  1. Well done - best of luck for your footballing future!
  2. The month of May is a good one for us 'Well fans. Happy birthday MFC.
  3. What a lovely post. Just had to say that.
  4. My thoughts exactly. Always look forward to the start of a new season, see what players we have to work with as well as the cup runs and trying to get into Europe. New set of away day outs as well! What's not to look forward to?
  5. Would be great to still have McLean at Fir Park next season. Really rate him as a player and deserves the praise he gets as he has worked so hard to get back to full fitness. Speaking to him at the pool tournament, he said he just wanted to be able to play football and seemed keen to stay where he was. Good enough for me!
  6. I now sense we will get into Europe. We'll see how that one goes...but I do believe it! Great win for us today, especially against the Accies. Good to see the strikers scoring too. Things are looking up Motherwell, let's keep it going for next week and hopefully build on it for next season! Mon the 'Well.
  7. Hopefully see another booking free game for us. The team will know themselves to watch what they're doing and did well the other night to avoid cards too.
  8. Agreed. I would rather keep Buzz than Hughes, although saying that I think Hughes has upped his game lately. Definitely deserving of a place in the Scotland B squad. As for Buzz, there are times I watch him with hands over my eyes, but more often than not he puts in a good shift and has kept us in many a game.
  9. I don't see us facing a relegation battle, but never say never. How many of us at Christmas were worrying about our league position? That said, McGhee said at the time he would have us fighting for Europe and he was right. Whether or not he believed himself at the time we'll never know, however the team did fight back, but like Dave says, we haven't stepped up when it's come to crucial games. Hopefully, McGhee will be given some more money, where from I have no idea, but something has to be done, especially if we do end up in Europe and want to progress further than last season.
  10. That's what we like...some positive thinking!
  11. Hopefully get a good crowd there today, despite the pretty steep prices. I sense a wee win for us today. 2-1 with a Clarkson double. Mon the 'Well

Out of interest, has this created a rise in programme sales? I never buy a programme (usually because I read someone else's!) but just wondered if more folk were buying one to see these pictures?

I know that last night, a lot of people I spoke to were unhappy about the price reductions which, as you say, was reducing the value of the season ticket. Bit of a no win situation really for the club - going to either upset season ticket holders or face another low attendance.
  14. I am aware that it's not just bookings that count. And from the table that Huggins has posted - it shows Hibs in 10th position - hence the confusion as to why people think they are our nearest rivals.
  15. I don't get it either. From what I understood, Inverness were behind us, followed by St Mirren....
  16. Talking to a few folk last night at the game, some of whom are unsure whether or not they can afford to renew their season ticket due to unemployment. Got me thinking if there was any point in offering those in that situation concession prices too? Heard that this used to be the case, where you showed a book at the gate ( can't remember what they said it was called ) and you got into the game a bit cheaper. I know a lot of people will be short of money right now, unemployed or not, but just wondered what folk's thoughts were on this.
  17. Despite this season only getting in through the Fair Play system, it is still great for Motherwell to (possibly) be in Europe again for the 2nd consecutive season. When all the factors of the points system of this Fair Play are taken into account, the players, staff and fans have done well to be in second place I think. Didn't realise just how many aspects of behaviour they were looking at and apparently even award points on style of play. Might not be the way we all want to get into Europe, but let's look at the positives and enjoy the ride!

Went for McClean tonight - thought he had a great game.

Can understand what you're saying, but it's a case of 'each to their own'. Everyone has their favourites and for some that was Richie Foran. I have no reason to applaud Foran, same as I don't have any reason to criticise him. Just hoping for a good win for us tonight.

2-1 'Well. Got a wee feeling Foran will score against us...
  21. It's a bit of a strange situation to be in where we aren't really playing for anything apart from to avoid bookings and to behave ourselves. Of course, we want the team to play for the jersey, but if we keep it calm the now - plenty time to show committment when we're in Europe. Which is something, I'm sure, we all want to see.
  22. Paper today - McGhee says he was just resting Klimpl - wasn't anything to do with avoiding bookings and hadn't thought about it til he read it. Aye right!
  23. Fantastic news guys!! Well done!
  24. I have to admit too, never had a problem with receiving post from FP. Always got renewal letters, tickets etc.

Aww that was silly of me.... I could blame the blondeness, but truth is - I'm just plain stupid!
