  1. Hate to be a pedantic so and so, but it was Ian Fyfe who sent Faddy off. That said, Brines is an arrogant tosser of the highest order, who as I'm sure we all remember helped to eliminate us from the League Cup this season against Accies.
  2. Hugely disappointing to hear this, seems so easy to get things right yet we keep managing to get it so wrong and piss off so many of our own fans. Get it sorted MFC.
  3. My vote has to go to Buzz for a superb performance, making crucial saves at vital times. Maros, Hammy and Craigan were also very good in a gritty performance.
  4. Delighted with the win and with the great run we're on. We're now only goal difference from the top six and five behind Aberdeen in fifth. Not only that but we've opened up a three point gap between ourselves and Accies, and even more on those below. Okay it wasn't the prettiest game of fitba you'll see, but we dug in and defended superbly. The attitude was spot on throughout, even when Accies were slightly on top, and in the end we deserved it.
  5. Thought O'Brien did okay myself. A threat going forward and did a solid shift when defending too, which is as important just now. Not sure I'd be throwing Semih in to the starting line-up just yet.

    Clarky - 50 Up!

Well done Clarky! Great when one of our own does so well, and given the tough time he'd had for one reason or another, I'm particularly delighted for Clarky. Keep it up!

    Bbc Alba

Excellent news, let's just chalk up the three points just now! Now, if we could only start doing something on live tv......
  8. I would start with Cillian up front with Clarky and O'Brien playing off him. The usual midfield three of Maros, Shug and Fitzy and the increasingly reliable defence behind them. They are on a superb run, even better than ours. However they are due a defeat and I suspect that we'll be determined to make up for December 20th. Another 2-0 win for the Well with Cillian grabbing his first Well goal.
  9. A very sensible and reasoned argument that. No way it'll be a sell out considering there was just under 6000 for the original game, played on a Saturday. With the game live on Sky I expect around 500 Well fans there and a sub 4000 attendance overall.
  10. Ha ha ha! I've adopted a lower media profile of late, that's all!

    Free Tickets

I got mine today so I don't envisage any problems.
  12. Strachan has no problem in looking at ex-Gers to bolster his squad, and given that Nakamura, Brown and Crosas are unlikely to be there next season, a new midfielder would be on his agenda. That said I hope it aint true, I want Shug in Claret and Amber next year, but money and Champions League fitba talks.
  13. Let's get behind EVERYONE in the team, they all deserve our backing.
  14. In a way it makes the St Mirren replay a lot harder, knowing the money-spinning prize that awaits us should we win in Paisley. IF we get through I predict a real hum-dinger of a cup tie, and here's hoping that its priced sensibly to ensure a full house, especially given that its likely to be live on Sky.

    'Dear Supporter'

I think the whole thing was binned shortly after the departure of Ian Stillie, so make of that what you will.
  16. Celtic v Forfar Ath/Rangers Aberdeen/East Fife v Falkirk Inverness CT v Hamilton Accies Motherwell/St Mirren v Airdrie U/Dunfermline Ath That would suit me fine!
  17. Unless its a tenner to get in then I won't be going, money is tight for everyone and I'm no different. If its on Sky then that's where I'll be watching it.
  18. Aye but get Clarky and O'Brien running at him, he's shite defensively.
  19. Whilst it is very amusing to read the ramblings of the Saints fans, we have games from years back that we look back on and feel cheated too, the best example of which was the 1976 Scottish Cup semi against THEM, when our 2-0 lead was eroded due to cheating from both THEM and ref JPR Gordon.
  20. Thought his club wanted a loan fee? Can't think they'd release him after insisting on that!
  21. We have snow in Netherton but not too horrendous. Sure the hot air balloon will keep the game on, presuming its in use.
  22. The great news is we have three players to add to Monday's squad ie Shug, Cillian and Semih. Shug will probably start ahead of Las and I get the feeling that Cillian will get the nod ahead of Sutty, however Semih might have to start on the bench. It means the likes of McGarry, Dazzler and Murph might miss out, but isn't having a positive selection problem what we want?
  23. Simpe as that! Hope you're right!
