  1. Mad Maros for me too, great defensively and tried to drive us forward in the closing stages. His booking was a joke too.
  2. It depends a lot on what happens weather-wise in the next 48 hours, and if Aberdeen lend Locos their frost covers. Fingers crossed.
  3. Overall I was happy with our display, played some good fitba and mixed it up as well, making plenty of chances over the ninety minutes. We had some bad luck but did also miss a few chances and our final ball let us down too often. That said I took more positives than negatives from the game, and I expect that if we work on the final ball then the goals we deserve will come. As far as the ref goes, he was far too lenient with Falkirk. Barra could've had a straight red for his reckless challenge on Hammell and how Barr escaped any sort of card is beyond me. He could've walked for the 'challenge' that put Hammell out the game. Their goal came from poor officiating too, with neither ref nor lino stoping the game when Crago went down with a head knock. Very poor and weak officials yesterday, which suited Falkirk more than us. I don't expect to hear a peep from Yogi in the papers this week.
  4. Well here's hoping we can finally get this game on tomorrow, it does sound the most positive its been during this saga!
  5. I know that its been a bit of a hassle and that folk have been inconvenienced, but I'm still looking forward to visiting Harlaw Park, its what the romance of the cup is all about, and as another poster said, they shouldn't be denied their big day (or night) against us.
  6. I see no point in changing a team that played so well at Tannadice, so Las will have to make do with a seat on the bench. In terms of how I see the game going, I reckon we'll either nick it by a goal and struggle, or play them off the park and hammer them! No middle ground with the Well usually! I do think we'll win though, however we do it.
  7. Fantastic clips there, and interesting to see the crowd at both games, even the Hibs game in 78/79 when we were very pish!!
  8. I look forward to seeing this site when its up and running, good luck to everyone involved.
  9. It is indeed a real shame but its no-one's fault, let's hope everyone who has a ticket can get up there on Monday, if its on mind you!
  10. Disappointing news but seemed to be heading that way, at least it gives folk a chance to re-arrange transport, time off etc.
  11. The Louie Thow incident was in the 94/95 season when we finished 2nd but much further away than in 93/94. when we were 3rd but only 5 points from the title and acknowledged as the best team that season. I think that no-one actually believed that we could win the title that season, when in fact our bottle crashed late on.
  12. This news doesn't necessarily mean that Buzz is going or that Fraser will be the new number one, we will need two keepers anyway.
  13. The free-flowing fitba from Locos would suit us more than the up-and-at-'em style most of us expect!! Thanks again for the info Andy, keep it up! Hope to see you on Wednesday.
  14. If Mad Maros keeps up his current form then I'd be delighted to keep him here on a permanent deal, but that all depends on the wages he'd want and the fee that his club would demand. They may just want him off the wage bill and would accept a lower fee so who knows.
  15. Welcome to my world! Since Swinecastle my record on away trips makes painful reading: Nancy 1 Motherwell 0 Killie 1 Motherwell 0 Shellic 2 Motherwell 0 Sheepies 2 Motherwell 0 St Midden 0 Motherwell 0 We'd better flamin' score at Inverurie!!
  16. I am as overjoyed with the result as I am gutted that I didn't go! A point would have been looked upon as a good result today, but to win and win so convincingly is fantastic. According to Keef who was texting me updates (thanks mate!) many players had their best game for the club today, so this should breed confidence throughout the team and hopefully lead to an extended good run. Well done lads!

His fee for January is rising with every game, but I reckon he'll stay unless a decent sized club comes in for him with a big offer.
  18. Agreed, and that's what will happen unless we have any other knocks. Think we can take a point here, their good run can't last forever and we;ve improved a lot recently.
  19. No matter what wages we could muster for Ports, he could always get more down south and that's where he'll head, probably and hopefully in the summer. That apart I'd also want to hold onto Shug and Clarky too.
  20. Maybe it will take our absence for a year for them to realise what we brought to the Masters, both on and off the park. Having two groups of three was on option they could and perhaps should have taken up, but there you go.
  21. Well personally I love the song, and find it more catchy than any other club song......but maybe I'm biased!
  22. I would agree with that completely, and add that I'd consider someone a Motherwell legend if they had made a significant contribution to the club, taking into account impact and length of service.
  23. Completely agree mate, no good reason why the game couldn't have gone ahead on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
  24. In the games leading up to Shellic's visit in late February, I would hope that we could take 8 points without much hassle, and maybe more if we can at either Tannadice or Easter Road. If we take that points minimum then the push for the top six is on.

I'd love the big man to sign a new contract but I can't see it. He can make a lot of money with a Bosman move in the summer and will probably do so, and if he does then he'll go with my best wishes and sincere thanks, especially if he rattles in some more goals and helps us to a good cup run and into the top six.
