures may be hovering around freezing, but excitement is reaching fever pitch in the Garioch as Inverurie Loco Works FC prepare for a weekend clash with big-name visitors Motherwell. Businesses at Inverurie are flagging up support for the Highland League team by painting – or at least decorating – the Aberdeenshire town red and black. No sooner had local traders taken down their festive displays than enthusiastic staff teamed up to create new window dressings in the Locos colours. Traditional start-of-year sales signs have been substituted with a showcase of support for the side. Saturday's Homecoming Scottish Cup fourth round tie against SPL outfit Motherwell will see the Harlaw Road ground housing a capacity crowd of 2,500. Yesterday, the town centre was already a sea of black and red. Locos executive committee member Graeme Hay said: "The level of support in the town is fantastic. "There are some 25 shop window displays throughout Inverurie. I am delighted. There is such a great atmosphere already. "The whole town is buzzing. The team will give everything they have on Saturday. They know the whole town is behind them with a show like this." Inverurie Business Association stalwart Allan Booth said: "The match is a sell-out. The club was formed in 1903, but this will be the biggest game the team has played in its history." The television and electrical goods shop owner said the excitement and anticipation throughout the town was "absolutely tremendous". He added: "I think it will be close, but the Locos will just win it. The home support on Saturday will be amazing. It's going to be a great match." Mr Booth's West High Street business has a special Locos team display featuring a shirt signed by all the players. The town-centre tribute is reflected in other windows around town. Inverurie Business Association launched the town's shop windows' support, and will be awarding a prize – a pair of Locos season tickets – to the display selected as best. Meanwhile, the local branch of bookmaker Ladbrokes is offering 2-1 odds against a Locos win.

Cup 5th round day is the only one in the near future.

Could they have not said try Sunday as the weather is improving? Sure we could've waited 24 hours more and the chances of getting the game on, still with a capacity crowd, would've been better.
