  1. Now there's an idea!!
  2. Fantastic news!! An overdraft extension might be needed! We're all going on a European Tour!!!
  3. There will be some that want McGhee away, but I would say most are like myself. Happy for him to stay, but with all the speculation surrounding him and the possibility of him leaving, we need to be thinking ahead. If he stays then great, but if he goes we will have some options ready - at least we should have.

    Dougie Returns!

Great move by the club. Just wish I had waited about booking my 21st now!
  5. I'm still at work Did anyone buy me a bit of turf?

    Euro Away Day

Exactly. Maybe a good idea we're getting a wee bit ahead of ourselves just now, getting an idea of places, travel etc if we only have 10 days to plan.

    Euro Away Day

I really don't think we will see a pitch invasion tomorrow. Not been one for the past 2 seasons, so why would anyone run on now. Especially knowing the damage it could do to our European hopes? I like to think that nobody would want to jepordise us getting into Europe.

I think you're right Frazzle. I'm sure the walk in Scotland is the 4th which would make Ireland's the following week. I would prefer N.I out of anywhere to go, but if it's going to create problems for us getting there and back I'll happily take somewhere in Wales! And yes, a wee bit ahead of ourselves...but where's the harm?
  9. Well said! Fantastic day. I remember a Celtic fan offering me over £100 for my ticket and me telling him where to go. They seriously thought they had it won before the game had even kicked off. Served them right. Don't think I have ever been so nervous in a game that didn't mean too much to us in terms of league position/cup etc. Great memories!

    Euro Away Day

I'm hoping for an away 2nd leg too - my 21st in on the 10th. A win in Europe would be a great present!

    Euro Away Day

Only worry I would have with N.I would be getting there and back being so near the 12th July. Most ferries and planes will be full well in advance for that week, so hopefully if we get there we are away first.

    Euro Away Day

Wales or Northern Ireland would do me nicely. Could probably make it there. Fingers crossed!
  13. I am not spending any money from now until the draw in an attempt to afford this!
  14. Always good to see a result over Airdrie and what a score too! Well done girls!
  15. My best and worst moments too. That save gave us a reason to cheer in Nancy and gave us a bit more hope to take something from the game. Can't actually describe how happy I was with that save - raised all our spirits just when we needed it. If I'm honest, I didn't expect to win at home, but it still hurt, a lot, at the final whistle. Totally gutted, but still proud of the team and all the fans for the great turnout at Fir Park that night. Great scenes and an electric atmosphere.
  16. Working on Sunday, so sadly I'll not be able to make it. Someone feel free to buy me a bit of turf though!
  17. Gordy!! Good to see you join us!!

  18. Agreed Andy. Although I'm not sure if it's the season thats going fast, or I'm just getting older! Definitely been a good season for us, had it's ups and downs right enough - but all part of the rollercoaster ride that is being a Motherwell fan. Sadly, I'll not be at the game on Saturday, but hopefully get a nice wee win to finish on a high, possibly 1-0. Mon the 'Well.
  19. From the Daily Record? Think I'll wait til next week to find out. Then we know it's actually true!
  20. Just read on the newsletter that we have a home friendly with Wigan on 8th August. First game on the new pitch. Did we know this already and I've just not been paying attention? If not, the newsletter is doing well and giving us information first. I think the newsletter is doing well and with feedback from the fans it can only get better.
  21. Got goosebumps reading that Brazilian! What fantastic memories to have. Here's to many, many more wonderful memories just like that Motherwell FC - they're not just a football club, they're a way of life!
  22. I was too young at the time to remember anything about it, only have the dvd and the stories from folk that were there. The stories are all fantastic and to be honest after the open top bus on the dvd, most of it focuses in Girdwoods where their drink was reduced to 1952 prices! Closest I have experienced to a day like that would be the CIS Cup Final in 2005 or Nancy away. Both fantastic days, but I just can't wait to see us lift that trophy. Hopefully not have to wait too long either!
  23. Think the newsletter has been a great idea, but like some have said, possibly in need of more work. I'm sure those at FP who deal with this would be happy to hear any suggestions too - constructive criticism I suppose - to make it better. Especially considering it's us that are reading week in week out.
