  2. I seriously hope they don't, but sadly I think they will. A home cup tie - we need as many 'Well fans there as possible to get right behind the team and help us progress to the final! It already feels horrible sitting in the East and seeing Old Firm fans at either side of you behind both goals. Actually find it quite intimidating. If they do get the Cooper we'll just need to fill out the East and O'Donnell stands and make as much noise as possible.

  5. I know it's disappointing for folk that now can't make it because of the change of dates, but I don't think it's the club's doing. Is it not Sky?
  6. Let's face it. Every club needs to make their money, but at the same time they need to attract bigger crowds for every game. I have no idea about all the financial figures, but if all teams reduced their prices to a fair and affordable amount for fans to be able to go to most games, then surely they would still make their money? Lower prices would mean bigger crowds surely? Price cutting initiatives that Motherwell have done in the past have attracted bigger crowds have they not?
  7. I always used to think he was a 'Well fan too for some reason, but he is most deinitely Celtic. Maybe he wasn't before, but he is now that's for sure.
  8. Agree with you there. I know they'll be trying to make more money too, but at the same time it's not just 15 quid. It's the train/bus/petrol to get there, couple of drinks before or after and maybe something to eat when you're there. Probably looking at nearer £30. Might not seem like much to some, but to me that's a lot for a Thursday night game when like most say, you could stay at home or even go down the pub and watch it for nothing.
  9. How many times did you phone up and vote for him then Frazzle?
  10. It's utterly amazing - not to mention quite hilarious - to think this game finally got the go-ahead on the same day Britain was at a complete standstill after experiencing its worst blizzards for 25 years. According to a fellow Motherwell fan on one of the websites, Blantyre was looking like a scene from Doctor Zhivago and my Plan B-lunch with a pal - had already been cancelled as he was snowed-in on the outskirts of Glasgow.Remarkably, though, a football park in the frozen north was deemed playable ... and the visitors won 3-0. Conclusive proof, surely, that God is definitely a Motherwell fan. From Tam Cowan's column - must be true!
  11. I'm looking forward to the game. Hopefully prices will still be at £15/£10- fair enough I suppose. I'll definitely be making the trip through - should be a good night anyways.

    V Accies

    Now there's a point
  13. My prediction : Motherwell or St Mirren v Aberdeen or East Fife Airdrie or Dunfermline v Falkirk Celtic v Hamilton Forfar or Rangers v Inverness Ideally would like to get Inverness at home I think
  14. Go West still gets played before kick off
  15. Apart from the CIS semi-final, I'd have to say Skippy Sunday too. The whole match was a bit mental - I remember folk shouting at the stewards when they uncovered a Celtic fan in the East Stand! Great atmosphere from start to finish and the celebration for the first goal was mad - the second goal going in the place erupted. Fantastic day! Never forget it!
  16. Aw what a night that was. Just superb! Crazy celebrations - one of the best Motherwell games I have ever been to. Motherwell FC
  17. Could definitely be a very good month for us. Some interesting games coming up and I do think 6 out of 9 points is achievable. A wee win on Saturday to keep us in the cup would do just nicely too! Let's all get down to Fir Park and get right behind the team!
  18. Fantastic day/night out!! Well done to the Locos - there's only one Tommy Wilson!! Great banter on the bus. Getting lost in Marks and Spencers. Walking into the guys toilets. Falling on my arse several times trying to climb a wall. Getting lost en route to the stadium. Ending up in the Inverurie end and having to find my way back to the Well fans. Everyone piling out and pretending to push the bus (what was that about?!) Probably loads more stuff I can't even remember. Meeting more new 'Well fans. A classic Cup day out.
  19. This could turn out to be a very interesting day!
  20. Are we expecting an inspection today then or waiting til the morning? It is sounding hopeful considering they got a game on, but I have said that every other time as well!! Fingers crossed again!
  21. Good luck to him if he does go. Been fantastic for us and great to see him moving on to where he wants to be. Thanks for everything Ports!!!
  22. So the Accies game would be moved to mid-week. Still not ideal, but probably better I think. Cup games should be a Saturday (ideally) and possibly get more support from Accies for a 7.45 k-o than from St Mirren? Who knows right enough.
  23. Thinking it will be the 7th we will end up getting this played. I just don't see it being next Monday or Wednesday. Probably suit more folk for it to be on the Saturday, but disappointing that assuming we go through we will lose the Saturday home tie. I'm guessing the St Mirren game would have to be played a Tuesday/Wednesday night?
